The camera on the Tipo is pretty crappy. I recently looked at photos taken on a 3-year-old Nokia phone (S60 Symbian) and my Tipo on a large computer screen. The two phone cameras have nominally exactly the same number of pixels, 2048 x 1536 = 3.15 M, but the pictures from the Nokia were a lot sharper. The Tipo photos looked quite blurry in comparison. All were taken in good daylight. I don't know the exact Nokia model, and I don't have that phone handy. It was priced similarly to the Tipo, but 3 years ago.
The camera on the Tipo is basically only suitable for emergency snapshots when you don't have anything better handy, and even then only in daylight. There's effectively no low-light capability at all, and no flash. You do kinda get what you pay for. Of course, some might like the blur and wonky white balance as an artistic effect

I already know that the tipo has 3mp
I want to know that what is the difference between ion's front camera and tipo's back camera because ion's front camera's picture quality is better then tipo

Price is the main difference... use of better hardware and all that...

[Q] camera

I have the Sony Xperia J and, as I'm sure you guys already know, the camera isn't the best. My main problem is with the focus. If I set it to autofocus it doesn't focus properly ( for example I take, let's say 5 shots- in those 5 shots only a maximum of 3 are focused right, for the rest the phone does its thing and tries to focus and takes the picture but the focus is all messed up).
Now I know that I also have to keep my hand steady so that the picture will be better but still, the camera is a bit disappointing .
Do you guys have any tips for me? Do you use a different app instead of the stock Camera app?
I tried the Camera Zoom Fx and even dough it this have more options I'm still not pleased...
Nothing?
Well, j isnt equipped with exmor r cybershot blah 3x... If you do get a good pic, then you can count yourself as lucky. Even if you use other apps, its the hardware that matters when it comes to camera. Its like pocket camera vs DSLR battle. We know for sure DSLR wins.

Best android devices camera

this thread to show the openion of all android users about them camera and its unique criteria of them vaviorite.any ploaded picture of your faviorite device is welcomed.no special test and no offend to any company its only your openion to the smart mobiles you used...
i will start with my faviorite .. i loved htc cameras from the start.as i had my 1st htc device (htc evo 3d) just becuase its wonderful cam.it was 5mp only but had a very conventional resolution.and its 3d picture was a real chaleng.
for now i find htc one is one of the best. as the new era of cam technology started by them....
write about what you think in your device cam.
Well I've never had anything by HTC phones but think that my one x probably takes the best photos out of the phones that I've had. Pictures always come out really crisp and sharp unless I'm in really low light. So my vote would be for the one x

Yup I tried already many phones and in see that one x has still one of the best cams... Even s3/s4 aren't that good like all people are thinking... My opinion because of even some tests even my old HD2 and the DHD from my dad are making better pics then any Samsung phones until s3 and some LG phones so htc camera software is even in stock really good optimized )

I'm not much of a photographer myself, but, bizarrely, the camera spec of a phone is an important factor.
Throughout my years of buying phones, I have seen that Sony has proved themselves, in my eyes, as the best manufacturer of smartphone cameras.
Why?
My first REAL camera phone was the SE K800i, for the time, it was fantastic. I didn't find a phone with a better camera for a while after that.
Then I bought the SE Satio, 12MP at a time when most phones seemed to have 5MP or lower, its flash was incredible and its night pictures were incredible, it even produced better images than my dad's Nokia N8, another 12MP phone released at a later date.
The Xperia arc S was a downgrade in MP to the Satio, but its images were of similar quality.
I then got the Xperia T, which had an awesome 13MP camera.
My Xperia Z has a great camera, but it has one fault; Sony's camera software compresses the image too much.
Overall, I'd say that, at the moment, the Xperia Z/Galaxy S4 have the best cameras (They both use the same sensor).
Probably followed by the HTC One, which can sometimes have worse pictures in light conditions (Though generally better in dark conditions).
For those interested in camera-phones, I'd suggest looking into the yet to be announced Xperia i1, which has a 20.7MP sensor, and an ISO much, much, much, higher than that of the HTC One, theoretically meaning better pictures in low-light conditions.

droidit.... do you think the viper rom added more abilities to your device(htc onex) abilities???
Hey guys,
the oneX cam is pretty nice and there is a cool thread from @Shan89 about a glitch which is improving pictures @ night.
When you´re flashing viperX you can choose a camera mod which i think gives more menu options and the ability to save uncompressed jpgs...
correct me if i´m wrong...
the glitch is still working with this mod.
i also like camera fv5 because it supports custom exposure time or whatever its called in english...
you can create bizarre photos in the dark or do some light paintings...
cant speak for other devices... before the hox i used a HTC Prophet
cheers

sure you are right and no mistakes.thnxx alot for telling me about shan89 thread i missed it. i hope if you try htc one cam.i think you will be intrested..
thanks all I think HTC cameras the best if we compare them with other cams in the same specification
I have never personally tried a Nokia phone but wondered how the Lumia with it's 42 mp camera stacked up against other phones. Don't know if that really makes a difference or not but would be really interested to find out. Hey bldy, yeah I think with all the extra options we get to tweak in the software has made a pretty big difference. I find that I can control a lot more of the variables when it comes to taking pictures. I still do have a standalone Sony cybershot for taking pictures if I know I'm going to be taking a lot of photos, but Ithink our cameras produce pictures about on par with that.

