Hi guys
Bought my phone at AliExpress with Global 9.1.4.0 installed
I was trying to install Xiaomi.eu ROM when I found out that my phone is associated with another Mi Account, presumably my seller's, so now I can't go on with installation.
Is there any way to solve this?
Return the phone if you can.
it basically means that your phone was unlocked by your seller, global rom installed and then shipped to you... theres no way to undo this at least to my knowledge...
Hi everyone.
I'm just bought a new Mi MIX3, its global variant and pre-installed with MIUI Global 10.0.11.0 PEEMIFH.
I want to root my new phone so i can put some modification on it. But anyone can confirm that the TWRP, magisk version that work on CN variant work on my phone or not?
If not, what method should i use for root? I'm only need root atm so TWRP is not matter.
I'm not new to Xiaomi or android phone, just wonder because no global fastboot rom available atm, so i afraid cannot unbrick my phone with miflash in case anythings goes wrong.
Thanks.

Can't root global yet.
It's almost impossible to brick, If you manage it and somehow manage to not get into twrp then fastboot the Chinese one without locking bootloader.
Once that's done flash twrp, flash global zip again

Hmm, okay, since very little ppl here own global unit, i'll test on my phone with different method and see which is working for global variant.
Any idea where a global zip can be found?

I'm new to the world of Xiaomi, so I appreciate any help in this matter if you can!
Since you say that you can't root the global version yet, is it safe to assume that the TWRP that's available will definitely not work? I'm near certain it won't, but just want 100% clarity.
I just purchased a global variant of the Mi MIx 3 and am eagerly awaiting to root/install Magisk. I'm glad YouTube vanced and GCam doesn't require root, but I do want a center clock more than anything. If we get TWRP/Magisk to work, can I install the center clock module that's found on this thread without any issues? I hope there won't be too many issues with flashing modules between the global/eu/chinese versions.
Cheers! I can't wait for my Mix 3 to arrive.

I think root now works on phones that ship with global so just need to install twrp and flash magical. Just take backups etc.
Chinese to global seems to cause the root issue. Might be different now just not tested it.
Modules should work ok
After testing and research, this is the root tutorial for MIX 3 global edition, please remember that this is for global edition, not china edition. Please check carefully that your phone is truly global, not china with global rom pre-installed by seller.

Not true because China Mix 3 run perfectly Global rom.
The problem is rooting that.
And afaik there is no difference between models. At least on system specs screen.

Welp, trying to get into TWRP has caused me to bootloop. I screwed up a thing or two and now I need to learn how to use MiFlash to somehow flash a Chinese ROM so I can get into TWRP to flash an EU ROM. I originally was aiming to flash an EU ROM coming from the global ROM, that may have led me to screw something up eventually.
I'm glad fastboot still works. Just learning of the world of Xiaomi now.. I have to admit, there's a lot I didn't know about EDL and what not. I'll be using the 6T until I can figure out how to get things back up and running I guess.

Which ROM exactly? I mean.. I try to sideload the EU ROM and it doesn't let me. I can actually sideload Arrow or Pixel Experience but then get stuck in bootloop again.
Appreciate any help!

What happens when you try and install the EU rom by copying it to twrp then flashing it instead of sideloading it?

When you say ADB I'm assuming you mean fastboot command line as you don't need ADB for twrp.
All latest drivers installed and all usb ports tried?
Hey all,
I am almost done with my waiting time for unlocking the bootloader. I am not sure if I should be flashing Xiaomi.eu or not. My aim from this is that I want to remove everything from MIUI that track and harvest data. I do not care if I continue to have MIUI or move to any other ROM.
Anyway, I noticed that my Mi 10 Ultra keeps running the following apps:
- Analytics.
- GetApps.
- Mi Browser.
- AI Call Assistant (what is that? Why do I need a call assitant?)
- NetworkLocation (What is that? Is it collecting any data?)
I have already stopped all the permission and uninstalled all the updates of those apps from the settings. They still manage to download themselves on my stock ROM and continue to function!
Anyway, I did not find any ROM to install other than Xiaomi.eu to be honest. But, it still has Analytics. But, they gave it a different name. The only good thing is that they claim that they have removed all bloats and they decreased the data collection to its minimum.
Moving on, I have tried ([ADB DEBLOAT] MIUI 12.0.8 List). I did not filter ones I want to remove. I just removed everything mentioned. My phone showed a loading screen which says Just a Sec. I waited for a while and then restarted the phone because, it did not move anywhere from there. So, I have decided to restart and... My phone was locked. It was locked for a day and then I was able to unlock it after I did a hard reset.
I do not want to go through that again. So, I am waiting for my bootloader to unlock before doing anything to my device.
So, here are my questions:
1- Is there no Custom Rom that is compatible with Mi 10 Ultra other than Xiaomi.eu? What are my options here?
2- If I installed Xiaomi.eu. What are things that I should be removing? And do I have to sign in to Mi account again after unlocking the bootloader?
Thanks in advance,

I think currently there are no custom ROM for Mi 10 Ultra yet, only official china rom and EU rom atm.
I am running the 20.9.24 weekly EU rom currently, the rom removed almost all china exclusive app (mi wallet and etc). You probably do not need to remove anything. Yes, you need to login to MI account again.

