Seems that Huawei Team is reading this forum very often... because they listen to their users :
- They block the Database Unlock Codes
- They Add the third-party Notifications when Screen is off
- They block the option to Remove Stock launcher by ADB Command starting with 195 Update
- They block the option to Remove the Stock launcher by Package Disabler starting with 200 Update
All of these info's were discussed here and only here. There is no way they could have got this info from any elsewhere rather than xda...
Well done, Huawei... you take the worst from your users, but never take any good opinions to Upgrade... I feel sorry i throw my money on you... I should have stick with Xiaomi...

From what i understand, point 2 is actually a good thing. Points 3 and 4 were always a known issue for the Chinese version and people had just found a loophole to fix it. Anyone not wanting that issue was always advised to go for the international version which works flawlessly with third party launchers from the start. Point 1 was also a known issue and only loopholes were being used.
Bottom line is that Huawei has not sprung any surprises on us. I am more than happy with my international version. The only issue was the AOD was not supporting third party apps so i was using NoLED but with that fixed its all good.

I am just curious... how it is supposed for the L29 to work flawlessly with third-party Launchers when everyone said that they can't Remove Stock Launcher on L29 ?
Am i missing something here ?
Whatever, what i wanted to said is everything that has been discussed here on XDA they are in direct proportions with the exact feature / or not that Huawei is pushing to our Mate 20 X at the moment...
- We wanted third Party launcher and we found a way to do it : Huawei Disabled any method to remove the Stock Launcher by now !
- We wanted third-party Apps Notifications with the Screen Off : Huawei gives us that !
- We wanted to Unlock Bootloader, we did it somehow... : Huawei stop this now...
- We wanted a more advanced ROM : Huawei give us the ROM much more faster than we thought...
What i'm trying to say here is that, somehow, Huawei is reading XDA a lot in the past time )

I haven't tried to remove the stock launcher but there is the option to switch to other launchers from the default app selection menu. Attached the screenshot for reference.
Also, i know for a fact that most companies have a dedicated social media team which handles Twitter, Facebook and other posts. Whenever i have a complaint against any service,i usually post on Twitter and get a much quicker response than calling up the help desk. I am sure they are monitoring forums relevant to their products or service as well to get feedback. Might be the same why Huawei

Huh.. that's interesting...What Software version are you running buddy ?
Can anyone with EVR-AL00 can select another Launcher rather that the Stock one ? I am wondering if Huawei did listen to this as well and they offer us the chance to Change to third party Launcher with their new EMUI ...

Running stock rom .. 9.0.0.192 on EVR L29. This feature was there since the past few updates as well. Like i mentioned earlier, i don't think this is a direct option on the AL00

Soo disappointed
Even with 9.1 update they can't fix the ugly front camera soft image processing
Damn you HUAWEI
Portrait are ****
Faces details are bad with rear too

All these issues have been extensively spoken on other platforms including huawei own forums. Nevertheless this is great news. Only thing Id like to ask is the people above are they outside China has this now been pushed to EU and UK also I'd love to see a image of what the 3rd party notifications look like on AOD screen.

