I'm looking to easier way to recover my apps and data from a LG G6. The switcher app isn't working at all even in airplane mode with just wifi on. I've tried the help forum on OP community app. Still not luck along with connecting to it without scanning the QR code. I'm copying data from LG to PC now but it's taking a while on USB 2.0..
Why didn't OP just keep it simple like all other phone companies when I sign in with my Google account just offer to recover my app data

Hello
I just got my Lumia 900, I use Windows Mobile for years, I feel a bit uncomfortable on WP7, I have a few questions:
1. How to sign out Windows Live? I don't want to sign in all the time, it waste data and battery. I know I can just turn off data, but sometimes I want to leave data on for other program.
2. How to know the phone is using data? On WM you see small 3G appears with signal bar, on Android you see 3G appears with up/down arrow. On WP7, I did not see any changes on upper indication area when I am using data.
3. How to lock the orientation of phone dialer? When I hang up the phone, the phone tilt a little bit and cause the dialer window rotates; so, can I lock it?
I wish someone could give answers. Thanks!
Edit1:
Q1 is answerd
Q2: I observed the phone behaviour. It shows 4G when I turn on the data, and sometimes it shows LTE. I assume when it shows LTE, it is using data. Maybe I am wrong.
Q3: Orientation Lock can only be installed for unlocked Lumia 900. so it seems mission impossible by now.
Some new questions:
Q4: Multi tasking: When I download some big files from internet, while I am waiting, I start to open another app. It seems the download is paused. This is very annoying. I cannot wait for hours to use the phone until the download completes
Q5: How to exit IE quickly? If I browsed 50 pages, looks like I have to press "BACK" for 50 times to exit IE......
Q6: Real time battery percent indication on live tiles? Tried to search the market but no success.
Q7: Can the upper status bar(Battery status/signal bar, etc.) fix on the screen?
Q8: How to set IE home page??
You can sign out of Messenger by opening the Messaging hub, selecting Status (from the AppBar at the bottom), and choosing Sign Out. You can turn off syncing of your Windows Live email by opening the settings for the email account and disabling the automatic sync, which will cause the phone to not use any data or battery life for that purpose. I'm not sure what other aspects of Windows Live you want to sign out of, but considering that things like your Marketplace purchases (including apps, even free ones) are tied to your Xbox Live account, which is in turn tied to your Windows Live account, you'd lose a lot of functionality if you actually signed out.
There's no official way to tell when the phone uses data. Short of temporarily disabling cellular data (to guarantee that the phone is *not* doing so), you could try enabling Airplane Mode, which turns off pretty much all background data usage but permits apps and user-initiated actions (web browsing, app purchase, etc.) to use data.
There's a homebrew app called Orientation Lock that sort-of handles the third question (it just turns off the accelerometer entirely until you choose to turn it on again). I don't believe it was ever accepted to the Marketplace though, so you need a developer-unlock for your phone.

Thanks. One more question: On WM, if I connect the phone to the PC, my phone can get internet connection through PC by ActiveSync. It is very convenience, I don't have to turn on data/WIFI. Can we do on WP7? I tried but it won't work.
Connect your phone to your PC and start Zune music player. The phone should get internet connectivity, once Zune recognises your phone.
You need to reconnect 3-4 times it if it fails. It's annoying but it's working.
good!. Thanks, it works.
Trying to transfer my contacts, and stuff over from my iPhone. But after signing into my iCloud account on smart switch it just say's no content!?
Any ideas?. Thanks guys
same here, and the USB cable method says its disconnect at 98% i uninstalled and re-installed smartswitch but the iPhone in airplane mode, but still no good.

