[Q] Any news on the 2.3.4 update in the Asian version??

Anyone know anything about this, because I remember that HTC said that the update of the Asian version would come out first that the U.S. version and the version of tmobile 4g sentation has a rolling update, which will be happening??

I always do every day, but nothing yet...

I am also upset about it ... the HTC Asia is always coming after, and the site has not htcdev htc asia version

Nothing here yet, it's taking longer than usual this time.

Yeah thats also strange, but only the eu version is mentioned so Im guessing other versions will be added.

Software Patch

Not sure if you guys have seen this, but there is a patch coming out to address wi-fi calling battery drain. I personally have not experienced this issue, but I thought its nice to know:

OTA tend to roll out in waves just in case something happens and they have to halt roll out. Keeps the entirety of their network from being affected.

Still waiting for the patch :-(

I always have full bars of WiFi service and 4 or more bars of service. It might be because he not on a final T-Mobile ROM. Don't worry I'm releasing one tomorrow a rooted version and unrooted.

I can't even make calls on wifi since skype is broken!

have you checked the software version you have currently on the phone? Last weekend i got a software update notification and when i looked at the version that they were sending and it was the version with the issues.. I had originally from the box an older software version... you may check that up while your waiting for the update..

But as much as I know, it's not officially out as an OTA, isn't it?

That's rigtht... you'll find it integrated in some custom roms.

Unbranded EU device with 1.53.401.2 here... shouldn't I receive your version, at least? Or is it a tmobile only version?

If your looking for a changelog... dont, htc dont provide them.
The only thing we know about this - im guessing the update is for 3.33.x base - is that it fixes some pretty major bugs from tests

I guess they solved the 3.33 touchscreen issue.

I think the OP means the OTA update from 3.32.401.5 to 3.33.401.6 which he recieved a few days ago

yes, that exactly what i mean is that really worth updating, as I have rooted 3.32, so I have to unroot it, update to 3.33 and root again.

You shouldn't have to, if you flash the universal firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767&highlight=firmware

I`m not sure, as I bought one Sensation from three, but broke it and get this one from insurance. It came without any simlock or three boot animation. It looked just like a non-branded, and i don`t think they debrnded it.

Yes. Still on 4.0.3 and we don't know wether we'll get one. Every weeks, HTC is saying that the update should be availible in a couple of weeks. The S4 version already has 4.0.4 with SenseUI 4.1 (SenseUI 4.1 you can get with the Trickdroid 2.1 ROM) for a few months.

the only difference between S3 and S4 is hardware. is not problem related, but hardware related. So don't worry, doesn't have nothing to do with the OS itself (you can do whatever you want with root, apps, etc).

I've received an S3 (with quick sistem info, i've read the 1.7 frequency). I've installed CID Getter and I've [HTC__102]. I've read that my phone is no brand, so i've thinked that i can install the latest update via RUU. Is it true?

as i predicted, htc one s c2 again got forgotten by htc and sw update
as if was not enough that i didn't get phone that i wanted when i was buying it, now i can't have software update at same time as rest of world
thank you HTC, i think this will be my last HTC phone i bought (had desire before, slcd version that is... again not amoled that i wanted)

HTC One S S3 processor 's products resulting from the wrong decision of the Executive HTC. They shortage chip S4 from the manufacturer.
And decided to use S3 Processor . Without telling consumers. And not a price cut.:good:

HTC China already announced it was coming in January and they only sell s3 models so you kinda stupid for thinking we would get it at the same time....,
Plus we already know from the last update s3 devices are at the end of the one s roll out.

My wife has a one s s3 version unbranded with Cid htc__001 but am still on 4.0.3 and sense 4.0, running 1.11.401.110 in the UK. Should I not be on 4.0.4 at least and just waiting for jellybean in a few weeks?

when i bought my phone(1 month ago) a dont have 4.0.4 OTA available too, it looks like they paused 4.0.4 or something....but if you want to install it you can do it by RUU
at first install this
http://www.htc.com/uk/software/htc-sync-manager/download/
download RUU from there(4.0.4)
http://d-h.st/3CA
and now double click on file you downloaded and follow instructions its very easy but one disadvantage is that phone will be wiped(factory defaults ) you need to backup everything except 10gb partition for data
