Hi.
Does the batttery still needs to be nfc compatible like the ones that had the antenna fixed in them?
Galaxy s7 obviously has it outside of it therefore im wondering if the battery has to be nfc compatible or not

so you know those tags on the battery that give the phone nfc under the label?
basically the one on my battery is broken meaning that i have no NFC capabilities anymore long story short my conspiracy theorist friend said "its the government spying on you with this chip" and then proceeded to slice the chip with a blade and cut the bit that connects it to the battery meaning its just stuck on the battery and sliced but not connected to the battery as it was (part of the tag going inside the top)
from what i can tell that chip gives my device nfc and does not infact give the government any information i was wondering if it is possible to buy another nfc sticker tag thing apply it and then connect it to the battery to give myself nfc again.
i've already ordered a new battery off Samsung but if i can fix this one it would be a huge bonus because then id have a backup battery that has the nfc capabilities back

I'm trying to use my banks NFC sticker but it seems not to detect the sticker so I'm guessing NFC is not working.
Any fixes?
try some other NFC staff, like NFC tag
see my post here, FYI

Hello!
I have problem with my s6 after screen replacement, also I changed the battery from s7e (3600mah) and removed nfc/wireless charging module but after this I'm losing gsm signal to 0 without reason. Tried flash 3 different roms but still the same. Any ideas where can be problem?

Put the NFC module back in and try again. If it works normally you need the module to complete a circuit of sorts. Do you know for sure that its not necessary? I've seen some really strange issues occur from removing parts internally.
Anyone know where to get internal parts for the Gear S3? I have the AT&T LTE Frontier version. My battery sucked, so I decided to get a battery and install it. Went fine but the connector from to the system board got boogered up. Now I have great battery but the bezel no longer works.
Hello. I was wondering about NFC in j7. I know that it is a very VEEERY stupid, but intresting. When i first time pulled up the battery,
i noticed 4 contacts on phone and on the battery. I know, know that maybe that fourth contact can be service which send data to phone about battery status, or checks is it Samsung Battery? Or maybe its isnt?? I dunno actually. And IF it antually NFC contact (which probably not), can i use it?? I have original samsung nfc-compatible battery, and if i pull it inside my phone with modificated rom (can i do it with custom?? Maybe yes. Model of my phone J700H ) Will it work?? I think no but, its very intresting. I know that j7 which supports nfc, works on Qualcomm SOC, and etc.. But maybe it will work(((
