I tried that for 1st time on WhatsApp & then I noticed some battery drain. I uninstalled the cloned app, but in Apps, I still see cloned apps created automatically by the service such as Android system webview & Google play services with no uninstall/disable buttons.
Is there a way to get rid of these please?

hello has anyone heard of a solution for this issue or if one was already provided in this comment's original thread, can a lick be provided for it? i think I'm having the same issue from the context of this comment. Maybe the only difference is that my phone is not rooted which im sure will end up being a factor in whether there is anyway to resolve this or not. samsung galaxy j7 pro j7271 wth it has too many names out there lol. meteopcs 2017 variant if that helps. nonrooted 8.1 and trying to stay that way if possible as this is my only phone. thanks for your time!

Try clearing data of Dual Messenger in Settings - Apps & then disable/freeze it. I don't remember how I fixed it but since I'm using custom roms, I think I wiped data in twrp after backing up me apps & reinstalling the rom.
On stock rom if disabling the app doesn't work, u may have to reset.

Thanks! For some reason, I'm cannot disable it. I'll give resetting a try and post back whether that works or not. I had considered resetting, but was being stubborn trying to figure out another way.
Success Uninstalling Shadow Services
I have a Samsung S8 and was facing the same issue when I searched for "Uninstall Dual Messenger" and found this thread. I resolved the issue and decided to return here and say what I did to get them all uninstalled. I didn't have a "Secure Folder" also, I already opened the "Dual Messenger" setting and disabled the available options. The missing step for me was to go to Apps > ANT+ and click Force Stop and Disable. I had already uninstalled "Copy Of Messenger" when I discovered that it doesn't remove the copy of play services and everything else. Removing the ANT+ App removed about five or six "Copy Of.." Apps as well. I hope this is enlightening. After removing all of your Dual Apps, Copy Of.. Apps & Secure Folder, Remove the ANT+ App. On Galaxy S8 With The Latest Updates As Of 6/9/20 I alas successfully removed the remnant shadow service copies that were associated with Dual Messenger.

I have a (4GB) Tronsmart TS7 (some times known as a Alps Glacier TS7). It's a Chinese MTK6589 based phone running Android 4.2 purchased from geekbuying.
For the most part the device is stock, there are next to no pre-installed apps apart from the usual, and the only additional apps I have installed are: Playstation, Steam, ColorNote, Shuttle+, Root Explorer DI Radio, Chrome & Gmail
The problem I have is that there are apps appearing on the device that I am not installing. So far it has been the same set of apps that appear:
Mobo Market
UC Browser
TrustGo Security
DU Battery Saver
337 Game Master
GameCenter
(there may be more)
These apps don't start appearing right after a factory reset, but start to arrive 1-2weeks later. They also seem to be packaged similarly; when I say packaged I mean opening them seems to prompt with the same menu & style (accept licence etc) before it gets to the main app. Also, after you open the app from the app drawer it then creates an icon on the desktop. Maybe opening it actually does the installing?
The apps themselves seem to be legit.
I have factory reset the device (twice), and changed my Google password but they are still appearing. They don't show up in my Play store history so they must be coming from elsewhere.
My main concern is that if it is downloading things without my permission, what might it be uploading ? Not to mention wasting my 3g data etc.
So I have a few questions:
Should I be (really) worried?
Is there a way to monitor this? eg connect to a wifi hotspot and packet capture the network traffic? or maybe use a process monitor (the ones I've tried so far haven't shown anything) to see if there is some sort of script in the background?
Can it be stopped?
Thanks in advance, I would be interested to know if anyone else has/had this problem?
I have the same problem.
I haven't tried flashing some other ROM yet, but I guess that is the only way to get it to stop installing those things.
Have you actually found any other roms to install?
For anybody's information:
You may have noticed how you always end up with a 'Tronsmart.mp4' video file appearing in your gallery app. This is damn annoying since it appears twice, once on the internal and once on the external SD card. There is an '\system\app\CopyTest.apk' file which creates both of these. Should be safe to delete it and thus prevent the file(s) appearing
I have actually decompiled this apk. It works as a service that runs when MEDIA_UNMOUNTED or MEDIA_MOUNTED is invoked, and does absolutely nothing else.
I have the same problem, those random apps installing and the video always in my gallery. I have managed to stop tge apps by using a firewall and allowing only my apps that i want to use the internet. I havent found a solution though to fix the problem. Probably tronsmart is spamming its customers...

