What exactly you mean? Like exactly like bixby? Thank God no, I hate Bixby with a passion you have no idea. Well to answer your question this devices comes with Android 9.0 almost pure and no it doesn't have anything like that p.o.s. It has Google Feed its similar but 100% customizable to your liking it is 100% useful and if you don't like it you can disable completely in Home Settings just tap and hold an empty space in the home screen then select "Home Settings" then go to "Swipe Access" select "Nothing" to fully disable it. To enable it again same but select "Google Feed"

Cool, thanks.

Force OK Google Always ON

Does anyone know of a way to force OK Google to be always on? There are tutorials through google, but they either seem to be for non-samsung phones or outdated. I moved from iPhone to Galaxy and underestimated how much I would miss "Hey Siri". Running Superman ROM if that makes a difference.

Tap the Google app then tap Google then the menu icon (top left 3 lines) tap settings > voice > OK Google Detection, tap turn on from any screen and if you want tap turn on Personal Results.

I already checked that and there wasn't an option to turn it on @ any screen. It only seems to work when its charging. It's okay though. With Xposed, I was able to tweak it so I can long press and activate the voice search. Not quite what I wanted, but close enough for now.
Thanks for the reply though.

If you go to google voice settings and tap OK Google Detection you should have these options, only From the Google App is on by default the other are off, turn on From any Screen and you can use OK Google from any open screen, turn on Personal Results as well and you can wake the phone from a locked screen you don't have to tap anything, these should be standard options, I checked back on my old S5 and they are the same.

Now that I have Superman installed, I no longer have those options. All I have is the first one to turn it on. I've heard it runs down the battery a ton anyway.

Ok Google with Home Button

Ok So pretty simple request. I want to activate "Ok Google" using the home button just like S Voice or Siri behaves. With Google set as the Device Assistance App a long press of the home button pulls up the google app, then I have to click the mic button. Or I have to activate it by saying "Ok Google" which is super annoying. I've searched everywhere for a solution and the only thing I found was the following:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQue...t_possible_to_activate_ok_google_with_a_home/
Which doesn't work at all on the S7. A long press of the home button opens the Launcher App which asks me to select google. Basically adding a 3rd step.
I'd appreciate any help!
I use the Google Now Launcher and I had that ability. I will have to play around with my settings to get it back because I installed Labs so when I hold my home button down it waits for me to say a contact name and it calls them. I will have to get back with you on that when I can get access to my phone.
Ok, maybe the new version of the launcher doesn't support that. Now long press doesn't do voice search, it instead shows Now on Tap, but different than what I remember.

Yup.. I still haven't found a workaround. Having the mic always on to detect "OK Google" seems to be a waste of battery.
Hopefully a solution comes up. Thanks for trying.

I have found a solution that works great! I just tested it myself.
Download this app here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dynamicg.homebuttonlauncher&hl=en
You'll want to open it up, select the 3 dots, and then select add.
Add Voice Search, then do the same steps but remove whatever else was there by default.
Now if you're on marshmallow, which I assume you are, then you'll need to go to Settings -> Applications -> Default Applications -> Phone assistance app
And change it to Home Launcher
Give that a try and let me know if that works for you.

You are the man!!!! This worked.. "Auto Start mode" had to also be selected but this finally got the job done.
It wasn't perfect at first. for some reason the responses to my questions where not audible.
For Example.. If I held the home button, the voice prompt shows up and I say "What's my next appointment?". It displayed the calendar item but didn't read back the result. If I activated it saying "OK Google" and asked the same question, I was shown the response and it read back to me. "You're next calendar entry is tomorrow at 7am...".
I tried it again a few more times. Now it seems to be working properly with the home button.
You've made my day. Wish I could buy you a pint of beer remotely.
Cheers!
A simple thanks is plenty, I've got all the beer I need in my fridge. Lol
Was looking for a solution as well. Works great. Thanks.

swipe down to going back

Just updated my gear s3 r760, all fine, new tizen it's very nice, minimalist and clean... But I can't going back swiping from top, it pull down panel every time... I searched for an option but I didn't find nothing... Has Samsung removed this gesture??

