Didn't work for me, but at least we have USB OTG, so there are other options.
Just get a Moga Pro, you won't be disappointed. I don't know how I ever went without one.
six axxis works fine on 4.4
As a gamer I am really interested in this phone because of it's awesome specs but there is one important detail I would really like to know. Can you connect a gamepad, like the dualshock 4 for example, through otg on this device? I would really appreciate it if an owner ran a test to see if it's possible.
P.S. I want to run emulators on it.
Can't anyone tell me if this thing supports gamepads? Please!
If you root the phone then you should be able to use ps3/4 pads with sixaxis app

That is through Bluetooth but what about otg? What if I flash CM on it? Will it surely work then?

I don't know as I don't have a ds4 to test. But isn't wireless better than connecting with USB?

I am a input delay freak. I have enough android devices that have disappointing me when it comes to bluetooth gamepad connection. I just want a simple, lag free, wired connection. Wires, while they might be uncomfortable, they will always beat wireless when it comes reliability and speed of data transfer.
Last time I used sixaxis on my Nexus 4, it was flawless but I'll ask my cousin if he can bring his ds4 so I can test it with a USB cable and sixaxis
Post your favorite game controller for the S6.
Please state wired or connected through bluetooth.
And tell us about your experience with emulators.
I personally tried to connect:
A wiimote to the S6 through bluetooth to play snes games without any luck.
A wii U controller through both bluetooth and USB > no success
A xbox controller through USB > no success
I use my ps3 controller via bluetooth. Had to download a key mapping app (available on playstore) to get it to work properly. I'm contemplating whether to buy a cellphone mount for the case so I can attach my phone on the controller (to achieve something similar to nvidia shield).

Rakcoon is probably going to tell you a different way (or maybe the same way.. dont know we will see) but this is the way i did it.
Your phone must be rooted for it to be able to work with these apps.
First get Sixaxis Compatibility Checker if you havent. and check if your phone is even compatible at all.
IF yes get the Sixaxis controller app. it costs €1,94 but i'm sure you can get the apk somewhere for free.
Have a good day!

Hello, I have not cleared my mind on which phone between p40 pro, s20+ or mi 10 pro..
The biggest downside is that I reallly need android auto connection (via usb ) between phone and my car ( VW polo) , but I haven't read anything yet...
Many functionality of GMS may be left out, in favour of the best camera but maps/android auto is a must!
Thank you
You will need GMS, and it will work flawlessly if you don't install GMS your option will only be to use the phonescreen.

I have Google services installed on my P40 Pro and cannot get Android Auto to work in my 2017 vw golf. When I connect I get the option on my phone for charge etc and the Android Auto in the car screen comes on for a second then says the phone is disconnected?
Any ideas ion what the problem could be?
I have both S20U and P40 Pro with GMS and i prefer the P40 Pro for everything even AA works better then on the S20U

Did you have to do any other steps to get AA working? I'm on the latest 158 firmware with GMS installed.
Tried to wireless cast on both my Toshiba and Hisense TVs, it tries to connect then reverts back to try and connect again, any ideas folks?
same problem here, do you solve it?

I have the same problem. I tried with POCO X3 - cant connect, then with Redmi Note 9 Pro and it works with no problem. So it seems that this is an issue with the phone. Also as we can see here, more people have problem with this.
This sucks as I used it a lot and wanted to continue using it.... I am on miui.eu
I can see the TV in the list on poco but when I try to connect - it dissapears.
mine works fine (samsung tv)

Never tried directly on TV, but my phone can connect to miracast dongle properly.
Mine is working fine with casting as well. Samsung tv. I'm on latest stock miui global rom.