What Firewall did you use? I might be able to use something like that to pinpoint the app that's causing this.
Sory for the late reply. I am usin "android firewall" free from google play store.
USB debugging disabled stopped it on mine
edit: not that easy, wasn't enough. made some cleanup by disabing/removing some system apps. seems to work so far although there are still some strange events like superuser crashing and right after that system downloader.apk reappearing. haven't seen any other junk coming back
these are the apk's i removed:
systemupdateassistant
systemdownloader
omacp
mtkbt
midtest
galaxy4
fusedlocation
engineermode
engineermodesim
cds_info
basicdreams.

If it do not function for anything, at least not consume RAM.
Not the Webview if you use GApps such as Play Store, etc, Facebook yes if unused
Disappointed in Sony for including com.facebook.appmanager and com.facebook.system as uninstallable components. My Z5 came with the Facebook app already installed (Customized DE firmware). I never even ran the app (I don't do facebook) - uninstalled it the second I spotted it but these two processes remain and can only be disabled, not uninstalled.
Feck off Facebook!
I deleted webview once on my old Z1, system became unresponsive.

Tks !!!
I keep a real clean phone. I don't use FB either and have it disabled. But I discovered this file or application and as fast as I would shut down and delete cache and data it would reload itself. This action alone made me suspicious of it and I wanted it off my phone or at the very least disabled. On another forum it was recommended to install "Package Disabler Pro" at a cost of $.99 and I tried it. In the notes and warnings you have to use this carefully least you make the phone unusable but I "disable" these two persistant "Facebook" files and they have not come back. My phone works fine too. Then I went after the damn Sprint/Samsung installed voicemail program that keeps wanting you to upgrade and then it had a persistant flag that kept coming up saying "We had forced upgrades too but this one is necessary". I said no to that too and with this program finally have turned it OFF.
Hope this helps.

To completely disable them ("temporary" uninstallation) use Debloater http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
or learn how to use the
Code:
pm hide
command
As suggested, i would not disable Android Webview.
Always do a BACKUP of your personal files before disabling system apps : if you are not rooted and disable the wrong package, you'll get in bootloop and will have to reset the phone.

Lisa stop making jokes please XD
In Settings>Apps...I now have 2 Chromes, 2 Google Play Services, and 2 Settings apps. Each duplicate app has the Dual account symbol attached...which I thought only applied to messaging service apps that Samsung Galaxy S8+ allowed you to create a secondary account for. I'm quite certain this problem was caused by me installing Pixel Launcher...though not 100% certain. I have since uninstall that launcher and the apps remain. I have cleared the cache and data, force stopped and disabled the extra apps...but I can not uninstall. Chrome and google services still function as normal as far I can tell.
MY QUESTION IS: Has anyone else experienced this, and what can be done to rid my phone of these unnecessary extra/dual apps?!? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
(I have attached a pic.)
Same here
Did you go to Settings > Advanced functions > Dual messenger and to disable it for every application ?
Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a way to turn it off once you have turned it on in the first place. What a load of **** trickery that Samsung has done with this one -_-
Read here for details...
Scroll to the bottom to see their message about the ability to remove the feature...
Am seeing this tab in settings, what apk do I need to debloat to remove this? I've been through my apps list but dont see anything obvious, thanks
I don't have that option. Do you see it Samsung members app?
See grab, no its towards the bottom in Settings menu.
don't have that setting but going via help file it offers to install it via Smart Tutor for Samsung Galaxy app
Thanks, just want to get rid of that tab, any idea how?
do you have that app? uninstall it if yes
Have uninstalled smart tutor but the Remote Support tab remains in settings list. Guess there's no way to get rid of it?
restart the phone?
Still there after restart, was hoping there was an app I could disable etc to remove the heading from settings menu, guess not.
I would be glad to remove it as well, I suddenly got it appearing after the last update on my A52 5G.
Any new idea how to get away with this option in Settings?
A bit late to this post, but the solution is to install the Samsung Tips app which removes the "manual" and "remote support" options inside the Settings app and replaces it with a single "Tips" entry: https://galaxystore.samsung.com/pre...session_id=W_03bb1f02be95e1f7c89bf2450f16277d
You can remove both by having Tips installed and disabling it (not removing it) via "pm disable com.samsung.android.app.tips"

