And yet, going to the Samsung site is fruitless. Not selling what he is looking for as of 1 minute ago.

samsung sales reps are as clueless as most retail store reps. you can probably find better info by searching the net.
this should work....

-nevermind, its not the same.
The fast charger has dual voltage output. One of the outputs is 9v. I'm fairly sure this is the fast charge element.
Doesn't matter how high the mA rating is for the 5v chargers they will not trigger the fast charge process.
I'm gonna keep looking and post here when I find something!
Scroll to the bottom of this page and there are links to the Quick Charge 2.0 adapter manufacturers.

Step 1 - look at the charger that came with your Note 4. If you don't have one, ask someone who does.
Step 2 - locate part number printed on the charger.
Step 3 - Google said part number.

Absolutely not. This is just a regular charger. Rapid charging is not the same thing as adaptive fast charging. Rapid charging is just a function of the 2amp output, vs 0.5amp on old school usb chargers. Rapid charging is 4+ years old technology, and is the standard charger you find almost everywhere.
Ah this really sucks, i had one nicked a few days ago in a hostel in Romania, i will settle for unoffical if anyone has found one?
I think these are both on backorder until November 4th, but it gives you a place to start.

These should be compatible with Samsung's adaptive quick charging and are Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compatible.

Register your Phone with Samsung.. they will send you a 50% off coupon. Use this to buy as many OEM batteries as you wish.. $20 is cheap for factory battery.
EDIT. Sry I was speaking about the battery rather than the charging cable. But you should also be able to gr the cable from Samsung as well with the coupon code
Are we able to use the Note 4 charger on other things like Bluetooth and such?
Wondering if it would damage them from charging too fast if it does.
I found this Quick Charger from Nillkin and it claims that it could "automatically identify and fast charge with high compatibility". It seems cheaper than other quick chargers like the Motorola one
Can anyone confirm this? Does it work with Quick Charge 2.0 on the M9?
Link to the charger website:

I'm also checking this one,in the past someone have review that nillkin charger will get over-heat and have no idea if they have solved this problem.

Well bad news, this charger does NOT support Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, it's faster than the one that came out of the M9 box though.
If you're interested in buying Qualcomm quick chargers like me, you should check and buy the ones which has been certified by Qualcomm themselves.

Well, how long will it take for a charging circle? and will the fast charging do some harm on my device ? Do you know where could I read a verified review ? Thanks!

The Nillkin one I believe saves only 20-30 minutes of charging time compared to the one that came out of the box.
The phone does get warm when it's quick charging, I don't know if it would do any harm after a long period but so far I don't notice anything that is harmful
You can go to amazon and search for some quick chargers, they usually have the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 logo on them.
Google product engineer +BensonLeung has tested several cables, and the vast majority of them fail to meet the Type C specification, some even dangerously drawing too much power.
Interesting to note that the hugely popular Orzly cables fail his tests.
can't even trust the word "certified by **** company" on the products anymore. that's why you just can't ignore product reviewers.
Haha, I was just coming to post this myself. Its good we have people looking out for this sort of thing. Stuff like this always pops up in the early phases of new tech or standard roll outs. Remember all the faulty knock off lightning cables for apple stuff when that first launched?
Potentially bad news for those of us with the One+ cables though;
+Rajesh Handa , +Guille Laca, +Jared Valles, +Steven Lefkoff, unfortunately I have bad news about the One+ cables. The One+ cables, despite ostensibly being from a 1st party phone maker, are out of spec. They use an incorrect 3A configuration as well.
I haven't reviewed them on Amazon because they aren't for sale there directly from One+

Yes, this is incredibly annoying. I have recently bought two of them, specifically because I didn't want to buy from some random Amazon seller.
I've just emailed One+'s customer service to get their comment on it, and request a full refund.

It sucks he has not recommended any chargers or USB-C to USB-C cables. The only cables he has reviewed are USB A to USB-C and it is my understanding that these will not quick charge the device anyhow.
I have started a Google Sheet to track USB Type C cables and accessories. I have also enhanced to include N5X and N6P products. Check it out!

