Hi, all. Love the work you've all been doing on the custom ROMs for the XA2 Ultra, but I have a question. I just flashed the official Sony 9.0 firmware onto my H3223, but noticed it doesn't have the Photo Table screensaver that LineageOS does. I really liked having it just for the neat factor and was wondering if there was anyway to install it as an APK?
Well, I actually figured it out already. I should've realized LineageOS has a page on APKMirror and found one of the Photo Screensaver apps works when installed on the Sony official 9.0 FTF install.

Hello,
Before updating the Z3 to Lollipop, custom themes such as Little Big Planet or others, downloaded from the Play Store, also changed the softkey appearance. This was a really good feature that i though was quite neat. Gave the phone a fresher look.
However now they will remain stock no matter what theme i set. Was this functionality removed in the Lollipop update? Tried to wipe my phone, uninstalled themes and redownloaded them but no success.
Anyone know anything about it?

This is a limitation from Sony now and they might include it in next update. But you can try Xpose Framwork which is beta in Lollipop. You will need root for that.
Quote me in case you expect a reply!
Good Luck
Hi everyone,
I've been going back and forth between, Stock, LineageOS, and CarbonROM. I've unlocked and rooted, and then went back and relocked and unrooted ....
I ended up liking the non-stock roms, but I much prefer the Sony Camera App from Stock, and not LineageOS or Google. It's ability to record in H265 4K is also very handy.
Is this combination possible? I can't seem to find the right steps to pull this off. LineageOS is so much better (Fingerprint, Battery, Customization, Bluetooth send correct data to my car, etc.)
Any help or instructions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
No, you can't install the stock Sony camera app on AOSP (unless in the future someone ports it).
The only similar app on AOSP roms is HTC Camera app (which recognizes the full 23 mp and has a clean interface), but at the cost that you can't save them to your SD card. Download it from apkmirror and try, you might like it.
Thanks for letting me know about the HTC app and your reply.

Thanks for the tip.
Is this the oneplus mod you are talking about? https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/mod-oneplus-camera-jpg-quality-to-100-t3714595
I'm on Magisk rooted and unlocked op6 with newest stock Oreo oos. Every time I install the newest apk for the camera app, when taking a picture, the picture stores rotated 90 degrees and stretches. Why does this happen and does anyone know what the newest version for Oreo is?
Hello guys. Coming from a Sony phone I just couldn't get used to the MIUI launcher. Every app that's installed, is on your desktop. I rather have them in the app drawer instead. If you're like me, here's a collection of Xperia apps, that work just fine and without the need of root. I haven't ported them, just found them in the xda forums and got them together.
List of the apps:
Xperia Launcher 11.3.A.0.17
Xperia Launcher 11.0.A.0.7 - square folders on desktop
Sony Launcher beta 12.0.A.0.15 - the old weather widget won't work - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397909042
(thanks to Ben Ling for the links)
Clock 5.2.0.243 - Play Store widget that mimics Xperia's clock and shows the alarm clock correctly.
Album 9.4.A.0.24
Album 9.5.A.0.30 - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397903554
Music (Walkman) 9.4.2.A.0.0
Photo Editor 8.0.A.0.11
Xperia keyboard 8.1.A.0.12
Calendar 20.4.B.0.5
Weather widget 2.4.A.0.5
Link in Google Drive.
I have tried these apps on MIUI 8, 9, 10 global dev. rom on Mi 5s, Redmi 4x and Mi A2 Lite. A2 Lite shows properly the notifications and icons on the top part of the screen and looks pretty well
I see you are a man of culture as well. Thanks for the post although I have been using them for a long time still I can use your links when I do a fresh install.
Thanks for the good words
I've also been using these for more than 2 years and finally decided to collect them in one post.
Looking forward to seeing the new Sony launcher.
I've done a repository that keeps the most recent versions of the mentioned Xperia apps. There are also some other apps like Telegram and Chrome. This repository is based on F-Droid and uses their app to connect and sync. So if you want to give it a shot, add the following repository in the F-Droid app:
http://unicastbg.ddns.net:801/fdroid/repo
This is in testing mode, no https at the moment and I can't get the descriptions metadata to work. But if you know the apps by name, you should be fine.
The server runs on a virtual machine and it's scheduled to shut down once a day for a few hours. This shut down is usually during US working hours.
Anyway, if you want to test it, give it a shot. I haven't edited the apks, for which their original signature should prove that. It's just something I wanted for some time and finally got it working.
Hi all,
Is your live wallpaper working in 10.0.2? I had the live wallpapers from OP7T which was working on 10.0.1 but after upgrading to 0.2 the wallpapers are no-go. I can see the preview but can't set them as home/ lock screen wallpapers...when I do so, it reverts to basic wallpaper! I even downloaded the wallpaperresources.apk and reinstalled it but the issue still persists!
Same happens to me. Hope to be fixed.
Same here. Was already wondering and thought that i was the only one.
Well, they fix few and break more with each new update!
I think it is not a bug, they don't want ppl to use new live wallpapers on their older phones.. Maybe..
I installed back the original wallpaperresources.apk, cleared data, restarted.. it worked again..
Restore back to stock oneplus 7 pro wallpapers resource

Pretty sure it's a feature rather then a bug... Press F ?
When i installed whole 2gb 10.0.2 package then the wallpapers came with it. When doing incremental update they got deleted
In this thread the live wallpapers are provided in a separate apks.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/themes/oneplus-7-pro-live-wallpapers-t3930260
But unfortunately not the live wallpapers from OP7T (Pro) which I want so much, since the recent OnePlus Wallpaper Resources (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/onepl...-1-190830195335-67c9bbc-android-apk-download/) will not work on older OP devices than the recent T series.
No news bad news I guess? I miss that blue animated background so much with my 7 Pro.
...a good fella ( @daavid1995 ) did the trick! He extracted the OPWallpaperResources.apk from 10.0.2. on OP7T. This works on OB6 on my OP7 Pro -->