It'll be fine. You can choose NOT to login to Mi Account after installing EU ROM.
Hi guys, so I bought my first Realme phone a couple of months ago and I noticed that the Google Pay app wasn't working. I checked the ali store where i bought it and surely it said "Global rom: This is the version with global firmware installed, with many languages, including portuguese language, spanish language, google store is normal, but please note that google pay payment does not work properly". For any reason, this ROM wont let me have Google Pay, so I wanted to know if any of you knows how to enable the Google Pay app? or should I install another ROM? Has any of you had a similar problem? Thanks
Perhaps shift from global to Europe firmware?
Im from South America, so I dont know if the European firmware would work. I'm having a little bit of trouble finding out how RUI 3.0 - Firmware - ROM work. Also, do you know how to do the shift from Global to European? Or at least a tutorial? Ive seen the site https://realmefirmware.com/realme-gt-neo2-5g-firmware/ which has the global firmware released today but I dont know if it's just installing the firmware and problem solved.
Bootloader unlocked = no google pay, it will only work with the original firmware channel, don't try locking your bootloader if you are not 100% sure of it, this will cause your phone to bootloop and you will end up with a bricked device that only realme support would be able to solve, the best solution would be to spoof your device fingerprint to pass the SafetyNet and everything will work just fine, you can contact me for help if you want.
Yes Im going to need a little bit of help with that, thanks

With Magisk installed you can use the Universal SafetyNetFix by kdrag0n, easy fix
hello, I also flashed the phone, changed the region, rooted it (now it does not work). And closed the bootloader. works on the old bank, but the new (other) does not want to.

i did install it, but CTS profile still not pass.
I figure out that I need a valid fingerprint which associate to the device (The one which registered to google) to make CTS check pass.
So, I need the fingerprint when the device is in stock rom and haven't rooted.
I have a Russian (thanks Amazon !!) Redmi 9a 32Gb/2gb. It is currently running latest 12.0.x ROM version, but i would like to upgrade it to 12.5.
I see on xiaomi ROM site there is currently a 12.5.x version for Russian version, but the OTA never arrived and if i download the recovery zip file and install it manually, it fails verification and stops.
Is there a way to install 12.5 without unlocking the bootloader ?
Is 12.5 supported on this specific redmi 9a ?
thanks !
mmm... spflashtool might work, but Ive only ever used it on a bircked device to unbrick it, never on a functional device to just change the ROM version, but if you really wanna do it without unlocking bootloader thats your best choice.
I will say anyway, its probably safer to unlock bootloader install recovery and install the rom from there, its your call tho.
Heres how I unbricked my device

Right now I cannot unlock the bootloader, maybe in the next months I might try (I want to wait for the warranty to expire). My concern is that my version of Redmi 9A with just 2G of Ram is actually not compatible with MIUI 12.5. The 12.5 rom is actually available, but OTA will leave me in the 12.0 branch and verification fails if I try to install the ROM manually. I would not want to brick it by installing an unsupported ROM.
My phone model is M2006C3LG and the ROM I have right now says I have 1.8Gb of available RAM, I don't think you have a different device from mine.
Im a total n00b so I may be wrong about this next thing, but, I think the only difference is what version of MIUI they were sold with since the hardware doesn't allow downgrades further than the stock ROM that came with the device.
There is always antirollback after MIUI 10, but I think its even further locked for the original stock ROM that came to the device, but yeah, this is all my own speculation due to a bricking incident I faced.
The model number is the same, but the 9A was available with different sizes of RAM 2 or 3 or 4 Gb. Mine is the low end 32/2 which is the model still on sale today. If you still have 1.8 Gb of free RAM you very likely has the 3 or 4 GB model.
Maybe you are right, the OTA allows only for updates within the same MIUi version; I saw several guides on-line and i think i will try the miflash tool and switch to the global version. I have to find a way to unlock bootloader without Xiaomi account (no way in hell I'm signing up for that) and without sim card (this phone is used as a smaller wi-fi only tablet). There are some tools for an offline unlock, I will try those first.
It is incredible how Xiaomi is making it complex just to update to a stable official ROM; given also how much bloatware is shovelled with the stock ROM, I'm not sure I will ever consider Xiaomi again.

In my opinion, DON'T UPGRADE. I upgraded it with recovery and fastboot and my phone got an message everytime when I boot it : dm verity corrupted and I will need to press power button again to work. Maybe i didn't did that correctly ( I have Global 12.0.20 32/2gb)

Thanks for the info. So you upgraded to latest 12.0 without moving to 12.5, any reason for not trying 12.5 ? The phone is currently barely usable with Android 10, maybe Android 11 is even heavier, but why not give it a try ?
I saw several youtube videos and guides and by using MI Flash with a Fastboot image (scattered tgz) it should be a total reflash of the phone.
