Remove Huawei Mate 9 DEMO

Hi all,
I've git here a Huawei Mate 9 DEMO model, but i want to remove this firmware. Can some tell me how to work?
Model number: MHA-L29C652B109 (Dual SIM, with 2 IMEI numbers, so it's a normal smartphone?)
I have download some firmware versions, but the phone give me a error to install the UPDATE.APP file.

Have you tried reading the forum. Literally one thread with the only way to flash firmware.
100 other threads like this one pointed in the same direction.

Somewere in the settings menu thereis something called DEMO MODE. if you have imeis then maybe you have activated this menu. Try to deactivate and see what's happening

Enable developer options. You will find there demo mode. Deactivate !
P.S. after enabling developer options go to first page in settings and search for DEMO MoDe

This don't work for me? Demo mode = inactive in devlopers modes.
i download stock firmware UPDATE.APP
I'm set this UPDATE.APP on the SD Card (dload)
I'm rebooting in download/update modus
After 5% the mobile giving a " update fail"

How did you get your hands on a demo unit? They sold it like that?

i buy it from a website in the netherlands (consumer auction website). They told me it was a normal mobile, but it's not. And now the seller exist suddenly no more.

I think you have to flash a full firmware. Are you shure you have IMEI's?
BTW. Samsung notes demo phones with an X . Those phones does not have imei and phisically the antenna cable is absent. I have no ideea hiawei' s mode to treat demo but seeing the option for demo mode in developer mode I thought that they don't have special models for demo...

I have helped two people who had demo models before. You need to unlock your BL and rebrand to Euro model. If you can get your Bootloader code, please send me a PM and I will help.

Try rebrand it to C636. It is free. Think, all demo models are branded to one virtual customization.
But according to samsung's experience, there might be some differences in hardware. Probably. I'm not sure. Test everything after rebranding.

Any new if it worked?

Just Uninstall Retail Service app from all apps
Go to settings and all apps and scroll until you find "Retail" from the app list and uninstall it.
it worked for me on Huawei mate 9.

For demo version will not work.
Only solution what i find is to shut down the demo app.
You must click 2 times retail demo icon then will be ask for password 1122334455 from there you can shut down demo.
On that moment its not possible to remove retail app without root or rebranding change C432 (european) because is system app.
On that moment i find only way to unlock bootloader by fastboot. Unlock key you can get by dc unlocker.
Unfortunetly on that moment i cant flash any another software to that demo model and is no luck to root device or rebrand.
UPDATE:
Is lucky to flash recovery file with finded twrp (for nugat version) and not yet confirmed root.
On that moment i playing with 2 oem info files to make rebrand of device copied by twrp file manager on external sd card
/dev/block/platform/ff3b0000.ufs/by-name/oeminfo
/data/custom.bin
If somebody smarter is hear maybe it will be good if he look in app packages of Mate 9 Demo.

UPDATE:
Device is succesfully rebranded and flashed with orginal eu rom.

You have android 6.0 which is made by TheMarionette. You can find that in section Idol 3 android development

Why would you search original MM rom ? It will remove your fastboot commands, twrp etc.And only way to return is to flash panasonic eluga firmware.TheMarionettes rom is as same as original rom only difference is that this rom will not remove fastboot commands and twrp

Well... You can easily flash TWRP using Decker's Sahara & Firehose flasher, and get root after that. Don't need Panasonic Eluga Switch for this, unless you really must have fastboot commands for a specific reason like BL unlocking (I don't, but people have different needs)...
On the topic, seems like the proper (and only?) way to get the original ROM is to use Mobile Upgrade Q, as already mentioned. This question has already been asked, and there was no alternate solutions...

[HELP] Really Bad Situation - Rebrand Problem

My phone is Honor view10 BKL-AL20.
I bought it secondhand. Someone rebrand this phone. In about phone section writes Eumi5, BKL-09 and Android6. But AIDA64 says that my phone is Android8 Also in this app shows that my system is BKL-09... But behind the phone writes BKL-AL20..
So, bootloader unlocked.(Also Imei repaired.) How can I return it to original rom. I have downloaded original stock rom files by firmware finder. But I wonder that if I rebrand the phone, will Imei lost and other stuffs?
What files I have to backup for example wifi drivers etc.
I really need to change original rom because I even cant set a theme.

That's what you have.. This was rebranded it seems.
As I'm not privy to how their number system works.. This is just my opinion.
Maybe the whole Bkl al20 is the hardware and the rest region?.
I've seen where honor 9 is flashing honor 10 roms... Who knows.

Stock OOS Dailer , Contacts and Msg app

Is there any possibile way of getting stock OOS apps back as for now they're shipping with Google dailer , contacts and msg app.
Please let me know if there's any. :fingers-crossed:

I don't know why we would want their apps, the google ones work so much better, but I would like the android R compatible oos dialer so I can play with engineer mode. We need it from the beta R versions from other 8 series phones

Oneplus messages can be downloaded from apkmirror. It works great. I could not find the other two apps.

I don't think he's blaming you. The dialer is probably specific for TMO and probably messed his unlocked OP8T

Are you thinking about dd'ing all the partitions and then flashing them to a tmo variant? It would be risky but might work with a freshly factory wiped device. Of course make a full backup of your own first. Especially modemst and persist partitions.

So, not sure which version that file was created from, but the readme (script) basically says the phone will boot but not work as a phone, and to use local update to update to the latest full OTA. Given that we still dont have the international OTA, it's not gonna help get us there.
Also, while it does contain super.img (system, vendor, product, etc), it doesn't have other partitions like carrier, config, op2, featenabler, and a bunch of other ones. I'm not sure this will get us to fully international. I might try anyways tonight when I get some time.

Not sure what you are looking for but I have the MSM global unbrick dumped. I just can't load it because the zip file is too large (375mb).

Hi there! Did/do you mean 3.75 gb? I've seen the incremental global build at around 352 MB. The full ota are around 3.5 gb big.
In addition, I use mega.nz to host huge files. It's fast and secure.:good:

I'm just waiting for a fully working MSM Tool for conversion, I saw the others are complicated with issues on Windows using the script, so yeah waiting game is on!

UPDATE: I downloaded and unzipped the above package. Phone got hit with a qualcomm crash dump. ERRRggg.....back to MSM.

sorry i'm new with one plus phone, is KB2000 and KB2005 same model? or i need to find a specific KB2000 patched boot image to root the phone please?
And for KB2000 model do we need a specific rom or we can flash KB2000 patched boot image in any rom for example 11.0.3.4 or 11.2.3.1 etc... ?