[APP][5.1+] AdClear: Non-Root Full-Version Ad Blocker

Introduction:
AdClear is a non-root ad blocker for Android devices. There's only one version of the app, and it's free. We released it at the end of December and are looking for feedback and help in making AdClear the best it can be.
Features:
Blocks encrypted ads
Works with Wi-Fi and cell data
Blocks ads in apps
Selective app filtering
Support for multiple browsers
Non-root
Log of blocked ads
Saves bandwidth and battery
Increases loading speeds online
How Does It Work?
AdClear is non-root, but it works on rooted phones just the same. AdClear creates a VPN on your device to filter out ad traffic before it reaches you on the web or in apps. The SSL certificate gets in the way of encrypted ads and filters them in the same way. This means the ad blocker can run in the background while you browse in whatever browser or app you want to use.
Who Are We?
SEVEN Networks actually has a pretty storied history on the mobile market--just in the background. We became pioneers in mobile messaging by inventing push-notified e-mail in the early '00s. We sold this feature to carriers and companies like Blackberry to put on their phones. In the same vein, we deployed e-mail to more than 550 devices in a time when OS platforms varied from phone to phone. As Android and iOS became the two primary platforms, we switched gears by creating Open Channel, which improved mobile network traffic by eliminating the need for constant syncing. We sold this technology to multiple carriers and even released a version on the Play store.
Recently, we've obviously taken sight of the developing market for ad blockers, and we realized we have some unique tools to bring to the table. Open Channel's fantastic resources gave us the ability to block encrypted ads and a huge data pool with which to build AdClear. We released AdClear on December 28, 2015, and we've been updating and upgrading it ever since.
"How Do You Make Money?"
The truth is, we don't right now. What we are doing is creating a source of analytics from our users in order to fix bugs and improve the app. This includes your device, android version, battery life, and app usage. You are assigned a UUID that completely separates you from your device and data, and there is no feasible way for us to personally identify you. If you'd like, uninstalling and reinstalling the app will give you a completely new UUID that cannot be connected to the previous one. We only use this to rapidly analyze and change our product.
In the future we may sell anonymized data to carriers, but that's one idea of many. That's part of what we want to know from you. This is a unique business plan for the ad blocking market. Would you be more inclined toward an acceptable ads or freemium model (premium being opting out of analytics)? Our main priority is to provide a high quality experience based on user suggestions to YOU at a high development pace. After a post we made on reddit got a bit of traction, we added a log, selectable app filter, and on/off switch based off of suggestions within the next few days. We want to get that type of feedback, that help, from XDA, and we're excited about the DEVDB platform. We've included the feature request and bug report sections and we hope that they are used! Either way, we're excited to have address these things with you in the comments.

Ok, I have installed and uninstalled this three times. Each time, I get that it is installed properly. But, I keep getting a triangle warning in my status bar that says "network may be monitored by an unknown third party" . I have checked the ok to have it as a trusted credential. But, I don't think it is showing up in the trusted credentials in my security setting.
I don't see the C O credential. Why is it not installing the credentials? The ad blocking does seem to be working.
I am rooted, with Verizon's xt1254 phone using resurrection remix rom right now.
I also use the "mother of all adblocking" script (right word?).

The credential should be in the user tab under your security credentials. The third party notification is something we can't fix unfortunately. I believe it has something to do with the VPN being on. As far as your ROM, we have no real testing done on how we work with ROMs, so that may be an issue. That's something we want to have enough info on in the future to address. Please let us know to what extent the app is working and we'll see what we can do.

That's awesome to hear! We welcome any feedback you may have!
On screen off, vpn disconnects and doesn't reconnect on screen on. Adguard works fine though.
I have this on my Huawei P8 and I also get the occasional notification that vpn disconnected when screen is off. No mention of reconnecting but ads are still being blocked after this happened so I guess it's still working.
Is this apps work like adaway?

Hello, thanks for installing.
The notification is, at this time, normal because of the way Android handles the certs. It can be removed with root optionally but we can not do it on our end.

Thanks for the feedback,
I am very interested in this and have not seen this behavior before. We have attempted to replicate the issue but are unable. We currently do not have a Huawei P8 to test on but any more info on the phone would be greatly appreciated as well as steps to replicate. Replying with Android version, phone model, network you used (wifi or 4g, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the question,
If by like AdAway you mean both block ads then yes we are similar.
Where we differ is we do not require root to block the ads. This means we can not modify host files like AdAway does. Instead we block with and on-device VPN than filters all traffic through it and removes the ads before they are in your apps and browsers.
SEVENDev
EDIT: seems my colleague got to it first!
There's no steps to replicate. I installed the app through Amazone app store.
I just put the phone down and after some time I notice a notification which states that vpn is disconnected. I can see this notification on my laptop as I have Airdroid installed which mirrors all android notifications to the laptop. So far all notifications came in while on home wifi.
Huawei P8 GRA-L09 android 5.0.1 on wifi. Haven't seen it happen yet while using 4g.
Vpn disconnects with screen off. And I meant adguard which uses the same vpn principle as adclear but their vpn doesn't keep shutting down. Which is why I've reverted to using it instead of adclear.

Our ticketing server is down right now, but we do know we've had issues with a Huawei phone running on 5.0.1 and its being worked on. We could possibly have a fix in our next update. I'll update you further when that server comes back online.

That's unfortunate. Could you give us your os version?
One thing you can try is to uninstall adclear and delete the certificate (if you installed it), then reboot and install again. I'm not sure if you tried to install multiple times, but that sometimes causes issues with the VPN.
Edit: Also, did this happen on wifi or lte/4g?

