I have my nexus 5 for about 3 months and i have very small scratch on my screen that only noticeable by light
sometimes when im outside and im with the phone its very annoying to see that scratch.
what can i do to remove it?
I would recommend to just put a screen protector on it that'll hide the scratch. I've bought the scratch remover and used it before on the screen and didn't have any luck getting rid of them. Spigen has an ultra crystal clear screen protector that feels nice and hides the light scratches.
Put a tempered glass
Buy a new screen costs 10$ and glue it on the lcd with loca glue

The Mi4C uses Concore glass which is a product of Gorilla Glass but has the LCD and Digitizer fused together. That means if the glass even slightly cracks you'll have to replace the entire LCD/Digitizer assembly. Even though the Mi4C has a good repairability score, it might be difficult or expensive to get parts as this a phone for the Chinese market only. Using some form of screen protection is essential.
PS: Just google a few guides on how to apply a screen protector properly, I've done so many times without any dust or bubbles creeping in.

Make sure to get the tempered glass variety, as the plastic-based ones are often grippy (making swipes more difficult as your finger kind of sticks to the screen) and more reflective (more difficult to see in the sun), as well as less transparent (screen seems dimmer, and sometimes has artifacts). Tempered glass screen protectors are more expensive than the plastic-based ones and sell for about $5. That said, I've seen suppliers offering the display now, they sell for about $60.

Ye I have a tempered glass one, always used a plastic on my old phones, which is much slimmer but as you say, you can feel the difference :good:
I hear the standard mi4c screen doesnt have such a great olephobic coating, so its a fingerprint magnet. can anyone confirm or deny this statement? sounds like the best screen protector is a tempered glass with good olephobic coating. can anyone recommend a good one?
I applied the standard screen protector that came for free and have one bubble but its on the bezel so I can live with that. Only problem is it attracts a lot of fingerprints

Yep, I confirm. No or poor oleophobic coating, it is a real fingerprint magnet
I don't use a screen protector, not even the free platic one that came with the phone... just don't like them.

Nillkin have a tempered glass screen protector for the Mi4i/4c, called NILLKIN Amazing H. I've heard they're one of the better ones, since Nillkin is also a big brand when it comes to cases and screen protectors.
You can find it on AliExpress for 7-10 dollar. It's probably available at other places as well.
I see nillkin also has an Amazing H+ version.. www.nillkin.com/english/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=0&tid=0&cid=1&scid=&id=5584&page=1

Just comparing the product pages, The H is 0.33m and H+ is 0.3mm. H+ looks to have 2.5D edging craft, whatever that is.
I only use nillkin for all my phones. They fit great and applying them is very easy, because they pack a lot of extras in the box (like wet and dry wipes to clean your screen, tape to remove dust particles, microfibre cloth...). I always need just about 2 minutes to apply them without any bubbles or dust. If there is a dust particle left after applying, just lift the screen protector carefully and use the tape to remove the dust
i found that Edge Control goes crazy when the phone is connected to the PSU and charging. After some minutes of using the Edge controls suddenly do the "back" function all over again. This happens when i just hold the phone in the left hand (not tapping with the fingers - just holding it on both sides in one hand). Can you confirm this? I am using latest sMIUI 5.11.5 (clean installed). If i unplug the typ c connector - all goes back to normal within one minute.

Just get the official one. It's a bit on the pricey side. But absolute best fit and case friendly (at least with the official cases).

I second that. Even after a VERY difficult installing, there is definitely a halo effect d/t black borders.
I had a great experience with Tech Matte screen protector for my Samsung Galaxy S8+ which has curved sides making it very difficult to install any tempered glass protector. But this hybrid protector was a breeze to install. They have not start marketing the same product for OP6 yet but you can check out the one I am talking about at :

Got original one plus 6 tempered glass , 3 of use and just touched while walking in hand, shattered. Low quality tempered glass from oneplus6 official site.

Did you follow the instructions? Because if you did, I find it very hard to believe it would be a very difficult installation. Remove the pre-applied screen protector, put the phone in the included case, wipe the screen free of dust and just fit the tempered glass within the frame of the case. It's probably the easiest tempered glass installation I've ever conducted, and the result is one hundred percent bubble and halo free. Sorry to hear it didn't end up as good for you.

Well, I used the case but the protector is just a bit too small, so at my first try the protector was just a bit to the right and then the sides don't stick well and then you get bubbles
The glass that comes already applied on screen is a fingerprint magnet as well as it does not reach the edges of the screen.
Better buy another one with oleophobic coat in my opinion

I am sorry too. Trust me, if I am able to install tempered glass protector on my S9+ with curved sides, I should be able to handle OP6. It was just one corner that kept on popping up causing the bubbles. I simply could not stand the halo effect because of the black border. Right now, I have a decent case and am not worried about screen protector

Not true from my research. Usually more complaints about a product than praise. I've seen enough people install it with no issues (maybe more time consuming to get perfect) that I'm optimistic I won't have an issue.

