For me
Awesome, installing now!
I seem to bootloop installing gapps.... arm 9.0 pico...
Getting past the bluetooth errors - keeps stopping seems impossible. I can't seem to force stop or anything to prevent the error from popping up over and over.

Try to do adb shell pm disable com.android.bluetooth if you don't have magisk installed

I've been running LOS 16 builds from source for the past week with great success. If you are aware of the issues in the second post and those do not affect your usage, I would say to try this out. I've also been using Resurrection Remix from source successfully (as Kaijones knows), but we should hold off on posting a build of that until the vendor and kernel issues are resolved.
Also @Kaijones23 You can install Magisk initially, you just need to do adb shell, su, and then press Grant on the device. That's how I've been doing it. I'm pretty busy tonight but tomorrow night I'll have a go at bluetooth from source and I'll try out some of the Onn blobs too.
Wow, looks super good, did anyone try Magisk 20.0 zip? Will it work?

Magisk modules can be installed by magisk manager but the magisk update must be updated through TWRP to avoid bootloops because boot image will be patched by amonet
Ok, there's a problem, flashing gapps causes bootloop, on first boot it takes much longer to boot up, and then reboots to recovery, seen many posts about that, and it can be a problem of October gapps, will try something else now

Try to flash gapps and if you have Windows computer try to do adb logcat > logcat.txt but if you don't have it installed use this. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

Introduction
This is the continuation of my previous work for the 8.1 Oreo OpenGApps builds (old thread can be found here)
This project was created to fill the void for every custom 9.0 ROM out there as there were no official builds yet (until 6th of September).
These builds were just a compilation from the official OpenGApps Github source for the Android 9.0 for ARM/ARM64 devices with some added fixes.
Check changelog in the 2nd post to see them.
If you want, you can join the Telegram group for GApps discussion and small talks, I'll chime in sometimes as well - https://t.me/opengapps_discussion

Oh wow, thanks! This might just be the right fix for the AOSP Android Pie released by Abishek987. Among the issues were caused by incompatible Gapps. How different is this from an 8.1 Gapps with the installer modified to install on 9.0?
I tested Stock on AOSP for mido, and i cannot add Google account because when trying to add account give me a black screen instead of sign in page.
Flashed after booting ROM because Setup Wizard keep FC if i flash it in first boot
Could I flash a different gapps package over the other or will it crash?

Yes, Treble AOSP and LineageOS 16 stuck on boot on Xiaomi Mi 5s. Apparently there are no compatible GApps yet.

I was also facing the same issue. I removed Pixel Setup wizard itself. It fixed the issue.
Steps:
i). Go to TWRP recovery.
ii). Mount system partition.
iii). Goto /system/priv-app/SetupWizard folder in "File Manager".
iv). Delete this folder.( You may backup this folder somewhere).
And run the commands mentioned in below post to trick the phone to finish the setup.

Hi, really excited to see this here - but I'm getting error on installation of the lineage zip:

Presumably the lack of audio and video is a work in progress?

If you do not see Magisk Manager, this does not mean that it is not installed. Install magisk manager apk manually.
For gapps you can try gapps-config from LOS 14.1 thread (I don't test, if it will work, pls write about this)

Could you please add sign spoofing for microg?
I notify a bug(maybe) when adb is active, usb isnt recognized, i can connect only through adb IP. MTP seems to not work anyway. Some time UI freeze, i will do some logcat

1. I applied patch, see this in next build
2. I know about this bug (or not bug), I think It's from Lineage source side
3. You can try to use GPU Rendering option in developer settings
The current MindTheGapps package works with the 9/29 build.

Play Store is constantly force closing so far for me.

Does this have the Pie controls from some other roms?
How stable is this with apps? Sometimes my crDroid 7.1.2 crashes when I try to bring up my keyboard and it crashes my Joey(reddit) app every now and then.

Hopefully what you're looking for is on Aptoide, it's what I've been using on my Nexus 7 to avoid that Playstore mess.

Confirmed. Big thanks for this message!
Tested with MindTheGapps all works fine !!!
But for dolby atmos oreo no success for moment
10/01 build is running okay. The one thing this ROM needs is some kind of overclock kernel as the ROM does run kind of sluggish right now even with certain settings tweaked (ie: GPU 2D rendering in dev settings on).

Security updates
Hi to all,
Just want to say that update the security patches here will be a bit tricky and will probably need more time since they need to be backported.
Cheers!
@Rortiz2 I just wanted to say how grateful I am for all your work. Thank you so much for this, one of my favorite ROMs.
Thanks for your work! Can anyone say how this performs compared to the LineageOS ROM?

They're almost the same. The principal difference is that this one is more customizable.
Cheers!
EDIT: Also video recording is working on this one

One thing I noticed is that the long wait before starting Google Store download reduced a lot, now less than 30 seconds. This might be due to the version of gapps, but very comfortable for me.

So I'm assuming no need to flash Magisk with this ROM for root? Or is that missing in the steps by accident?

No,
SuperSU is included in the ROM. You can flash Magisk aswell, which will uninstall SuperSU.
I forgot to add it in first post
Cheers!

It looks like there's a older version of SuperSU installed by default.
If you go to Settings, and scroll down to "System", there's a "SuperSU" button.

I usually watch youtube gaming at 720p60fps, lineage 14.1 work very well, but lineage 15, 16 ,17 sometime very lag!
Kaijones23 is a good man!
But there is a person who always sees this error as a joke, be careful with him!

Please ignore the lags on this rom since its an testing build and will improve if i find the solution for these issues.
the codecs are being used by software, not hardware since there was an issue with the decoding with the hardware codecs on HVEC.

This is awesome! Thanks for your hard work on these ROMs, @Kaijones23!
I was able to get it installed successfully with latest G-Apps Micro. I haven't had a chance to test everything, but running well so far.
System-wide dark mode rules!
everything works well so far except the bluetooth headphones. It detects and connects and i set the output to BT but the sound still comes out on the device's speaker and not on Bt headphones. Also it boots slowly on that amazon logo part.
Thanks Again.