Nougat Beta Thoughts & Issues

The other Beta thread is a little crazy with everything, and there is not much regarding the title of this thread any way.
Anyway, so far, I REALLY dig 7! I love the changes to the UI and such, and where Samsung went with it overall. I haven't seen stock 7.0/7.1, so I cannot say how close to stock they kept it, but I hear it's even closer than before. That, I think it awesome.
Everything seems snappier, and the way things open and close is pretty slick. The new color scheme is nice too. A LOT less 4 year old than I've come to expect from Android lately.
Battery life for me is pretty much the same. I'm getting from 4-5am to 10pm with still 40-50% left.
New menus, dropdown, etc. are nice too. The app drawer is SOOOO much better now that you sort it alphabetically once, and it stays that way, instead of every time you install a new app, or one updates, it would put whatever app at the very end.
However, after a couple days of zero issues, I'm starting to have some.
Notifications will not swipe away sometimes. Generally it might take several attempts to swipe away, but sometimes they just won't unless I unlock and do it again. Fairly annoying.
Changing permissions in app manager sometimes causes Settings to force close. Not a big one there since I can change permissions elsewhere.
The cache fills up more quickly and the phone starts to lag after just a couple days. I wipe cache and whatever about once a week and reboot the phone, now I am doing so every 2-3 days it seems. No biggie there, I realize this is beta.
That's it for now. Your turn.
I find the 7.0 beta fast & smooth. Battery life has doubled for me. I used to have to get a charge around 7-8 hours of use. I'm now getting 12 hours between charges.
I like the UI except for the notifications. The large, white background is ugly.
I've noticed that wireless fast charging doesn't always work. Sometimes it says it's charging but when I pick up the phone the battery hasn't charged.

- Settings: Editing up to 9 Settings shortcuts, only shows 8 for me but trying to select another for a 9th errors stating one is already there. It was due to having Battery as a shortcut before, but now in the beta this is under Device Maintenance. Reported as a Bug. EDIT: Clearing cache/data on Settings removes all shortcuts at the top of the Settings app, and you can re-add what you like again, and fixes my issue mentioned above.
- Galaxy Apps Store: Missing, but can access via Galaxy Essentials Widget or Samsung Gear, also reported as Bug.
I would encourage anyone who has registered and taken the beta to file any Bugs or Suggestions in the app Samsung Members. If you flashed the beta with Odin and didn't officially register, you may not see this app and cannot provide feedback. Samsung did reply to both of my above Bug reports, stating that they were aware of them and will fix them in the next beta release. They are looking and reviewing those, so I encourage everyone who's having an issue to report it, be thorough and explain how to reproduce your issue, provide screenshots if applicable.
Don't be that person who just files a Bug or Suggestion with "It's not working FIX NAO" or "Add this feature or I'm never buying Samsung again!!11"...but I cannot stop you if you decide to do that.
Since installing the Beta, I'm quite happy.
1. Faster and smoother performance, does not start to lag
2. Better notifications system
3. Can turn off the hated Bluetooth volume warning/limit
4. Zero issues so far with normal use
Only downside so far is loss of Foxfi tethering.
Only odd issue is that my phone System Update in Settings doesn't recognize that the phone has been updated to the Beta version. Still says I'm on PH1 build from September.

I followed the instructions in the other thread's first post and successfully installed the Beta. Now my phone is randomly restarting every couple of minutes....oh jeeze. Unusable, hoping I can figure out what's wrong, or roll back...
Edit: Maybe related to Samsung bloat I disabled with package disabler? Can't get package disabler to work
Double-Edit: Things seem good after a factory restart.
Feedback : Don't user package disabler with this. Hope this helps someone.

I'm using EZ Disabler and it works fine for me.
For those whos galaxy apps store icon disappeared, I had that too, I think its a bug in the upgrade, because I did a factory reset and the icon came back. All the issues I had went away too. Very Very impressed by this beta.

I am having two issues:
1. My accessibility settings get reset each time I reboot my phone.
2. When I click on the gallery icon in the camera app, it says there are no pictures. It's saving all the images as an album. Not sure if this is a setting but I can't locate it.
Does anyone know where to report these issues if we are on the official beta?

Same here. I use LastPass and the app filling service (uses the accessibility framework) gets disabled on each reboot. I reported it to the app maker as well just in case it's an Android 7 framework change and not a beta issue.

yeah, not bothering to wipe until things proceed a little further, waiting to see what happens when the next build is released.