I don't think Orzly is fully adhesive, so you will have dot matrix and halo effect - doesn't make sense for me.

i had used on my mate 10 & mate 10 pro as well as the p20 pro i had, my U11+ too.
Which one do you recommend for the S10e? Right now I'm still using the default protector which was applied by Samsung, but I don't really like it.
i ordered one on ebay but i have a feeling it's flat not edge to edge full cover for 10e. They use generic photoshopped stock photo for all 3 models and claim it's curved. I think 10e has 2.5D edge. Not completely flat. I'm also using the garbage thin film they included. For $800 scumsung could include high quality glass and case. I also ordered glass for rear cameras. Never seen or used one before. Not sure what to expect.
tried ESR tempered glass and MP mall tempered glass from amazon
both do not stick on side, ESR is off by like 0.75 mm because of 2.5D curve of glass, it does not stick on side. so dont waste your money on these two, i am still looking for one may be just a bit smaller than ESR.
temporarily ordering a film protector till i find a tempered glass which fits right.
I'm using the PureGear HD Clear Tempered Glass Screen Protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7S174H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_byaHCbZY5Q1N0
It only has adhesive on the edges so there is no bubbles. It is case friendly and is a decent alternative to the whitedome which remains the superior choice for the 2.5D screens.

how is touch sensitivity and does is create rainbow effect like some tempered glass with adhesive on side do?
Keep in mind aftermarket screen protecters (especially glass ones) will have problems with the fingerprint reader.
Im using the samsung one for now until some testing and revising is done
No rainbow effect and if you increase touch sensitivity in the settings it works great. I have no real complaints.

Yes, that's exactly what you are seeing. The S10e does indeed have a factory installed plastic screen protector. You can really feel it around the camera as there's a cutout for the camera. I would expect it to scratch rather quickly, plus I don't think it provides nearly as much drop protection as a tempered glass one might.
I'm following along here hoping that there does wind up being an economical tempered glass screen protector that works well and doesn't life at the edges. Seems like this will be similar to my S7, where I was never really able to find something that works and just went naked.
Thank you for the response I've just been so confused with everyone saying the S10 and S10+ have one but not the S10e. I think you're right it is just a polyurethane plastic protector. And just a heads up I tried to apply a tempered glass protector over top of it and it definitely made it hard for the edges to stick.

I had the same confusion. All of the media I've seen say the pre-installed one is only on the S10 and S10+, but if you look around the camera on the S10e, there's clearly a cutout that confirms there is a pre-installed screen protector on there. I'm still not exactly sure how to get it off. I picked around the edges a bit and nothing is coming up easily.
I'm not sure how well the edges of a tempered glass one will stick even if you took off the pre-installed one. I haven't seen any reports of an economical one that works yet. I think I'm going to be in the same boat as I am with my S7 and be forced to go without one.

I got one. First time doing an install of this type and given the barebones installation tools provided, it was above average difficultly. First one ended up with bubbles.
Planning to get the Redmi K20 Pro but would like to keep it minimal in terms of protection. Just need some scratch protection.
Seen Gadgetshieldz full body screen protector as one of the recommendations.

Anything else that can be used without adding much bulk just for scratch protection? Don't want to hide those lovely patterns on the k20 back.

bought Glazedinc screen protector.. its hard and solid. covered every side.
I am using The Ringke Red Case, along with a generic Hydragel screen Protector from AliExpress (₹65). Till now my phone has had atleast 6-7 falls of which 2 were serious enough to stop the heart but zero bumps or cracks...
I haven't felt the need for over priced screen protectors from Glazedinc or anyone else...

once the Hydragel screen protector is applied, can that be removed .. when we dont want it..
I am using a nillkin screen protector 0.33mm without the black edges. Fits perfect without any bubbles or ring effect. So far the best screen protector for this phone if you want a glass screen protector. It has good olephobic coating so it's smooth and because I got the 0.33mm version they don't crack easily.
Where did you buy that? I have Nillkin tempered glass screen 0.2mm from Amazon India. It doesn't cover the whole screen. It doesn't even cover the display area completely. It also has halo around the edges even though I went to mobile phone store and asked them to apply the screen protector.
This is in fact my 3rd screen protector. I applied 2 others - one which had black edge which covered part of the display, and second one without black edges which also didn't cover the entire display.
I've also bought a set of 2 from GearBest, but I haven't applied it as it's the same size as the Nillkin one.
2 more on the way from Aliexpress, but I'm not too hopeful about them either. I don't want to take chance with another Nillkin, but you've found one that covers the entire screen and the edges stick properly as well, then I'd like to try it.

Oh easily,,, It's just some kind of plastic+rubber film that is preventing any scratches on my screen... Should offer enough protection from breaks also...
I'm using Clearplex on the screen with this phone. Is awesome. The case in the box is nice but not very strong, it's breaking in corners without getting hit or fallen.

Hmm I bought in lazada which is like aliexpress but for my country the 0.33mm one doesn't breakf easily and I understand what you mean by not fitting fully it does have like a gap of few cm of the edges. But a case solves this. I am using spoken case btw. it doesn't have the rainbow effect though. When I got it and install I just push the bubbles out from the side the rainbow effect is gone. Idk maybe different place they use different kind of glass. I am using Redmi k20 pro btw
