Glad that you like it We will do all the possible to solve these bugs.
Hi, really excited to see this here - but I'm getting error on installation of the lineage zip:
In TWRP: "Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or a factory reset. Updater process ended with ERROR 7"
Any ideas?
You have to factory reset and wipe system

Looks good so far. Am having some problems Android versions of Amazon apps. Their shopping app does not get past the splash screen and logging into the Amazon Appstore fails with error code '10'.
Presumably the lack of audio and video is a work in progress?

- No worries, not sure if camera support is possible without binaries from amazon
- Will know more once I look into it in the coming week or two
Awesome cant wait to flash this.
Drivers always seem to be the big challenge with custom ROMs. :silly:
Nevertheless, well done! It's really impressive how many Amazon devices you do development for.
Can't wait to see how Doze will help with standby time of these tablets.

- I have identified changes in the kernel required for Doze, definitely interested in this too
- Once everything is a bit more stable I'll branch the kernel for a mild overclock too

ROM stuck at animation boot?
this because you must change the file system from F2FS to EXT4 to done boot process
* reboot to TWRP.
* go to Wipe -> Advanced Wipe.
* check Data -> Change file system -> select EXT4.
* swipe the screen to wipe it .
How can I fix Sim?
* go to Settings -> Extras -> disable "Sim Card Slot2 " and reboot.
How can I enable Google Codecs
* go to Settings -> Extras -> enable "Use Google H264" (it's a bit laggy but better than nothing).
How to enable Double Touch To Wake?
* go to Settings -> Extras -> enable "Double Touch to Wake"
Should I reflash the vendor partition if come from other roms?
* if you coming from Emui 5.x, the answer is no because the custom rom are based on Emui 5.0 source code, so all you
have to is flashing your favorite custom rom
Audio and camera are not working?
* bring up a logcat to help us, instead of writing useless comments.
I got error 7, how can I fix that?
* use my own TWRP recovery. or you can simply remove the whole assert line in the updater-script file inside the META-INF folder save and re-flash.
How can I fix RIL Crashes
flash root.
Copy the phone.prop into /system/vendor and /vendor.
reboot, now you should able to do calls for more than 2 minuts
Calls still crash even with fix SIM
Run adb shell and type the following command xxd /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id .
the result will be something like the following out ( for single sim devices):
1|hi6250:/ $ xxd /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/hisi,modem_id
00000000: xxxx x000 ;xx.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Search for your xxxxx000, and setup the following flags .
ro.config.client_number=1
ro.config.modem_number=1
persist.dsds.enabled=false
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds (remove it properly)
for dual sim devices just edit these 2 flags:
ro.config.client_number=1
ro.config.modem_number=1
Save and reboot.

No, this bug will take time, because the actual drivers are used for Honor 6x proprietary blobs, for camera we must use the blobs from our phone and it is not easy to recognize them.
all users must read the original post before post comments

hey bro...there is another dev in the honor 8 lite section (pra-la1) who had the camera fixed on his ROM...the ROM uses the stock and unmodified vendor...i tested the ROMs and they were cool...but there was some lags in the app animations

Give me the link to apply the patch here too, could be better if we use our vendor since I'm make roms for pra-lx1 only if work I could release the camera fix with omni 7.0
Fantastic! It's really nice seeing that someone really puts his work into this device too

camera is fully works on my pra-lx1, I will release fixed build of both slim and los-14.1 because I'm rework the device tree from scratch in that way users can flash roms without flashing the vendor.img
OH MAN, Finally i see more roms for this device, finally! i hope this one does not have the annoying reboot bug like the lineageos one
EDIT: AWESOME! i can reboot my phone without the annoying bootloop bug, but the phone signal is a little unstable, if you can fix that i can use this phone for daily use
And THX for your awesome job on this device

@haky 86 make p8 lite 17 modding great again !

I just left windows phone (with a lot of sadness) and my return to android is with this P8 Lite

Kindly keep discussion On Topic.

I will fix this issue on next update for this rom too, for camera we should wait, I'm working on 2 projects at same time los-14.1 and aosp oreo
Please allow me to ask you ... when you were using Haky's lieage do you get stuck on "your phone is rebooting now" because I can not bypass that screen.
And when I use this Slimrom, fingerprint and CAM are not working.