Noticed that as well. I had gotten quite use to that feature. Hope there is a way to enable it
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Same here. Would really like to know why, and if there's a way to re-enable it.. :-/
Hope it is only a mistake... Was really useful, now I see every time the control panel... ? ? tonight will try to write to Samsung for an answer maybe if more people write to them they will listen us... Maybe...
Left handers left out in the Tizen experience.
So annoying. As someone who wears their watch on my right hand, this now makes the watch even more awkward to use as now we have to reach over the watch unnaturally to press the back or home buttons to go back. I wrote a forum post at Android Central about how Samsung/Tizen should look to Apple for how to take care of the 10% of their users that are left handed and wear their watch on their right wrist. I sincerely hope someone finds a way to either enable us to flip the watch (like you can on an Apple Watch) so the buttons face the correct/user friendly way, or allow users to re-enable this swipe down to go back feature that has been a part of Tizen for years.

You'll find that setting in s health on your gear, go to heart rate, click the three dots on the right and you can set to never, every 10 minutes or always. For me they had to add something like every one hour or personalized to user liking...

Unbelievable to me too. I would trade ALL of the new features (and I like them) just to have the 'swipe down to go back' feature again. I don't know how removing that feature got past usability testing.
I think they removed it so the button will break down faster and you will have to get a new watch eventually.....
I need this function, too! Cannot use my watch properly anymore. I don't want to be pushing buttons, I liked the watch 5x better when it was 100% swipable.

I find it rather amusing that I don't know what swipe down to go back feature you guys are talking about.in the first place.
I am very disappointed and will get rid of this watch soon if this feature does not come back soon. The swipe down made using the watch more fluid- imo
I never liked that feature. I always wanted to swipe down like I do on my phone. It's taken some getting used to, but I really like the new implementation.
I bought the Gear S3 primarily because I loved how you could swipe down from any screen and go back without having to press a physical button. I stupidly updated the Gear software and now the major reason to like this watch is removed. I, like a dummy, bought the Gear S3 at T-Mobile and now I'm paying like $15 a month for a smartwatch that I hate to use. I'm just venting because this is extremely frustrating.
This watch is going to be paid off and then sold on Craigslist or just tossed into the garage. I hate this thing now.

Before tizen 3, we can use swipe gesture to navigate back in every screen, now Samsung had removed it and we have to use phisical button... Not a big deal, but after some years we used to going back with this gesture, it's like restart from zero... It took some days to habit to new method, and every time I pulled down notification panel instead of simply going back... That's it
You guys should have read the changelog before updating.
It's stated clearly right there that swipe down now opens the panel on all screens.
That's thread is actually pretty funny.

bypass fingerprint lock?

So I was messing around with some settings today and using the double tap power button to launch camera from either ambient display or the lock screen. Well that's all fine and dandy and it works but I also let's anyone unlock your phone cause once in camera app you can hit the home button or back button and it'll allow access to the phone in its entirety. Kinda a fail set up. Hopefully fixed. Truly IDC caus no one uses my phone that I don't trust and I NEVER leave it anywhere that I feel wouldn't be safe. Let alone on table at Starbucks or a bar like I see sooo many people do.
All input is welcome on this subject
i couldn't get mine to unlock, but then again I am using Navigation Gestures not the Nav Bar
Nevermind I'm a retard, but as I stated I was messing around with settings today. I set the "on body" to keep device unlocked. Lol live and learn right?

Honestly I really really wanted to use the gestures, make things feel new and all coming from my old phone but truly I can't they are too show. I always use the double tap recent to almost instantly go back to last open app and switching apps is world's faster this way.

I've never heard such kind of gestures. Which phone/magisk module was that ? Google pixel ?
I also use gestures but once my thumb is on the top half of the phone it's a long way to reach the bottom of the screen [emoji2356]
So I couple it with pie controls

I use pie controls as well. All phones with Oreo and above have the option to double tap the recents button and it will instantly switch back to the last app open. Say I'm in Facebook and leave to Samsung browser. If I double tap quickly on the recent apps button. I can switch back and forth very quickly between the 2 apps.

Open Google Home app. Select your device and then Settings. Scroll down to “Device settings,” then select Accessibility. If you want to hear a sound only after you say “OK Google,” turn on the toggle On next to Play start sound and leave the Play end sound slider off Off.
If you want your device to play a sound after you say “OK Google” and after Assistant stops listening, turn on the toggles On next to Play start sound and Play end sound On.

I did find this but I don't know if it'll do it..
First make sure that you’re connected to the Wi-Fi network you’ll use for your smart speaker and then launch the Google Home app on your phone. The next step is to tap the “+” icon in the top-left corner, select the “Set up device” option, and then tap on “Set up new devices in your home. All you have to do from there is follow on-screen instructions to get the Google Home set up.
Also make sure Google home is the default app and not Bixby.
