Anyone know where to get internal parts for the Gear S3? I have the AT&T LTE Frontier version. My battery sucked, so I decided to get a battery and install it. Went fine but the connector from to the system board got boogered up. Now I have great battery but the bezel no longer works.

I'd like to know as well. My usb port has stopped working. It won't charge or connect to my pc. Verizon doesn't want to fix it. They just want to replace the phone.

I'm confused.. why wouldn't you want to have the phone replaced? I'd take a brand new phone any day. Of course assuming it's actually new and not a "like new" refurbished one..
just curious is all.
And on the OP's question - I did a google search for s4 battery door covers and found some pretty legit looking sites that sold all kinds of different colors. While perusing on the sites for other stuff they had I saw they had replacement parts for the s4 as well as other phones. I don't remember the actual site but I recall there being many, many search results that sold parts, cases, chargers & other accessories. Hope that helps? Sorry for not having a particular site but maybe my reply gets you closer to what you seek.
Good Luck!

Well my s4 is rooted and I have it setup just the way I like and it is working great. No lag, good battery life, etc. I use wireless charging on the phone to charge it so the port is doesn't have to be repaired as I can still charge the phone. I have the stock samsung battery as well as 2 3000mah zero lemon batteries and charger for them. I can usually go 15-20 hrs on a single charge with the zl battery with wifi, bluetooth, gps, etc running all day.
The biggest reason of not wanting to get a replacement is the issue of root with a new phone. With the new or refurbished phones possibly coming with the newest update, It might not be possible to root the new one they send me right now. I dunno if someone has a work around for the new update yet. I haven't been keeping up with it since I've been rooted close to the release of the phone. If root is possible how easy is it? It only prob took me 10-15 mins to root and flash a new rom to my s4 with the one click root.

Root is easy, recovery isn't possible right now.
So if you're using stock rom with root, freezing aps etc, then just get a new phone.
If you got a rom loaded and it's crucial, then wait I guess.
You could titanium back up and restore what you can with your new phone.

I think I'll just stick with what I got for now. Between wireless charging and the charger that comes with the zero lemon batteries I'm ok. Never had wireless charging before and can't see living w/out it now. It's a great feature. I'm running the newest release of hyperdrive and really liking it right now. Very stable, everything works, battery life is pretty good. Would like to flash a nice kernel and get this Quad Core Manager+ app working right on my s4. Had something similar on my htc evo 3d that shut the 2nd core down in sleep mode and dropped the 1st core to 486 mhz. My battey life was crazy. Like standby with wifi on, bluetooth, gps on and losing maybe a percent of my battery every 6-8 hrs.

aright so, let say i went to Disneyland with the kids and Stupid me decided to right this water log thing and it ended up doing damage to my samsung s3. It charges, but when i sync to my laptop it says usb damage. Im guessing water damage . My contract has not ended yet, but my wife's has. She really like her note 2, and will not want to upgrade. Is going to cost more to fix then to replace it.
So here is my question??
is it possible if my wife upgrades her note 2 to a s5, but keeps her sim in the note 2, while I take my sim out of my s3 and use it for the s5. sorry, if it sounds weird. we are the same carrier(Verizon). Or is this not going to work because we will have to deactivate the phone. The s3 is killing me is to the point is dying in my pocket, I never use it and by the time of break is at 30%. I tried to restore it and everything and the water damage just made it worse.

Assuming you're both on the same carrier, swapping SIMs should be no problem at all.
Hello, I have the AT&T Gear S2 SM-R730A with the recent update that just came out yesterday. Anyways, i have been using it at work and I have to leave my phone in my locker so the watch isnt connected via Bluetooth. It will last only 5 hours this way and this is with a few texts and emails and no calls. I tried shutting Bluetooth off and still same drain. I also shut off gps still same. Wifi has never been on and neither has NFC so its not that. Any suggestions?

Something after the update killed my battery overnight (less than 4hrs). I decided to quickly do a hard reset before going to work in an attempt to figure out the issue. Additionally, it’s overheating on both chargers I have. I removed a few apps & watch faces I haven’t used since buying the watch. Battery life is back on par. I’ll probably attempt another hard reset this evening & not rush it.

Im packing this piece of garbage up and selling it. I had for a week and the battery life is horrible.
Another HD reset and better selection of notifications cleared the battery drain and over heating.
I shouldn't have to deal with all this for the price you pay for a watch. I'm paid for it out right I've only had it for 4 days I'm taking it back and buying the LG Google watch
Hi Guys,
I got the Gear S3 watch and I really like it. I have always been into watches, but automatic (mechanical) ones. And, as you know, they are extremely durable and repairable.
Since I really liked the S3, I am thinking when the time comes - will I be able to replace the battery? I don't see a place on the Internet that sells replacement ones. Maybe because it is a new device...
Anyway, does anybody know where I can get a replacement battery?
Also, is there a way to get a custom battery with the same spec? Is there a place where you can order one (same voltage, type, capacity, size) and even if it is not S3-specific still use it?
Thanks.
You may be replacing the Watch before the battery, so don't worry...and jump into your S3.

Yeah, I know what you mean and I am like that for electronics. But since I consider it as a "watch", I expect it to last... Well, time will tell
I would love to know where I can purchase an OEM replacement battery for my Gear S3 Frontier. Anyone have some tips?

Samsung S3 battery replacement
Gpmg762, do you know if detailed instructions on how to change the battery come with the new battery? I’d like to know exactly how to remove the back the correct way before I even consider doing it myself.
I’ve had my Gear S-3 since it was new. I use to get up to 3 days use out of it with BT on, auto heart rate checking often, around dimming screen set to 15 sec, I did have it set to only light up when I turned the bezel or pushed a button, but I do receive 40 to 59 messages a day where it lights up the watch. I have the BT onlyand run it with my iPhone. After the latest update in Jan 2018, battery life has dropped to about 18 to maybe 24 hrs at a most. I now have it set so that messages will not light up screen and have even started using the frontier watch face with BT turned off. I still only get about 22 to 24 hrs. This happened immediately after the last update. I’ve done a factory restore on watch, multiple reboot ect. but I can not get my battery life to return. I’ve deleted every app and 3rd party watch face, but nothing helps. I have a Apple Watch series 2, but I just don’t care for the looks. I want my Gear to work again. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you, Brian Davis
I'm looking to replace the battery of my S3 frontier. I've had mine for a year and a half and it is showing quite the degradation. I would like to replace it.
Has anyone successfully sourced OEM batteries from the US? If so, where?

Do all frontier models use the same battery?
The battery is available for $23.99 on Amazon. This is for the Gear S3 Frontier.
I have used Gear watches since the first through to my current S3 so well adjusted to performance and quality.
My S3 purchased at UK launch now just over a year old and the battery has dropped from 3.5 days to 1 day.
I returned it to Samsung as purchased direct, useless morons just factory reset and flashed an old firmware - battery still sucks. Called today was basically told tough battery warranty only for 12 mths.
Also issues with BT not reconnecting after drops outs and bezel peel.
So fed up i decided to play dirty as Samsung are and order a new one and send them the old.
Result new watch battery just over 3 days, different bezel material and BT auto reconnects on drop out.
So to me seems allot of launch early life issues kept quite and resolved in later builds.
Advice just order exact model and said just make sure your S3 is A1 condition. Serial number check I assume is box label.