Not to change gears but I topped my 6p off yesterday before first boot up and let it and my htc m8 both drain completely, them plugged 6p to packaged charger and my m8 to a nexus 6 fast charger and a 6-ft micro usb I bought fro at&t and the m8 charged... Much... Faster. Are Google's fast charging claims unfounded or is the N6 charger from Motorola just that fast?
Might repost this in q&a aub, but was wondering how your experience hs been thusfar.

Remember that the M8 has a 2,600 mAh battery and the 6P has a 3,450 mAh battery. The 6P battery is almost 35% larger than the M8, and will require more time to charge. How much charge did the 6P have when the M8 finished charging?

Ditto. I bought 3 and I might keep them for slow charging, like overnight. The price wasn't bad.
That's is a very fair point and good question. If I'm not mistaken between 65-75%. Nothing crazy, but one thing I will say, I play a game that drains the battery very badly, even after I close and even force close the app (love it so much I am willing to live with it) but I drained it all the way back down this morning playing the game and instead of turning it back on and starting the charge from 1% and leaving it on so I can track its progress (after a restart, the game normally doesn't cause any battery drain until I open it again), I left it off to charge, and I came back less than 40 minutes later and the thing was full.. I couldn't believe it so I turned it on and unplugged it and sure enough, 98%. It could be that the game was causing such drain (which is scary because the it never eats battery after a reboot) that it slowed the charging process, but I guess I'll never know for sure.

should we still have to worry about even if we use a basic charger (5v - 2a) to charge our 6P with those generic cables? seems like the google engineer only tested and raised concerned with rapid charging. this might get too far once wireless charging stickers/cases are introduced.

Based on the text in his reviews, it sounds like the risk of damage is to your charger, not your phone. The phone can (obviously) handle a 3A charging speed but a USB A charger most likely cannot.

I was thinking the same thing. I bought 2 sets, just keep them around for data transfer and such as most of my stuff will be attached to google official chargers Type C to Type C. May as well, they are beautiful.

That's all I want to know: can I use these "sketchy" cables with an old Motorola charger that's 5V/1A. I have a bunch of these chargers in various places, and I would just like to have the option to top off. Not to mention my car charger.

Eh I personally wont run the risk of ruining my $500 smartphone by skimping out on $10 for a nicer cable.
Any adapter advice?

Hey everyone! As you all know im always doing reviews on loads of products and have reviewed these cables with the OnePlus 2! Obviously they work perfectly for that as they were built for the OnePlus 2 originally. I did contact them though and they did let me know that as soon as it was brought to there attention they corrected the issue and i actually received the new version of the cable today and i will review it and have the video up tomorrow! For everyone using a OnePlus 2 its nothing to worry about though. The only items that it could affect are things that power at 3A so just keep that in mind before you go throwing out your cables!

Can anyone recommend a car charger that's compatible with the honor 8? I also power a dash cam that doesn't need quick charge. I'd like one that has dual USB ports, one for the dash cam and the other quick charge for the honor 8. Thanks!
Would this work? It sounds like it will do non Qualcomm stuff at 9V/2A. I only needed a single port when I was looking for one so it was easier.
I guess it could work, but that 20-38 days delivery time is putting me off. Nothing on Amazon.com?
I ordered this one. Only had it one day so far. But seems to work well.

That is true as Huawei's quick charge technology if vastly different from Qualcomm's or Samsung's.

Man I could have gotten a Choetech charger (they're "Anker" cables, same factory) and some proper-spec USB-C cables with it, at that price.
Why insist on "official" if it doesn't exist or resellers are asking way too much, do research on alternative brands instead and, save some money.
I bought Huawei Honor Holiday Accessory Gift Box includes selfie stick, fast charge power adapter, USB-C data cable, and USB-C to Micro-USB adapter.
Trying to find one with an Australian plug - it's just not happening ?