This doesn't work on the S21 latest software, CVDC. It will disable Tips, but the Remote Support option will no longer be removed.

On my S22+, I already have the latest version installed by default and tried to disable it via PDP app, but it tells me that some critical app can't be disabled.
It's a system app which isn't directly labeled remote support. You will have to use an application inspector to view all system apps then have to narrow down which app it is. I had to do this to remove the Samsung Account in settings, bixby vision, bixby page, software update installer & more.
Make sure you make an apk backup of the system app before you uninstall it incase you mess up your phone or make a setting inacessible that you needed. You can restore the apps by reinstalling them from the apk you backed up with a tap or use adb to install the app.
If you happen to find out which package name it is please reply with the name as I am trying to figure out which one it is on my phone as well. I imagine its one of the ones that begin with com.samsung.android good luck on the hunt & don't forget to let everyone know once you find out.

There are a few supporting apps, but I don't know them off the top of my head. The ones I was able to find (in lists of bloatware, ironically) are:
com.sec.android.app.shealth
com.sec.android.sdk.health
com.sec.android.service.health
And just to put it out there in case it should matter, there is no such thing as system cache in modern Android. Just in case that is suggested at some point.
i just check the list and none of those 3 are delated/disable this is so frustrating.
What apps did you disable
i use an app i found here on XDA called ADB-AppControl under the Disabled section the only samsung stuff i have listed is S-Launcher-Link Sharing-Samsung Internet-Samsung Members-Samsung Notes. none that would make S-Health not to work. under the Deleted tab i have a few stuff so i will post photos.
So you killed off all the Knox stuff? That may have done it. Samsung Health is one of those "not if rooted or unlocked" apps. That may be breaking their detection code.

I would try uninstalling, rebooting, and installing after that just to be sure. It's only a guess, but I know Samsung Health is like the banking apps.

Sadly still not working been 31 days since I got the phone and haven't been able to figure out the cause. Funny thing is that health app works on my watch classic 4 it tracks pretty much everything but if I want to see more information or just open the app on my phone that's when I can't access it.

I know this is an old topic, but I found the answer and thought I would try to help...
@Zirox,
The debloat that you did on your phone disabled a needed app/service for Samsung Health to login. The item in question is called:
KLMS Agent (com.samsung.klmsagent) - it's on your 4th screenshot
If that has been disabled, it needs to be re-enabled for Samsung Health to work, otherwise you'll end up getting various errors and it won't get past the first screens.
I had the issue where SH would not get past the first screen, and just kept looping. I tried clearing caches (phone and app), reinstalling, installing old versions, etc, but none of that worked. I checked my brothers' Samsung phone, and his worked fine, so I knew it wasn't a SH server issue. I then went into my debloater app, and tried enabling various packages that I had disabled as part of debloating, and after trying a few items, I came across the KLMS Agent app/service, and finally SH got past the first screen and into the app. Once you re-enable that app/service, SH should work.
Hope this helps you out!

KLMS Agent is like Google Play Services, but for Knox. I guess because it didn't say "Knox" in the name, it was missed. It's basically THE Knox app, though.
