Where can i find windows 10 for our nexus ?

Hi everyone , i read in miui web site that windows 10 will available for mi4 , but any news for porting the rom ?
Here find the video for testing in the mi4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTTTFV38G_Q
Nope. Xiaomi is partnering with Microsoft, because of that, Mi phones (mostly newer generations one such as the Mi4) will be getting the Windows 10 builds.
But no, Nexus won't get it (maybe, we don't know this yet). Because Windows is closed source (unlinke Ubuntu Touch or Firefox OS) and it doesn't rely on any Android's component to do stuff.
I think it would be a hardware based windows 10 for mi phone.
So no nexus.
I don't discard W10 on Nexus. MS is just testing waters on a ROM for Android phones. Part of their new strategy is to make windows available in as much devices as possible. If it goes well with the Mi4, that is, a relevant percentage of Mi4 users install it, they might want to replicate with other phones and N5 is a good candidate. W10 Mobile is just beta and it might take a while.

Android Oreo (Go Edition) + Motorola Droid 4 XT894 = ?

Greetings, fellow devs and fans. Hope that you are doing fine. I do hope that this would be the right place to ask anything, including what I have in mind right now.
I may have been ditching Android as my daily driver for Windows 10 Mobile for like two years now, but that didn't stop me from keeping tabs with the latest news about Google's mobile OS, and the latest news about the Go Edition of Android 8.0 Oreo do catch my attention. I would definitely love to see how Android Oreo Go stacks up against my current favourite mobile OS from Microsoft.
But that's not what I wanna talk about. I actually wanna talk about Motorola Droid 4 XT894 aka "maserati". I've been yearning to own what is undoubtedly the last ever Android - indeed, the last EVER smartphone with horizontal QWERTY keyboard. But that got me thinking: Since Android Oreo Go only needs 1GB of RAM and "maserati" is indeed only have 1GB of RAM, I wonder if there is(are) a way(s) of porting that particular Android into that Motorola?
Don't get me wrong - I'm not asking for tutorials or suggestions about steps on doing it, because I don't even know if someone else is thinking similar line as me. But who knows... in the future... maybe it is possible after all?
That's all for me. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I would even be happy if the "normal" OREO 8.1 (Lineage 15.1) was released some day.
But here are some sad but unconfirmed news: https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-4/development/rom-cm14-1-nougat-t3499338/page22#post76220740
Maybe you could ask the developer "stargo" https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3457922 directly if he will publish an Oreo (Go) version for the XT894 maserati

Huawei Share, OneHop on Oneplus 7 Pro

Hey, I recently purchased a Huawei matebook 14, and I got curios into its build in Huawei share function, OneHop.
Here is a YouTube video that demonstrate it
watch?v=zMu9CsHBqPk
As far my knowledges goes, it works using NFC, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth.
So I was wondering if I could install some software on my phone, and make it work on a non Huawei device. I am currently using oneplus 7 pro, running with Oxsygen OS 10.0.7.GM2 1 BA. The newest android version available to this date on my device.
I have searched around the web a little, but did not get any wiser on the subject.
I would higly appreciated if someone could share their knowledges with me.

You probably can't install it as-is on the OP7 Pro. You will probably have to port/modify the app to work properly on OP7 Pro. You will have to do your own research and your own work to learn how to modify it yourself.

How risky is using Android 10 security wise?

Hey guys,
I'm just wondering how unsafe it is for security if running Android 10 these days? I know A11 would have higher security but I like the stableness of A10. I may update to A11 if its a lot better in security.
Thanks
You kidding?
I'm running Android 9 and unless you do something stupid it's near bulletproof in actual use. My current OS load is 1.5 years old, still fast and stable. Never a forced reload due to malware.
Q is not bad, maybe a little faster but more restrictive (not in a good way) than Pie.
I have 2 N10+'s, one running on 9, one on 10.
The highest I'll upgrade is 10 as both run very well.
11 is a dog. A puny, yappy runt poodle of an OS.
It will be a horror show compared to 10... but you can do what want.
Just dump 11 and 12 down on highway 61...

Question I want to buy the Pixel 7 Pro, but my old DVR software doesn't work on new android

I bought my wife a Pixel 7. It's been great. I'd really like to upgrade from my Pixel 3XL to the Pixel 7 Pro, but I have multiple CCTV DVR's that I login to on old Android ROM's that I'd like to still be able to login to. The software is iMon2 and Hybix. Neither of which are supported on the latest Android OS. Last year, I tried installing the latest version of Android in the Pixel 3XL and then using TitaniumBackup to install the two DVR apps. iMon2 was so old, that I couldn't get it working on the latest version of Android then. So I'm confident it won't work on the latest version of Android now. I'm not sure about Hybix at this point. Are there any virtual ROM's like PC's have, where I could load Android 8 from within the latest version of Android, to run my DVR software? If not, any other ideas for getting it to work?
Why not just keep both phones? The old one for your dvr apps and the new one as your daily driver
The P7P doesn't run 32bit apps. If the DVR app doesn't support 64bit architecture, then it might be tough to get it to work. If you plan on rooting the phone, one of the developers here made a magisk module to bring back the ability to run 32bit apps. I haven't tried it, but it seems to be helping others: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tutorial-magisk-enabling-32-bit-support-for-apps.4521029/unread
This DVR app might not be running for some other reason though. I don't know.
Is it that its a 32 bit application or is android 13 not supported?
If it's that it's a 32 bit application then either the magisk module posted already is an option or a custom rom like Corvus is an option as that allows 32 bit installations
I guess someone has to be the first abandoning the 32 bit era permanently and I'm OK with that.
It did cost me and additional 1500 euros to replace my old amp as the app needed to us it is not being ported to 64 bit. So switching to the p7/p can be an expensive affair if you can't or don't want to root and install the necessary framework....
I would bite the bullet and get a Pixel. Its only a, very short, matter of time when all Android phones will be 64bit only. Google advised app devs a while ago to update their apps to 64bit due to upcoming requirements.
dvrs are cheap and don't last long anyway.
time to upgrade those IMO . and get some more reliable brand. like hikvision, dahua etc
