Dead/Stuck/Hot pixels - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

On black background at full brightness in a dark room, I notice some white/red pixels when looking very closely at the screen. Anyone else experience that?

Quick look at the White, Gray and Pink Samsung Book Cover for the Note 8

Just thought I put a video to show the colors of the Samsung Book Cover case for the Galaxy Note 8 tablet. Hopefully it helps those that don't have access to the Book Cover cases and want to see what the colors look like.

Thanks for the videos. It does help, but in the future you should adjust or set your video camera's White Balance for the type of lighting source you are using so that colors are more accurate (if you have that setting, or try Auto White Balance). For instance, viewing your video on both my computer monitor and my Note II, the PINK case looks ORANGE/NARANJA, and the White case looks like a muddy Yellow/Eggshell color. Just a tip for better videos and photos with more accurate color. Thanks again.

Night Clock Too Bright

Hi. While I really like the night clock on the Note Edge, I think it is a bit on the bright side. Is there anyway to control its brightness?
No
No. Sorry.
I love it, it is very dim (in my opinion) perfect for me
---------- Post added at 06:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:52 PM ----------
But no way to control the brightness...
Hey I do not have the Edge yet but does Screen filter app by haxor industry not work for edge screen too? I use to use that app when I had note 3 during night time as samoled was little too bright in pitch black.

Display Color Calibration

Hi guys,
I've purchased Honor 8 yesterday. After seeing anandtech review,http://www.anandtech.com/show/10678/the-huawei-honor-8-review/4
honestly I've been a little bit disappointed.
Is that possible to calibrate display with root or w/o root?
What owners think about the display? Because according to anandtech review, display has a blue tint and even my 3,5 years old Samsung Galaxy S4 display color accuracy better then honor 8.
Please enlighten me.
The display is set to a very vivid type of calibration. I'd actually say it's similar to default Samsung AMOLED calibration. Honestly, I have a work iPhone and I don't really notice the "poor" calibration on the Honor unless I look at it side by side. It's fine to me.
setting display you can change the colour temp i think thats what youre taking about...
S4 has an AMOLED screen. Honor 8 just IPS.
The honor 8 display is bad calibrated imho. Even the P9 Lite of my girlfriend is better in color reproduction. The built in color adjustment can't resolve this issue. I really hope in a future upgrade of this with a software upgrade.
After a while i can say the honor 8 is a P9 Lite with a better camera and better look...and a bad display...
just ordered mine, all the reviews says disaply is ok, nothing about blue tint
Update to the latest OTA, if the problem is still present, maybe its a hardware issue

I think its more a problem with calibration.
In this video you can see the display has a blue tint compared to the P9

Mine once changed to warm temperature looks pretty good.

I set the color adjustment to 12:00 to add some red. Its slightly better, if i change to warm temperature the display becomes a little green

As you can see it's not an hardware failure but simply an inaccurate screen calibration. I don't need a screen perfect calibrated but here there isn't some sort of calibration at all.
Consider that the P9 isnt well calibrated too...

Weird thing on Slowmo Vids

Hello i've just moved to this device couple days ago.
I noticed that the slowmo video is horribly dark.
Anyone experiencing this?
How to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance guys
It's not the fault of Oneplus or 6?
Super-slo-mo means super-short-exposure, so you need a larger lens opening (which you can't do in a cellphone) or more light.
---------- Post added at 05:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 AM ----------
A couple of points:
- the video is relatively low res, only 720p
- you need super good lighting. Think about it for a moment. At 440 FPS you have a crazy fast shutter speed. You’re going to need good lighting conditions to get anything decent.?

Screen Issues on OnePlus 7 Pro [Stock]

2 screen issues annoying me on my OP 7 Pro.
1. When scrolling on a white background at lowest brightness, there's severe ghosting on anything black. This is more apparent when Night Mode is on. Night mode: More warm, less lightness. Notice the Uber and Uber Eats icons on the app drawer in (attached videos in zip folder). Notice in the Harvey's video, white letters inside the icon get covered by the ghosting around it.
I noticed this since the previous 9.6.10 build. This is still there on OxygenOS 10. Very annoying when using the phone in the dark.
2. At brightness around 30-40%, Night Mode Off, on the lock screen, notice the live wallpaper distorting on dark colors (lower left area). Video attached "lock screen".
I only noticed this since I switched live wallpaper to this particular one. I didn't check out this live wallpaper before OxygenOS 10, so I don't know if this is related to the new build or not.
Running Stable OxygenOS 10.0, 90Hz, DC dimming ON, Adaptive brightness ON, P3 color gamut. My camera is the Red Magic 3, so poor quality and 60fps video. This is much more noticeable on the OP display. Crank up brightness on your screen when viewing the videos.

I was using a GS6 for 2.5 years as my daily driver, never noticed this. Noticed it just a month into using the OP 7 Pro. Plus, the GS6 screen can get even more dim in the dark than the OP7 Pro screen.

It is. The extent can vary. Pixels have it more severe. The tab S4, s6 and S10 plus, mate 20 pro etc all had it. it's an oled thing
