Hi guys. Moto G 2015 has a Snapdragon 410 which support quick charge 2.0 but the smartphone doesn't support that feature. There's any trick to enable it? Thanks

Its an YES.
but it will lower the Battery life if Quickcharging is done .. so better dont do any risks with NON REMOVABLE BATTERY
even though it supports Quickcharge some people say it wont be noticeable ,but some say it charges in lesser time .. but i havent tested any
i am also eager to know the answers of experts :good::highfive: ; hope we get good answers to this post

The SoC supports up to QC 2.0, but the charger IC Moto used doesn't.
The max you will get is 800mA.
Cheap Moto could at least used a simple QC 1.0 charger IC compatible up to 1500mA, but no.
You got the cheaper of the cheapest...
So, anything goes?

I recently purchased this device and it arrived with no charger at all, probably removed because it was garbage? I have two chargers that can be used, one is a now several years old HTC One m7 charger which outputs 1A and has QC 1.0
The other is a Google Chromecast 2nd generation LPS supply with 1A and probably not QC 1.0?
Either way, what I have been hearing is that people either get two or four hours+ of waiting in order for it to be charged up. Since both are above 800 mA (assuming this is the true max current) then I wonder if there could be a difference between these two. If there isn't then of course the newer one is safer to use as it has not got the years of wear the HTC One m7 have done to it, but that would cost me quick charge. Buying new brand USB chargers here with ~2A can cost 30 dollars so want to avoid it
Thanks if you ever make a reply. Going to test this out later when I have time to discharge completely.
EDIT: Assuming the cable they included supports their max charging standard, I hope at least... I know some cables aren't up to specifications but they couldn't have given me a bad cable that's too much.

Doesn't matter hoe much your charger can put out, the device chargng IC will only drawb800mA max.

Ah, I see, so QC 1.0 is just another word for max 800 mA and there is no "chargers" with this feature? Thanks for clarifying.
Old thread I know, but I'd like to share that, depending on cable and charger, my moto G3 charges at almost 1A (970 mah) when its battery is under 60%. Then from 60% on it charges at roughly 700 mah. Moto G3 2015 (X1540), ROM Resurrection remix 5.7.4 (MM 6.0.1), kernel squid r22, charger Asus 2.5 A, cable Asus also.

You can't go wrong with Anker for quality: http://stores.ebay.com/AnkerDirect
I love my Aukey 16000mAh with Quick Charging. It also ships to Australia from AliExpress.

I just bought the Anker PowerCore 10400. It charges my s6 from 5% to 100% slightly more than 3 times.
It does not have fast charging (9V @ 1.67Amps) but it charges my s6 really quick (around the same time as when i charge it from the wall adapter) . Overall I am very satisfied with this power bank. Go for it!
Hi, Xiaomi 10000mha Power Bank have fast charging and is very good, buy from gearbest there http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_187685.html?wid=21

All of my friends are using Ankers. They're all pleased with the result. I was not so much in need for more than 3000mah so I went with a power case. You can also consider that option
So as we know that now our phone supports QC 2.0 on custom ROMs(yay! if you didn't know that)
Now I was searching around for a good charger and I found a good Aukey charger on Amazon IN for about 671 rs(10$)
But upon searching on aliexpress, I found this one. Its really cheap and the reviews are good as well, so any idea about it?
If this is good then I can save a lot of money as its just 4$

As far as I know, all ROMs based on official CM sources like Krexus, DU, Balika's CM, Zephyr-OS etc.
I just ordered Blitzwolf QC 3.0 charger from banggood. I'll check and confirm, once it arrives here. Thanks.

I ordered AUKEY QuickCharge 2.0 certified by Qualcomm.. It might take a while until I get it but I'll report how it works on a custom ROM.

The Redmi Note 3 does not support USB 3.0 so literally any USB cable will do as long as it is safe. It is your decision which one to buy based on the build quality of the cable (as in how quickly it will break).

CM 13 official. 9V 1,2A on off phone.
Qualcomm takes extra bucks to enable the quick charge capability. Though SD 650 supports quick-charge but Xiaomi squeezed those extra bucks to cut off the price. Even its same with Moto G3 (osprey). Even if you use quick charger, it would charge in the same speed. (Also showed in Ranjit's video)
Use Mi4i Changer insteed of using any other charger,it will boost your charging speed.

Well, not everyone got Mi4i charger :/
I've got a Aukey quick charge 3 and when I used it the phone LED flashed all the time so I stopped using it just in case it's doing any damage to the battery. It does say that it's backwardly compatible with qc1 and qc2 I'm using blaze kernel.
How determine if mine have quickcharge or not on RN3? I have flash Resurrection Remix rom + ElementalX kernel and when I charge my phone from 15% to 100%, it take about 2hours 10minute. Does this count as quickcharge? Before flashing custom rom, in MIUI, when I charge my phone, I get about the same duration. Just wondering....
Hi There,
Thinking of picking up the Honor 8 while I travel to the States. Just wanted to ask someone to clear up my confusion. So basically my question is:
Is the Honor 8 compatible with any Quick Charger ?
I know that most people have been saying that only the provided wall charger will quick charge the Honor 8 but , please excuse my ignorance/lack of knowledge here, if the provided charger is 9V/2A/18W , wouldn't a generic charger with those specs quick charge it as well ?
Also does the USB Type-C cable come into play with regards to the charging speed.
Thanks for any help. Just want to know because I'd like to have piece of mind that if I lose/break the provided wall charger I could buy another without paying the price of an Honor-Branded one.
Thanks

In Theory, regardings power supplies you're right.
The problem is more advanced: The charger provides 5V, (maybe even limited to 500mA) until the device handshakes successfully with the charger, and tells "hi there, I'm speaking hisilicon fast charging protocol. Oh, you do too? Great. How is the weather over there? Okay, enough smalltalk, please provide me with 9V, up to 3A, i can handle that without going into a puff of smoke".
The charger then reassures every 100ms or so, that the device connected is still the same... and keeps providing 9V
With a QC based charger, it might go "hi there I'm speaking hisilicon fast charging protocol. Oh sorry, i don't understand QC2.0. I can provide you with this legacy charging protocol". And the charger should recognize that it can provide 5V,2A - which will help, but won't be quite as fast as quick charging...
Lets see when Anker or some other company bring out a dual-lingual charger...
You should go with huawei's charger.

Thank you for your question regarding the Honor 8 and it's capabilities with quick charging. Your phone comes with a 9 V 2 A high voltage quick charger. It also supports 5 V 2 A chargers. Make sure you buy an official Huawei 9 V 2 A charger; unofficial quick chargers will not work properly. If you need a quick charger, you can buy one from Huawei Vmall or official Huawei experience shops. NOTE: The FRD-L02 shipped to the Indian market comes with a 5 V 2 A charger. (NS)
