Hi All,
the new galaxy fit band requires a plugin from the store named "Galaxy Fit Plugin", which crashes.
i ran Logcat and got " java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown Android API : 29"
anyone have a way around it? i'm carrying a freaking Xiaomi A1 device in my bag just to work with the stupid band...

Hi,
-- note -- I'm not allowed post links, so I have to plaintext them, sorry --
I've posted some information already on stackoverflow (see the bottom of the entry) - maybe someone here might be able to help me out either. I have a bluetooth connection issue on a Samsung i5700 Spica (Galaxy Portal, Galaxy Lite - depending where you come from). The phone runs Android 2.1.
What I want to do is to connect a bluetooth heartrate monitor (Zephyr HxM) to my Android 2.1 phone - I have an application there which can log GPS coordinates, heartrate, pace, bearing etc...
Currently, in the bluetooth settings, I can scan for bluetooth devices, I can see the HxM heartrate monitor and I can pair the device using the PIN 1234. However, in the application (Run.GPS) it is not possible to connect to the device. I wrote a python script to try to debug what was going on.
The logcat traces are here:
1. pastebin.org/191806 - trace from my python app
2. pastebin.org/191824 - source of my python app
3. pastebin.org/191830 - trace from my Run.GPS
4. pastebin.org/199621 - trace after doing the pairing as part of the python script
There is more information available here:

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with Bluetooth SPP on Android 2.1 (or Samsung Spica)? Any ideas as to what may be going wrong?
forum.samdroid.net is also looking into this
Absolutely no ideas? forum.samdroid.net/threads/598 may provide useful information also...
I can't give valuable feedback because how the board permissions are set up. I don't want to get into how the board should be ran and I will not. I am a website owner myself as well as a developer in PHP, VB, ASII, and JavaScript.
Can someone see that this topic - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150 gets the information it needs or this topic gets merged as a post.
Thanks in advance, just wanted to give some feed back without having to troll and spam just to give it in the other boards.

Hello,
i bought an EasyCap (version UTV007) frame grabber and
bought the EasyCap Viewer from the android Play Store,
installing it on my android devices:
- Acer Iconia Tab A500 ( nvidia tegra 2 with Android 4.03)
- Created (Alps) N7 (mt6592 with Android 4.4.2)
- Xiaomi M2S (qualcomm snapdragon, Miui JLB54.0 (V5))
In the app description i read that this application should work on most devices,
but i runned it on my devices, and the only device that works with this application is the last, the Xiaomi M2S
In the 'Acer A500' when i start the application, i get a black screen and the appl is not responding.
In the 'Created N7' the application starts normally, but i dont see the video coming from the camera when i connect it.
For the 'Created N7' sent the easycap application log report to the developer (Autodroid), but after a first (not working) answer on how to fix the problem, i have no more feedback from him.
For the 'Acer A500' i cannot send the application log report, so i activated the LOGCAT and sent it to the developer, and also for this i have no feedback yet.
I would like to make the app work with at least one of the two devices (the Acer or the Created N7), because they have a big screen..(10" and 7"),
so i can view my camera better than on Xiaomi M2S (too small 4" screen to see videos)
so i need some suggestion from some expert android developer that could help me to investigate the cause of the problem
(looking the logcat, seems the appl in the Acer stop working a few seconds after start, loading the streaming library... and instead in the Created N7, seems there is some problem getting the video signal...)
Could you help me to find the answers to fix the appl problems on these two devices?
Or, if this appl cannot work, can you suggest me some alternative appl/frame grabber that can work with my devices?
Thank you!
Lodovico

hello,
i bought the easycap viewer android application,
and installed it on my devices
The easycap viewer needs an easycap frame grabber , connected via usb to the device and connected to a camera (via bnc or s-video or rca connector)
the devices i have are these:
- Acer iconia tab a500 (tegra 2 , android 4.03)
- Created N7 (china phablet, mt6592, android 4.4.2)
- Xiaomi m2s (qualcomm snapdragon, miui v5)
The application does work flawlessly with the Xiaomi m2s,
instead:
on the Acer, when i start the app, the screen become black, and the app is not responding
on the Created N7,, the appl starts , but when i connect the camera, i cannot see the video coming from the camera
I dont understand why on these devices the app does not work,
and need help to understand what is the cause of the problem.
The app includes an option to send log report to the developer
(autodroid), i sent it, but autodroid told me to try with a powered hub, but this did not help...now they are working on other project, so they told me they cannot help
Could you please help me to find the cause of the problems?
By the way, on the Acer i cannot send the report, because the appl is not responding:
so i enabled the logcat, and i was able to see in it that the appl is hanging when it tries to load the streaming library...
Could you help me?
I can send you all the data you need to debug the appl..
or, if not possible to fix it, could you suggest me an alternative frame grabber application/usb dongle that can work with my devices?
PS for the forum moderators:
this question was submitted also on XDA assist,
but there only a user answered to me.
The answer was absolutely general and not satisfactory,
then the thread was closed by the same user.
So i opened this new thread.
Please keep it open,
so that i can get also other opinions from other users.
Thanks.
Thank you!!

I'm not a complete newbie to AW but I've failed so far in connecting an otherwise smoothly working Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Android 5.0.2 LRX22G, Miui 7.1.1.0 (LHMCNCK) to a new Sony Smartwatch 3. "g.co/wearcheck" claims the phone is compatible, androidwear app does install and pair to the watch. But then the updating process freezes... or runs for ever, litterally. I've opened up all permissions to AW and google apps, rules out all power saving options. BT connection does look very stable, sync. occurs when you don't expect it, if ever, and watch seems unable to read anything on phone, even when BT connection seems OK...
I've read on several places on the web, including Sony SW3 official forum, and Xiaomi international one, many complains.
So are Miui 7 and GW known to be incompatible or should I struggle some more, trusting g.co/wearcheck?