A lot.
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
What's working:
Note: Every important feature should work properly.
・ Boot
・ Wifi
・ Bluetooth
・ Camera (Photos & Videos)
・ Audio
・ Sensors
・ GPS
・ RIL
・ Adaptive Brightness
What's not working:
Note: You are going to tell me that!
Instructions:
・ Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you have TWRP installed properly.
・ Download the latest build from the second post and the gapps.
・ Boot to TWRP and perform a full wipe.
・ Flash the latest build and gapps.
・ Reboot to system.
・ Enjoy and hit Thanks Button of this Thread.
If you are unable to boot the ROM, read the instructions again and don't come cry here, you will be ignored!

Somehow - I must highlight it is my personal impression - somehow that the colours are better on your ROM. Some greens and blues that on lineage based ROMs appear slightly dull, they seem a little clearer and more saturated. Or would you say that is a wrong impression?

For me
Awesome, installing now!
I seem to bootloop installing gapps.... arm 9.0 pico...
Getting past the bluetooth errors - keeps stopping seems impossible. I can't seem to force stop or anything to prevent the error from popping up over and over.

Try to do adb shell pm disable com.android.bluetooth if you don't have magisk installed

I've been running LOS 16 builds from source for the past week with great success. If you are aware of the issues in the second post and those do not affect your usage, I would say to try this out. I've also been using Resurrection Remix from source successfully (as Kaijones knows), but we should hold off on posting a build of that until the vendor and kernel issues are resolved.
Also @Kaijones23 You can install Magisk initially, you just need to do adb shell, su, and then press Grant on the device. That's how I've been doing it. I'm pretty busy tonight but tomorrow night I'll have a go at bluetooth from source and I'll try out some of the Onn blobs too.
Wow, looks super good, did anyone try Magisk 20.0 zip? Will it work?

Magisk modules can be installed by magisk manager but the magisk update must be updated through TWRP to avoid bootloops because boot image will be patched by amonet
Ok, there's a problem, flashing gapps causes bootloop, on first boot it takes much longer to boot up, and then reboots to recovery, seen many posts about that, and it can be a problem of October gapps, will try something else now

Nice, is a flash possible from your last 16.0-20191025 release, without data loss?
....ok just tried it, it works just fine. Simply flashed current firmware; system / vendor / cache deleted; flashed ROM; flashed GAPPS. ...Reboot
Good job
just flashed and booted with no problem
the thing I like best about this ROM is that we can use both the gesture pill and the hardware buttons at the same time
still some minor lag when opening apps, open recent app menu and switching between apps
other than that, the ROM is great
thanks for your work.. flash it and everything looks great.. but when i make a call, i got the speacker set "on" and can't disable.. try others dialers with the same result.
ROM goes great. But is there any way to turn off the navigation buttons?
Please help Bluetooth isn't working right for me. I can connect to my devices, but the music keeps playing through the phone speaker. What can I do?

It shouldn't work by default.
1. Open File Manager in TWRP, go to: /adb/modules/Viper4AndroidFX
2. Delete file post-fs-data.sh

Some people are trying to patch Goodix library (it's closed source so it needs low-level hex code changes, which is difficult and time consuming), you can check their progress here https://github.com/Roker2/fingerprint.goodix.so
So yea, something is happening, but it's hard to say if and when will it work.
Thank you Aryan Kedare for this beautiful rom.
I have noticed 4 bugs; partially mentioned here:
1. on phone call; audio plays through speaker, cannot be disabled
2. on bluetooth connection; audio plays through phone, both music and phone calls cannot connect to the bluetooth device
3. on whatsapp; voice message recorded on the phone is empty
4. software buttons cannot be disabled, only lowered to 'gesture'. But maybe this is an android 10 'feature', not a bug.
Probably all bugs are related somehow. If you need logcat, let me know.

So yea, something is happening, but it's hard to say if and when will it work.

Based on my test, don't use the stable Magisk version. Use the Canary instead. I used the latest 24.0 Canary version and both Viper and EdXposed works well. I don't know why, but the bootloop seems only appeared when we use the stable version.