start by factory reseting it
follow other googled guides to get to internet browser
(ie- talkback settings... youtube account manage...ect.)
goto frp.f0il.c o m and select/hold down first link
choose to open link with gmail
top right three dots for settings .. app settings..
in gmail app settings click notifications
you should* be in phone settings at this point
(im not looking at my fone at this time)
you should* know what to do at this point
(you should combine methods and try the things you googled)
The Main Idea Ill Quickly Cover Here
in settings- app manager - clear/delete caches/data for goog services framework/goog play services &
BOTH setup wizzzardds
in setting- security- enable download from unknown sources - Disable all device administrators
press back 100 times or until you're back at WELCOME screen
with WiFi OFF repeatedly and quickly press next and next and next or okay then back a couple times and repeat until com.android.LGhome (whatever its name is) crashes. your trying to lag out the fone untill Home crashes and when it do it cant load setup wizzz and it cant load goog services or WiFi so it loads home screen wooo hooray... Not done, but you should know what to do if you used google more
settings- backup/reset ---factory reset
done
Oh just remembered an easier way . use LG backup from any other LG device with the app LG backup (id upload it but i suck) and you can just copy an opened devices settings into an frp locked fone once you make it into settings. simple. probably patched now that i posted this. oh wellll
stay in drugs, don't do school kids
*optional methods
insert SD card ... in Storage- navigate to SD install apps (sidebar lite)
in internet browser or youtube app launch gmail and login to microsoft account email (alt method, google it)
*end of optional methods

Don't share FrP bypasses, there's too many people abusing these. I personally had to stop sharing my method of unlocking phones for that reason.
Hello
My issue is with a productivity app "todoist" on an LG g5
I was unable to sync local changes, and tried several methods to work this out along with the company's representative, none of which worked.
I attempted to solve it by logging out, assuming that logging back in may solve the problem.
Now the app won't sign in, and i'm hoping to find my locally-stored un-synced data once i manage to log-in
The error i get is : An unknown error occurred, please wait a few seconds and try again. And it seems that to make it work again all I have left is to remove and reinstall the app.
The local unsynced data is very valuable for me, when I go to the app's info it shows that the stored data size is around 6mb.. For me that means that it's still there somewhere.. I wish to find the files and back them up then load them after reinstalling.
Would appreciate some deep help here.
Thanks in advance

I have a Samsung s22 Ultra device, my husband and I were trying out the parental control feature.
Even after stopping supervision, it's impossible to uninstall the parental control app and remove it's restrictions from my phone. This prevents me from using Developer Options/usb debugging, uninstalling Family Link as well as many restrictions. I cannot change my google email. (It won't allow additional email or removals)
Here are some things I tried:
1.. I've already tried age verification
Already stopped the supervision on my friend's phone, completely removed from family group
Tried clearing cache and storage of all Google apps
Removed myself from the family through Play Store
Tried resetting all settings, but factory reset is disabled
Tried disabling parental control as a device admin, it is greyed out
Unable to boot into safe mode
Can't enable developer mode (so no ADB)
Security certificate section is disabled
Deleting my Google account is not at all an option, it's my primary account
Tried changing the password of my Google account, and tried to force log out and reset using the Find My Device feature. That Didn't work( it says no device registered)
Tried transferring the app(family link) to the SD card, and removing the SD card. Didn't help, it still has restrictions
unable to reset the phone through Samsung find my device and through Google find my phone( both say my phone is not registered)
on my hubby's phone it says open parental control (by going to Google In settings) and set up again to start supervision.
On his phone shows no child, on my phone shows monitoring active
Tried meddling with my birthday in my google account, at some point it asked me to verify my age through card, which I did. And the age got verified.
Tried to install beta version of family link,by signing up through Google Play Store, hopping the beta has resolved the issue, but it didn't help
Tried restarting my phone several times, but no avail
Tried hard resetting(through recovery menu), the phone won’t go into recovery, it vibrates at point where it Was supposed to go into recovery menu, and boots normally and phone turns on
My problem is my phone has become laggy and I'm not able to add Google accounts.unable to reset my phone. Please help in removing malware of an app Family Link. I know this may not be the appropriate place to ask, but I am desperate. Thanks for any help.
I have a similar issue with a firneds tablet. What a mess!
You can disable it with ADB. Or even uninstall if you want.
Code:
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.kids.familylink
Edit: just read u cant enable dev options weird.

First of all, why did you add yourself as a child requiring supervision?
Anyways, Family Link app is just an interface to change settings and permissions. Switching to beta version or doing other things with the app will not make any difference. The problem is with the account settings. Your Google account is still being supervised. Until this restriction is removed, you won't be able to add other accounts or factory reset the device. Ideally, once you stop supervision, these restrictions must go away.
Here's what you can try:
1. Join the family group again.
2. Ask the 'parent' to remove your account from supervision. My guess is you have stopped supervision from the child account. So try stopping it using the parent account.

Did you connect it to your PC when going into recovery menu?
I tried this a lot of times on my son's android device. This is the one thing I did especially I messed up the settings on my Family Link.
