Just a quick question, does unlocking the bootloader on the pixel 3 disable widevine in Netflix etc like it goes in some other devices? Thanks
Sorry, wrong forum

After speaking to Level 2 & Level 3 Support, I am still unable to Unlock Bootloader through Motorola's site. I am getting a message " Your device does not qualify for Bootloader Unlocking" so Motorola checked my IMEI and it does indeed qualify for Bootloader Unlocking so now I have to wait for Motorola Support to contact me with a resolution.
If so how did it play out and how long did it take to resolve?
Thanks in advance
Mods, please delete thread. Mission accomplished in General section.
Hello i just unlocked the bootloader
After unlocking new boot image show in every restart
You phone is not trusted your bootloader now is unlocled
How to remove this screen ???
by relocking your bootloader theres no option to remove that screen AND keep an unlocked bootloader currently just have some patience, maybe a solution will come up soon, so no sense in asking the same question over and over in 10 different threads AND opening up separate threads for this

Can you do fastbook oem lock when you've installed custom firmware?
no idea, but it doesnt matter in our case yet, since there are no custom firmwares out yet for the mate 8, only stock

I have my code from Motorola to unlock my bootloader. Although, in their instructions, it doesn't mention having to go into developer mode and check allow OEM unlocking. I have read in other places that this has to be checked before unlocking bootloader. Confused? Thanks.

You do not need to double post, there is more then enough activity in this forum to get your answer without cluttering it down.
Yes, you must set OEM Unlocking in Developer Menu to ON or you will not be able to unlock the bootloader.

Sorry, my apologies. Thanks for answering.
Currently I am on stock OOS with a locked bootloader and I heard that when you unlock the bootloader the DRM gets downgraded to L3.
Is this correct and does it go back to L1 if you relock the bootloader?
Also, is there a hack of some sort that allows the device to continue using L1 DRM with an unlocked bootloader?
L1 not working
I unlocked bootloader and then relocked it again but it is still showing L3 what should i do
Hey check this -> https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/closed-widevine-drm-on-op6.815683/page-2#post-18476836
You can try to flash magisk to pass the saftynet and hide netflix/amazon prime video to try HD content
edit:
My OnePlus 6 with unlocked bootloader and I have DRM lvl 3

What I've seen by now, no it's not possible.

Ah ok that's unfortunate
I'll probably stay with official OOS for the moment anyway, but thanks for the info
So, has anyone tried OOS 5.1.6 and the fastboot locked bootloader bug to backup and restore the DRM keys while locked or to use Magisk root while on 5.1.6 locked bootloader and see if L1 keys are retained?

There's another thread in this forum that poses that exact question. No one to date has succeeded and I'm not sure it's even possible using the 5.6 boot exploit because Widevine calls home every time it proxies protected content.
I suggested chipping in on a bounty that would go to whomever can find a way to get L1 on a OP6 with its' bootloader unlocked using a method that would be successful with ROMs based on OOS, LOS and AOSP. I figured a little financial incentive could provide some motivation, but nobody else seemed willing to contribute. ?

Since I need L1 on an unlocked bootloader, I ended up getting a Moto Z3 Play despite it being slower since Widevine L1 stays regardless of bootloader state or Magisk being installed.
I have a simple mobile/tracfone moto g stylus 2021. (XT2115DL) first I want to know if I can unlock the bootloader and flash firmware to the device? Preferably the unlocked software channel. I also need to know if anybody knows of a reliable, reasonable priced network unlock company I can use?

There may be an Unofficial unlock method but I haven't seen anything reported that's reliable.
