I haven't seen this answered anywhere, and looking at close-up photos, I can't seem to find the proximity sensor ... Anyone know where it is?

The little dot in the top just off to the right hand side is my guess because if I cover that spot the phone will not wake with double tap.

Not sure why it uploaded sideways and small but here it is.
That spot flashes with the screen off when you're looking at it through another camera.

Does anyone else notice tiny light blue dots on their screen when they tilt it at a certain angle?

I don't have this issue either.
Yes i have seen it.
You need to hold it in direct sunlight and at a slight angle. Dont have a clue what it is though.

That sounds like the sensor points (or whatever they're called) for the touchscreen digitizer.
That would make sense.. it never bothers me as you only see it in direct sunlight and at a stupid angle.
I have never seen it during normal use even in bright light.

Yes that is exactly what I was talking about. The sensors make sense actually, never thought of that. Doesn't bother me either, was just wondering if it was only my screen.
Thanks guys!

Thats the proximity sensor and the light sensor. Cover the sensor with your finger, Screen brightness will change if you have auto brightness enabled.

Reflection under glass

Not the oval thing on the top beside the logo, on the actual capacitive screen itself.
I think the dots are just used for the capacitive screen to work. Also, I've noticed that connecting the dots on each line is a horizontal line on each row. I only saw this when putting it next to my lamp thou.

Yes I saw those lines as well! Had to hold it up to a very bright light lol
At the right angle, the reflection from the sun will shot the dots. It's the digitizer, and it looks cool to me. =D
On my Verizon M8 it looks like there is a clear coat or sticker on the flash next to the front facing camera. I tried with my finger nail to scrap it off but doesn't come off like it is a sticker. Looking at the phone though from an angle in the light you can easy see though there is some sort of film cover on the front facing camera flash. Just not sure if that is built in to be like that or i need to take it off?
I don't know what it is either

Not complaining that it looks bad or anything. Can only really see it from an angle and in the light at the right angle. Just not sure if it's suppose to be there or not or have any negative impact on front facing pictures? Not a selfie type of guy anyways so doubt i'll even one use this front face camera, lol! Anyone know a good free app for maybe video calling from this phone to an iphone 5s? What my wife has.

Tried video calling once with my old HTC One X+ to my wife's iPhone 5 with tango i think? Both had full 4g service or at least 3 bars and thing was laggy. I don't know if it's all gimmicks on Apple's commercials on how literally instant and fluid their video calling is? I can't find anything that smooth or clean from HTC device to an iPhone. Probably only thing i would use this front face camera for if there is such an app???
are you referencing the IR sensors? I will be thrown for a loop if that is for flash!
Yeah, I don't think there is a flash on front..If so, loop I'll be thrown into as well.. I will say this thread made me jump into camera to try it lol

Haha, sorry guys! Never used the front camera yet so just figured it was a flash. Had no idea that was an IR sensor. Is it then also the sensor for brightness? Like when on a call and you put phone up to your ear it turns screen off or answers call doing this, sensor for this?

It's either the sensor to know when the phone is at your face, or it's the ambient light sensor.
Either way, I noticed the little overlap on mine as well. It looks to me like the whole screen has a little coating on it, but they couldn't have that over the sensor. But the cutout is just slightly off. I'm very picky, and that annoys me, but I'll deal with it haha

Exactly what I see! Just mainly concerned if that was suppose to be there or not?

I've been trying like hell to answer this question myself by googling, but no one seems to have mentioned what it is. There's a black oval just under the ear piece. What is it? I assume it's some kind of depth sensor, but I could be completely wrong, so could someone please tell me if they know?

Hi, there's something underneath my rotating bezel and I can't seem to figure out what it is. Does anyone have this? My frontier was bought new from amazon.
Ist's a teflon (PTFE) ring,if you can see it ,it is displaced and your bezel might not rotate Smoothly.

Is there a way to replace it? DIY.
Hi,
Where is the light ambience sensor in the mix 3?
I read that it's under the slider, where the front cameras are which means that to adjust screen brightness automatically you have to open it? Is this true?
Thanks in advance.

Outside, if it was inside there would be no point having the option. You can test it easily
yes its top left. its a teeny weeny lil dot which you can spot easily when you tilt your phone back and forth, you will notice that there is a hole around that area.
