I'm not a complete newbie to AW but I've failed so far in connecting an otherwise smoothly working Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Android 5.0.2 LRX22G, Miui 7.1.1.0 (LHMCNCK) to a new Sony Smartwatch 3. "g.co/wearcheck" claims the phone is compatible, androidwear app does install and pair to the watch. But then the updating process freezes... or runs for ever, litterally. I've opened up all permissions to AW and google apps, rules out all power saving options. BT connection does look very stable, sync. occurs when you don't expect it, if ever, and watch seems unable to read anything on phone, even when BT connection seems OK...
I've read on several places on the web, including Sony SW3 official forum, and Xiaomi international one, many complains.
So are Miui 7 and GW known to be incompatible or should I struggle some more, trusting g.co/wearcheck?

First - Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I thought about putting it in the Nexus 7 Q&A but I figured this isn't really device specific, more OS specific.
I'm deploying about 25 Nexus 7s to a classroom in the coming week. There's the 4.2.1 update, which I'm planning on just doing through fastboot & the nexus 7 toolkit rather than waiting for each device to boot, connect to wifi, wait for updates... and that whole process.
The question I have is more around customization of the OS across those devices. I'd like to add a couple apps (Kindle / B&N) and also pre-configure the Wifi. Can I do that, then take a nandroid and apply it across all 25 devices - or will that duplicate device IDs and cause weird issues later? If that's not the best way to do this - any recommendations on the best way to handle a multi-device deployment?
Thanks!
Can I use gps navigation without internet(data connection or wifi) on this tablet? I know there are 2 types of gps. That one that needs internet connection and that one that connects to satelites! This tablet which type of gps has?
Please tell me! I need now!
Hi,
I imagine it would work just off satellites, no WiFi or data.... But.... You would likely need a GPS navigation app that claims to work that way, where you'd pre download the maps you would use. See the play store for various options.
But I don't own or know anything about your specific device, so you could ask about it here,

Good luck!
Hi folks,
I'd like to log USB traffic on Android Pie, similarly to the way WireShark does it on a PC.
I have a Jaguar XF with an InControl Touch Pro ICE system. One can download an app called InControl Apps, which enables a select few Android apps to present themselves on the car's touchscreen as well as responding to touch events, when the phone is connected via USB. The system is actually called Bosch MySpin, although the MySpin app won't work with Jaguar cars. Unfortunately when I submit my details on the MySpin developer programme website, it crashes. I know they got my information, because one of their developers looked me up on LinkedIn, but they've been totally silent. I can understand if they've effectively closed the doors with Jaguar switching to Android Auto for this year's models, but it would still be cool if I can work out the protocol and publish it for others to tinker with too.
Cheers
Hello ,
Looking for some good phones for Android App Development especially for the below criteria :
> Must have Latest NFC,BLE (5.1/2) and Motion Sensors
> Must have Latest Chipset from Vendor(Qualcomm , NVIDIA,Samsung,etc)
> Good to have Wireless Charging
> Ok to be closer to Google Build/Eco System ( like Motorola, Lenovo - I am not asking especially for these brands but looking for something closer to Google eco system)
> Must have Android 10 and propose Long Term Support ( 3 years at least )
> Also looking for Good Tablets ( any size)
I Looked at this post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921038 but this dates back to 2011.

Google Pixels are the best for your usage. Pure stock Android, the longest device update support, first to be updated. They can be cheap (eg google pixel 4a) or at a flagship price. In short, they're the ones you need
Hello, I am asking for help. I have a little idea about matters related to winning new software, soft or Rom files for smartphones. I got a little used tablet from a friend, but on Android 4. 0 3. It's a Lenovo think Pad tablet. Its serial number is MP06R1K. I only need to use it to control the Soundcraft ui 16 mixer. It works by connecting via Wifi using a browser, but it must be an HTML enabled browser. 5 All attempts to connect to ui 16 so far have failed, because it's too old Android system and you can't download it either from the play store (you can't log in to google), also from another website and any google chrome browser that supports HTML 5. or any other browser. I am also asking for help with what program to connect the computer with the tablet and where to download the ROM, for example, android 5? Android 5?
