Is there any way to change the vibration intensity on OP 7 pro? Do I have to modify the build.prop or is there any app I can use? I am running stock kernel with root.

The app Good Vibrations may help.

Like he said, EX Kernel. The stock Kernel is set I think to 30% and you can set it to 70%. Going above 70% causes a bad vibration noise that may damage your phone. 70% is significant. If you can't hear or feel the vibration, you might as well be dead.

Nope not that I'm aware of. Honestly if you like stock kernel you will love ex kernel. It's based on stock with ability to tweak some things.

Odd, it's stock kernel with the ability to change and tweak a few things. Never had an ex kernel be anything other than as smooth if not smoother than stock.

After trying all the kernels this one definitely didn't feel as smooth for me. Clean install too
changing the vibration intensity in EX manager seems to change the vibration type rather than the vibration strength. 30% is stock and 40%-100% all felt like the same strength, but with a different vibration duration/pattern

Hi guys!
I was looking for ways to increase battery life.
As far as I know you can undervolt and decrese CPU speed
Undervolt does not affect performance but does increase temperature right?
Decrease CPU speed obviously decreases the speed of the phone.
Both these things can be achieved by using a custom kernel right? I heard of franco kernel as being the best for these things...
Any other ways of increasing battery life?
Cheers!

Why not try Franco first before starting to tweak. The kernel's default settings are reputedly optimal for that elusive balance between performance and battery life.

Yeah, give it a try. Since I installed it, the phone (and my N7, too) has become snappier, and battery life on standby is awesome (like 1-2%/hr). SOT, on the other hand, is still lamentable, even at dim levels. If you do go Franco, I recommend getting the FK updater app on the Play Store.

You can set up virtually any configuration with Franco. But, again, I suggest you try his default settings first. He put a lot into figuring it out, and his findings likely are the most reliable. I've never felt the need to customize the kernel any differently.
Some people, however, really like to mess around with the settings as a kind of hobby. I used to do so, and it's a lot of fun (and headaches). So, if you want to get into it, go for it. There are numerous apps you can use to tweak all those settings.

I noticed that by default it has 2 cores working and then uses the other 2 when required... This might sound stupid but did stock already do this?
Try greenify and xposed framework.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify‎
Im running the catalysm rom + franco kernel undervolted (which by the way decreases the temperature) and under clocked to 1728mhz. I also am using greenify + xposed. Finally I turn off location reporting, touch sounds, always scanning wifi and set location to "battery saving" mode. Without any gaming I get around 5hr of screen on time. Straight gaming gives me around 2.5hr of SOT. Usually I get around 4hr from my regular day. Any other tips for battery?
I have some problems with the OPO nothing big:
Connection to a headphone often dont work, it plays but i cant here it.
Flashlight gesture ON is often not working, i think it just dont wake ups the phone, OFF works fine.
Using: ParanoidAndroid4.5B1
Anybody has the same problems? My phone is undervolted to -87mV, but i dont think thats the problem.
Is your headphone... happen to be a headset? (with a microphone)?
The flashlight gesture on/off is a ROM problem (or maybe its just you) you have to ask in your respective ROM thread to be sure.
What kernel are you using?

I had a similar problem when it comes to headsets. Try this, plug in the headphone jack very slowly until you hear a "static" pop when you hear it, leave it there for a couple seconds and then plug the jack fully in. When you hear the static pop, 1-2 seconds later it should start playing the music.
I prefer Franco Kernel but currently I'm testing AK Kernel as Franco hasn't been updated for awhile so I'm going around testing what other kernels have to offer. AK kernel seems to have this problem resolved, give that kernel a try and see if your headphone problem still occurs.
Well I don't use PA so I can't really help you with that. Its most likely a ROM problem if the gestures are enabled.
I heard of someone whos phone often got hot in his pocket, because the flashlight was activated by this gesture in his pocket. Maybe they tried to fix this and this is a bug..?

They fixed this in the 30O OTA. They've made it so it uses a proximity sensor so if its blocked, gestures are disabled.

It works with AK? .... yeah AK you kind of need a tweaking app, their default settings aren't optimized. It still has mpdecision on even though intelliplug is in the kernel. Thats one thing I like about Franco Kernel, it doesn't have as many customizations for the kernel but the default settings are very optimized so it works good out of the box. For AK, I have to customize everything to my liking including intelliplug, governors, etc.

Odd... Ak fixed my audio problem.
I'm having a similar problem, no audio through headphones.
I'm on PA and AK.
I thought it was to do with PA so posted my issue there, but now I think it may be the kernel.
Also I get audio output at first it goes away when I get a notification(audio), but that too is very random, some notifications don't affect it some do.
Only a reboot fixes it temporarily, till another notification triggers the issue

It's faster than the kernel i have in it?!? I was thinking it has ran faster than the stock liquidsmooth kernel and my battery life was actually quite good with the whole slutting up the social media scene and 10 hours of hardcore METAL playing of pandora at work.
Is anyone else seeing lag when you wake the phone from sleep? I've been noticing it more often lately... it'll take a few seconds sometimes for the lockscreen to come up from sleep. I'm running stock deodexed COI5 with the modded stock kernel by Jovy23, and I do have fingerprint unlock enabled, but no weird mods or anything unusual that I can think of..

Stock ROM and EX Kernel. Don't need anything custom anymore with OOS (Haven't changed the stock ROM on a phone since the Nexus 6P with Pure Nexus ROM). EX Kernel because it is the closest thing to stock with not changing the ramdisk and I just need a nice and clean kernel to change vibration strength, max sound output and to lower the minimum clock speed of the cores for better idle drain of the battery.
Right now I'm using Havoc. I love it

Okay, I haven't used Magisk before, so trying to get a feel for what people like and why, last phone was an s8+ with SuperSu being the root app and was stuck on samsung bloatware. So far loving the stock Oneplus rom, just wish I had root for a few things. Just passing the time for the rep to get the unlock token from Tmobile since I got my phone on sunday.
Renovate ROM as it makes you feel like you're running OOS+. Gives subtle, but appreciated options, such as vibration when touching QS tiles, changing # of tiles in rows/columns and so on.
Kirisakura kernel because I used his kernel on my 3XL and he's a really nice and awesome developer! His kernel also feels like it has the perfect balance of stability + features.
Smurf and EX are good as well, and I sometimes switch to those occasionally.
I just experience issues like sleep of death and random rebooting with Smurf. EX is for when I just want to use something very simple and stable.
Smurf however makes my device perform like an absolute beast, so I still switch when new versions are released, but ultimately stay on Kirisakura for the most part.
