I have registered today,
So there is a project of i'm thinking about
Recently i bought an Xperia XZ (second hand). It's camera has a fault inside (working but a imaging fault). Before i buying it, i was following that XZ, XZs and XZ1 camera's switching inside...
As far as i know, XZ and XZs has only 2 diffirences:
1. Camera module,
2. +1 gb ram
AND as my researches from internet, XZ and XZs has identical housing, motherboard design, battery.... etc.
Z5, X, XZ ==> Almost Same camera, i am pretty sure they can be swap and work perfectly,
I have currently Z3c and Z1c and tried to swap cameras, they are working perfectly. Tried z2 camera too, it working too. ( I highly recommend to replace z1-z1c-z2 camera modules with Z3/Z3+, it is worth for it)
XZs, XZ1, XZ2 ==> Almost same module as far as i saw from internet. And must be using same sensor IMX 400
And with the XZ2's software, XZ2 is more successful that XZ1 and XZs... I don't know anything more. There is no OIS until the Xperia 1 phone.
MY questions, is anyone tried switching XZ camera Module to with XZs, XZ1, XZ-Premium Camere Module?
If no one did it and if i do it, will you help in software part?
Also i will chance my battery, do you recommend any seller? In my country battery about 10.5-11 dolars, and camera module is 11 dolars too. My battery Health is %88

Update over a decade
Now finally i have bought an item (xperia Xz1 camera module) and tried it...
It turns out that, Xperia Xz boot looping with XZ1 camera module. It is weird...
I am gonna flash XZs stock rom to XZ

today i want to ask queation about camera of tipo....xperia ion have 1.3MP front camera.....and our tipo has 3.0 or 3.2 (don't know which one)
but ion's front camera is much better then our tipo......how ...i observe it on my friend's xperia ion

The camera on the Tipo is pretty crappy. I recently looked at photos taken on a 3-year-old Nokia phone (S60 Symbian) and my Tipo on a large computer screen. The two phone cameras have nominally exactly the same number of pixels, 2048 x 1536 = 3.15 M, but the pictures from the Nokia were a lot sharper. The Tipo photos looked quite blurry in comparison. All were taken in good daylight. I don't know the exact Nokia model, and I don't have that phone handy. It was priced similarly to the Tipo, but 3 years ago.
The camera on the Tipo is basically only suitable for emergency snapshots when you don't have anything better handy, and even then only in daylight. There's effectively no low-light capability at all, and no flash. You do kinda get what you pay for. Of course, some might like the blur and wonky white balance as an artistic effect
I already know that the tipo has 3mp
I want to know that what is the difference between ion's front camera and tipo's back camera because ion's front camera's picture quality is better then tipo

I need to replace my Z2 camera module and I can't find one , instead I found a Z3 one , did this fit ? they have same specs and in photos they look similar parts .

It depands what you want more, since both phones are perfectly capable. Z5 Premium is proof of the concept, that you can have 4K display in a phone, but as a Z5 series seems to not being treated seroursly by Sony after X lineup showed up. XZ is more streamlined flagship with newer CPU and monthly updates (so far at least), but after release of XZs and XZ Premium don't look like high-end anymore.
Personally? I have XZ and after switching from Arc S I'm totally satisfied from my choice. If you have an eye on some discouted XZ, go get it
Go for the xz, better display, camera and battery life.
even small improvement counts so you should go for XXZ
you need to list what you need!
for this comparison, if you need larger display so choose Z5 premium
No point in even considering the Z5, flawed processor, 4k display paired with a small battery, it will lose support before the XZ.
If you want the best of Sony right now, I say get the XZ. I had the Z5 Premium before this phone and I can say that the display is better and a lot smoother!