That reminds me, I need to update that ROM, but can't get the updater-script right.
My dad has had a few Nokia phones, his N8, for example had an 12MP camera which wasn't as good as my Satio (worse pictures in dark light, slight yellow tint in pictures), but compared to other phones, it was still great.
He now has a Nokia Lumia 820 and he hates it. It has an 8MP camera, dual LED flash, but it is simply horrid. Photos are too dark and saturated, and photos with a backlight are terrible. It is one of the worst camera phones I've used.
Nokia only seems to put great cameras onto it's flagship, because from what I have heard, the 920 has a great camera.
An annoying thing with Windows phones is the lack of options for the picture. You can't tweak individual settings for your pictures.

Bravia Engine can only function on devices with a locked bootloader, if you have an unlocked bootloader, the BE isn't working, and won't for anyone. Ever.
If you have a locked bootloader the BE will be the same on every ROM (Unless somebody ports a newer version).

Xperia xz dual sim, camera noise

Hi All,
I am still experimenting my new xz dual.
I noticed that the pics taken by its camera.. When u zoom in, there is noticable noise in the pictures and not what i expected at all from a phone advertised as a camera with an additional phone ?.
I am coming from samsung galasy s6+ and the pics looked better when it comes to the details with the zoom in to the picture.
So.. What do you think.. Is the problem with my eye? And what is the best settings for the xperia xz camera?
It is on nougat.
Thanks

Thanks... but can you elaborate more? like camera resolution settings, what to enable what to disable.. extra.
When you use 23 mega pixel sensore and use F2.0 with 24mm lens, you can't catch light very well.
Test this:
When you take picture out-door and middle of the day, XZ shot better than S6,S7,Pixel etc
Because you have bright environment and G-lense can get all light. Little noises and more details.
Set you device on 23mp (or 20mp for landscape shot)
When you shot in-door, better set you device on 8mp!
* NOTE: Google Pixel take amazing photos, why?
Smartphones can't compete with expensive DSLR camera in optical area. Use big pixel+less pixels is the real solution! (or make a giant camera like Nokia 808 and Samsung Galaxy camera).
Sony must learn some thing are more important then number of pixels! (and new flagship, Xperia XZ premium have 19mp and large pixel!!! Good for you sony)

Test different mode, iso, shot speed, resolution, etc yourself and finding better model.
i had xperia z,z2,z5 and now xz and i can confirm that its definetly far better then predecesors maybe z5 compete a little bit...ill share u my xperiance xz camera....i always use 20-23mp for landscape pictures because it captures more details but only if there is enough light outside... if there is low light i always use less MP so in my case 8mp and i play a little bit with shutterspeed and iso thats it...but dont expect XZ to have same lowlight shots like sgs7 does(i had one) ...s7 is simply the best in the lowlight area cuz of camera lens and pixel size... u cant have the best from both worlds
Sony update camera app...
You find app inside apkmirror
1-faster launch
2-slow motion mode inside maine UI
3-fix little lags when change between front and back camera
4- a little better focus and little noise when shot in-door mode
Bad thing: you can't install that like normal app install. Device must be rooted and apk inject /system/priv-app
I test updated camera... More test and shoot share soon. Post update soon.

Front Camera Missing Super Wide Mode

I have the XZ1 Compact and thought I'd pickup the XZ Premium due to the recent price drop. The XZ1 Compact front camera had a toggle to a super wide mode. My XZ Premium doesn't. I find this odd as they to share the same camera. Anybody find the toggle to super wide mode on their XZ Premium front camera? Maybe I'm missing it?

Thanks for the info. I guess it's a downgrade from the front camera perspective. I actually used it quite a bit on my XZ1 compact. In addition it doesn't have the white screen flash simulation on the front camera. Oh well, I guess the XZ Premium is going back.

flashing screen in front facing camera isnt some thing related to hardware
so you can download any camera app that has this feature as it is a software thing
wide is good but this phone has a great front camera plus you get the 4k display and a bigger screen and for a cheaper price than before
