Hi,
I can't update apps moved to SD Card on my Android 8 Device via Playstore.
Download always fails going over 100%, tried 3 times then canceled.
Have to move to internal to update.
I once cleared app data of play store / services, may be related, not sure.
Any ideas?

ROM: Scott's 10.1 6/16
Play Store Version: 4.1.6
Rooted: Yes
So after flashing to the 6/16 CM 10.1 unofficial, my phone will not install or upgrade 2 apps, Icon Pack- Black and Blue and OfficeSuite Pro 7. I thought it may have been the size that wasn't allowing it, but other apps over 25mb have installed and upgraded just fine.
I've tried to unmount the sd card and install but had no luck, also tried without the sd card in the phone too. I've also cleared the cache and data on both the play store and download manager with no luck. I've tried on wifi and nothing. I have also tried deleting my google account from the phone and that too didn't work. Also wiped the cache partition with no luck too.
Stealthycheif sent me the apk, but they just updated today and the update won't work, Mobile Systems told me to contact Google and they basically said nothing they could do since it's a custom rom.
Is there anything else I can try?
Hi,
I had over 2GB of space before this happened. I bought Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour (2 GB app) and after downloading, it failed three times (twice citing an unknown error and the third time it said there was not enough space), but has left 2GB of files on my phone even though Google Play reports that it's not installed. The second and third time it only downloaded 20MB instead of 2GB.
Now the app isn't installed and I'm stuck with only 300MB left, with no way to remove the downloaded files or install the app. It seems that Google Play failed to remove the files from the app that failed to install and I now cannot install the app or remove the files.
Also, the refund button has disappeared from the app page, even thought it's supposed to stay for 15 minutes after the app was installed and opened - this app was never even installed.
I've tried restarting the phone and clearing Google Play Store and Download manager data and cache. I've also looked in the data and cache folders in the root of the storage, but both were empty.
Does anyone know how to remove the left over files?
Thanks.
Any suggestions?
Try sdcard/android/obb/
Or sdcard/android/data

Thanks a lot, I found "com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GLoftM4HM" which was 1.91 GB under sdcard/android/obb/, which was where the left over file was!
Hi!
I have rooted sony xperia e (c1505) with Jelly Bean 4.1.1. Yesterday I wanted to download Google Play Services from Google Play and it just gave me error "Can't install to default location". So I tried everything I could. Reboot. Deleted and added Google account. Cleared Google Play cache&data, same with Google Services Framework. Put in/out SD card. Deleted latest Google Play updates. Deleted/changed hosts file. Deleted/install Freedom. Tried to install Google Play Services manually, but it just says "App not installed". And nothing worked. And somehow Google Play started to give "No connection" error. So I tried everything even with this error. Only thing I didn't do is Factory Reset. Yesterday all day I tried to move apps on ext SD card (partition) via Link2SD and some other apps. Which I found out didn't even work. Could be my SD card the reason? Or I have to do factory reset? And would factory reset delete root? Thanks

If ur using a freedom u should uninstall that because that is the reason why u cant connect to playstore sometimes, I think bro the problem is ur sdcard and don't move or link the google play services to ur sdcard because if u link this some of ur google apps will not work properly like gmail, try to install the google play service bro to ur internal memory maybe this can fix ur problem. :good:
I am using Android one device running stock marshmallow, which brings in new feature to use ur external storage as phone storage.
After installing mxplayer, it gets installed directly on sdcard but when i reboot my device, the app disappears as if it was never installed.
NOTE : This is happening on apps that get directly installed on sdcard. Suppose an app gets installed on internal storage first and then i move it to sdcard, it will remain in sdcard forever (unless i manually uninstall it).

It's not MX Player's fault.
If you install anything on external memory it's getting removed on reboot. So, Kindly install MXPlayer to Internal Memory.
Looks like there is a bug in Marshmallow update of android one devices. There is no issue in nexus devices since it doesn't come up with sdcard slot.

The issue is not there in all devices.
The issue is a bug from your rom. Not from the apps.
Only way is to force the app to install only in internal storage. But, it will affect the all users who has limted space & wants to move the app to sd.
So, it's better to move the apps yourself.

Hi, I am having the same issues with apps intalled on my Internal Memory.
I have just upgraded my LG G3 D855 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Some apps (like Outlook, Google Maps, Google Translate) disappear when I reboot the phone.

It's better to ask on device specific forums rather than here since it's not a MX Ppayer Bug. Chances of getting a solution here is very less for a device issue.
curiously only mx player disappear but I see that someone said this is not a mx player fault... yoooohooooooo
Hi guys. I am starting a new thread for this issue, because I have practically tried every possible options to solve the Insufficient storage issue, with no result! Sometimes an app doesn't start downloading, the error box opens showing " There is insufficient space in your internal storage and SD card, please free up some space...." Some other times, the app downloads fully, but can't be installed as the error box appears again - "Insufficient storage."
My device is Lenovo A6000, it's just a few months old. I have more than 500MB in my internal storage and a little less than 6GB on my external SD. I am running Android ver 4.4.4 and have my Play Store updated to the latest version since it automatically updates itself.
I have tried these ways:-
1. Deleting Cache.
2. I uninstalled the updates to Play store to revert it back to the factory version. It worked well for some time, then again the same issue.
3. I unmounted the SD card and remounted it again.
If I transfer an app from another device via ShareIt, I can install it perfectly!
I don't want to root my device just as yet. I mean, isn't there any good way to solve this issue? Is factory resetting the only option here?:crying::crying:
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.
