OTA 2.3.4 Upgrade!

Good news! Before half an hour I get OTA 2.3.4 upgrade notification on my Sensation.
I live in Croatia and have a debranded phone.

Very Sweet, I just checked here (The Netherlands) with an unbranded Sensation bought via Vodafone and hey presto I got an update waiting

Nothing in Cyprus yet!

Do you guys have a stock ROM?

I have a Vodafone, self debranded, now stock rom, but no update available.

Upload it and then share it,all the devs need it

I have S-oFF anche LeeDroid 1.3 based on the 1.35.401.1 firmware... But the phone is checking for updates and dosen't find anything

My phone is stock, no s-off or root, 1.35.401.1 software number.

can't install because of manual s-off and root getting a CWM blue andriod with exclamation triangle when trying to update. reverting to normal and trying again

if you have stock recovery,you can update.s-off causes nothing

I like the new Android Marked in 2.3.5 its more sleak that the one in 2.3.4. Hopefully we will get it to Sensation soon

Yup, and I have no need to root or change from a stock ROM, never needed to with my HD2 on WM6.5 either, or my HD before that. O2 have yet to give me a phone or update with bugs, so I'm happy to wait for their 2.3.4 update, but just wish it was sooner

Well I live in Denmark. I unpacked my Sensation and put in the Simcard, charged the phone. As I started the phone and it was in Android it told me that I could download Android 2.3.4 update...
Maybe that is because my phone isn't branded?

Yes, Euro unbranded phones have had the update.

I got mine from Vodafone and was able to update to 2.3.4. did so and then rooted it and flashed the official europe 2.3.4. got tired of all the trials and 360 Vodafone crap. Using it with a t-mobile sim atm Update should be here for you soon!

There are no O2 apps on mine, infact if I hadn't bought it from an O2 shop I'd think it was unbranded

Anyone receive ICS FOTA?

Like my title, whose Sensation / XE already receive ICS FOTA ?because i saw some forum post the HTC official Europe ICS RUU for public download, i suspect that is fake official RUU.

The posted RUUs are leaked. They were built by HTC.

That's old news (beta). I think they were talking about a new stable official RUU.

Just seen someone comment about a new ota earlier on Google+. Could happen.

There is a finished ICS, and some HTC employees are using it, I seen a Sensation XE running the final version today (see my other post in general)....now hopefully one of the devs contacts can get hold of a copy of it, well, we will be laughing

That can be found with the search button but iirc:
If you update the update will be downloaded but not installed
Then you have to boot in recovery and install updaet yourself

ICS Update Available in Taiwan

Hey guys,
these days I have been checking the update frequently hoping for its arrival soon and this afternoon the update has arrived.
I have a Sensation XE stock rom (Asia_TW) unbranded. I bought the phone in Taiwan and received the update in Hong Kong.
I am pretty sure the Asia update has started. Good luck guys!
My findings regarding ICS/Sense3.6 :
1. System becomes smoother. (Rotation/animation/System overall response)
2. Wi-Fi works perfectly, with/without SIM card.
3. Total available RAM is now 583MB (10 Mins after boot, 194MB free)
4. Boot Up Time: 2min 30sec (+- 5sec)
5. Multi-touch Switch problem still exist

Try the CID checking app on the market. CID is what ota releases are mainly based on. There is another thread with a CID list.

Congratulations!!but don't know when will start in Malaysia....malaysia alway is slowest.my last experience on my desire s,after Taiwan start roll out the ota,Malaysia still need to wait few months.

Full filename is enough. It cold be downloaded from OTA server directly when we know filename.. But I'm afraid for EU phones it is not usable due to different base version and OTA file is just patch! It could be used be developers to see what has changed there and what to cook into their roms..

Finally some progression wonder if HTC also fixed the multitouch bug in this release like devs has done it already.

I am in Taiwan and I haven't gotten the update yet. OP is wrong.
I bought the phone in Taiwan and my carrier is Far East.

It could very much be due to the CID thing. They release the update based on the CID (and IMEI as well? not certain about this.) and as I read from other posts I think they release it to 30,000 devices at a time so the server won't break down. Wait for some time I'm quite sure it will come to your device soon.

Not sure because AFAIK it is Kernel bug and Taiwan has exactly the same kernel build ..

The multitouch problem still exists. Quick tab on the screen switch the first and second tab.

Stil no Update in Hong Kong

I just checked my CID and I also have HTC_621. I still haven't gotten the update.
So maybe it's for HongKong only. Not in Taipei yet.
I'm gonna ask another friend of mine over here with a Sensation if they got the ICS update. Will update after I ask.

As I know so far, the ICS OTA update in Taiwan only for Sensation "XE".
Sensation non-XE not update yet...

New OTA 3.33 firmware in Europe

Today's check and there is new firmware for EU Sensation:

Can you post the build.prop please?

looking through the zip

Just patch file inside of file... Did not downloaded it to phone, just direct dowload to PC using link to fota server. There is new firmware.zip inside, several apps as such for Adobe Flash and patch to lot of system/app ... That's all I can see..

You cannot read what's inside the build.prop it is encrypted.
I think it's android 4.0.4 Update but not sure

It seems to be update to 3.32.401.5_R taking it up to 3.33.401.6 as it says in file name. Guess this has come direct from HTC as it has '401' in the middle for unbranded hand sets?
Im currently running 3.32.401.5_R so wondering whether I can change to pg58img and flash it through recovery as im completely stock (other than s-off)

I'm completely stock and still have 3.32.401.5 why I can't see the update?

When an update goes out, not everybody gets it at the same time. If everyone woke up in the morning and all started updating at once it would be a heavy load on the network(s). Be patient and good things will come.

Did you SuperCID before or have an unbranded phone? Not sure if that is necessary in this situation/with this package but seems better to be safe. If not I would wait until someone picks out the best parts of it and makes a flashable zip with more CIDs supported.

Then how come there are 2 different RUU's from Football, 3.32.401.5 and 3.32.401.5_R
By your theory only 3.32.401.5 would have RUU as the _R version would be OTA. Therefore me thinks you are wrong, I dont know what differences there are between 3.32.401.5 and 3.32.401.5_R but I suspect they are minimal

I don't want to wipe everything from my phone ... Why I didn't get the update? I'm completely stock but s-off

any idea how to flash it ?? in bootloader dos't work and not at 4ext. i extract everything out and try to change name of firmware name to PG58img.zip seperatly but that didn't work either. any one ????????

Hey mate. Im s-off and have Super-cid. Not bothered about custom roms anymore. Would like to apply the ota via bootloader if anyone can help?