I did the update .. once the update was installed .. did a full factory reset.
So far so good .. UI is fluid/smooth .. have had no problems with making or receiving calls, sending and receiving messages (SMS and MMS) .. Applications (which I have a lot of) are doing good with only 1 hiccup and that was with executing Facebook. The application would immediately crash. Now, I also use Messenger and Words with Friends (tied into my Facebook) .. so I tried Words with Friends first, was able to log in using my Facebook credentials no problem. Next, Messenger.. because I used the same credentials with Word with Friends, Messenger automatically logged me in using the same. So since both those worked, I tried Facebook again .. success, didn't need to log in and it when straight to the page.
Only other issue I have noticed .. my WiFi will disconnect spontaneously, even though I'm within 10 feet of it. It would also lose it's credentials (WEP info) .. so I need to re-enter to get connected.

I actually tried this and it said my device wasn't registered and wouldn't allow me to give any feedback. For those that are though, please please use that app to tell Samsung what bugs or issues you come across. Posting them everywhere else won't get them fixed.
Thanks to all who are putting in their input and testing Nougat to its limit. This is a rock solid beta so far.
I like it so far, just wish there was a root.
I'm getting a significant bump in battery life. I attribute it to the improved doze mode in 7.0. The blue light filter is something that is more useful to me than Samsung Pay!

Absolutely love the 7.0 beta so far. Everything is much smoother than marshmallow and the animations are a lot more appealing. You can tell that Samsung didn't intrude very much into the stock 7.0 look.
I'm constantly finding little tweaks that make me go "woah", such as the display resolution customization and in-depth battery saver settings. I also just found out that if you click the wording "Flashlight" in your notification draw it allows you to change the brightness. A small feature but I find it extremely useful.
Other than that I'm just genuinely impressed at the performance boost and battery savings this beta has brought with it.
10/10
Also, if you want a more stock look download the theme "Material Dark".

Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra Global / Custom Rom Development

I know this device is currently only available in China and not planned for a global release. I had one imported and I have been getting my feet wet with development. How hard is it to extract the kernel and driver blobs from the Chinese Rom and create a Global Rom or Custom Rom? I know I'm asking a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question here. It's because I don't know what I don't know. I figured I just get the conversation started here in-case anyone else has more input / experience on this subject. As this device isn't too much different than the Mi 10 / 10 Pro models, I've been trying to retrace the footsteps of the development on these devices.
The latest Chinese MIUI 12 Rom for Mi 10 Ultra:
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.7.0....JCNXM_20200813.0000.00_10.0_cn_2513f349af.tgz
I can see the boot.img and recover.img files within. I know you can extract the kernel from the boot.img file but I'm not great with a hex editor / binary splitter.
There is a thread over on xiaomi.eu discussing the possibility of a Mi 10 Ultra Global Rom from them:

I'm with you on this, looking for alternative English rom and the possibility of being able to enable band 20 in the radio chip. I'm sure this has been software disabled, you just wouldn't make a separate chip with no Band 20, it's much cheaper to use a stock chip.
Going to apply for bootloader unlock today, as it looks like there is a waiting period. Done my back ups yesterday, so hopefully bootloader unlocked soon, then wait for twrp and root. I'm no coder but happy to help if I can be of any help.
Developer Options has OEM unlock and the method to use the Mi Unlock Tool to start the waiting period. So the process seems the same as for any other Mi phone I guess I will be starting that off too this weekend!

This makes sense... I don't "know" if it's true but I've definitely seen before this attempted in custom ROMS: stuff like changing the modem config, software solutions. And it is the sister phone to the main Mi 10 line, which does come in Global. So... Here's hoping!
This is pretty interesting. Here in Spain the Band 20 is the only one we're missing, and it would be wonderful if it can be activated.
It would be the perfect phone if it wasn't for this and for the red tint on some 4K videos.
There's a thread on xda about unlocking the band frequencies on qualcomm devices. If anyone could try it would appreciate a lot. :fingers-crossed:

I too am very interested in seeing if it's possible to get band 20 enabled, that would be awesome. I've looked for threads on this subject, there is one in particular that has a lot of information on it, right here. It seems that a lot of people active different bands in the LTE config file, check with an app that looks at the config file but don't actually check to see if the modem installed in the phone supports those bands and lets the phone connect to them. So I'm cautious, looks to me some people here report false-positives.
Please keep us posted, a combined effort here might shed more light on the possibilities and ways to get there.
EDIT: The phone has the Qualcomm X55 5G modem (source), which does just about every band on 2G, 3G and 4G according to several sites (example). So hardware-wise we might be good.
Defo. I'm keeping a cross several forums but as it's so new, there's not too much happening yet. Shame it's only China that it's released in or there would much quicker work. edit, after having a good read of the articles and posts, flashing or changing modem settings looks promising to open up the closed bands. As others have done this, at least there is some hope. First thing is to get this rooted. Another few days to get this done but I am looking for root, twrp and magisk info for this one.
There's a Telegram Group for Mi 10 that will be used also for Ultra
Maybe there will be more infos there, maybe a unified build

Whats this about? Is this the only option to unlock the phone? I am new to Xiaomi having been a Samsung Note user from day 1, and don't understand this process ....
Is there another option for those who are willing to wait? or is this the only way to unlock the phone? I have tried to stay clear of signing up for anything on this device. I get pop-ups often on this phone. An example is in Settings -> VPN. I have my own paid VPN service, yet there is no way to set anything. Press VPN in Settings and I get "Set Lock Screen Password - Set a lock screen password to save your VPN settings" why? I've never had to do this for any device in the past. I don't do passwords, thumb scan, face reco or any of those things. Yet this is the only option? Its terribly intrusive that MY password MUST be stored on the device for MY VPN service, with no other option.
Is this the case with unlocking? No other option?
Thx.

You REALLY should have worked out some of your scenarios before you got the phone. For me and a lot of other people here I guess, the obvious thing to do is see the phone itself now as a temporary project which you will eventually customise to your liking.
Example now, this morning, I've flashed Xiaomi.eu's ROM instead of the stock Chinese image. And you've not even started the unlock countdown yet and had it as long as me? Trust me, nobody posts things "the hard way", if there was another method I'd have mentioned it.
Please take this as friendly advice: you really don't seem like you like your phone. That's OK, anything positive I've said about the Mi 10 Ultra has been with one eye on the future. MIUI is... I can work with it, but I'm looking to wave it goodbye, yknow?
IMO What you WANT to be doing with this is yes, doing the Mi Unlock service TODAY - and next week, several of us will already have had a week in a xiaomi.eu rom. Plenty of us want as close to stock android as possible!
So, with respect, I see you're having issues now, but get on the boat already - start that unlock countdown, and start dreaming of what can be changed about your phone. Much of what you're unhappy about here is strictly software.

You mean like you quoted mine with everything but custom ROM development?
A custom ROM would solve all your problems. But yeah, if I'm the bad guy for saying "the best thing you can do for your phone today is start the unlock process" then I can live with who I am.
But if you have a ton of complaints, list them in a reply to me I get a notification about, then you can't wonder why I respond. I thought you relied on notification features yourself?
Similarly, I am also looking forward to custom ROMs (for example, rehabilitation Remix / PE / havoc). I am a Chinese user, and I hope that God can make native ROMs as soon as possible

Question Is it worth trying to root my Z Flip 3?

Hello good people of this forum
About a month ago I finally picked up myself a Z Flip 3 and I want to root it. The only issue is I'm scared of the risks and downsides of it. What are the chances I completely brick my phone when trying to root? Is rooting on Samsung especially hard compared to Google? How durable is the Z Flip 3 in general? Because considering rooting will void my warranty, if it breaks I'll be out of a phone and $900. Is it overall worth taking these risks with my phone are am I better off not trying?
Thank you!
You got money to burn?
If not I would leave it be...
In 15 or so years of rooting and probably more than a dozen phones I've only ever had one phone go back for repairs (S8+) for a new charging port under warranty without any problems being rooted, they even replaced the screen free of charge! so I'm not too concerned about warranties.
It's next to impossible to truly brick a phone, odin won't let you flash something you shouldn't be flashing. Rooting is done via Magisk and it's a piece of cake to do.

Stock is perfectly functional once optimized.
Rooted is not. Depends what you want but if anything goes south the warranty is gone. Trade in value is too... no Knox.
Not the Z Flip 3. What would you do that for?

I actually use AdGuard. There's a free version and it's for non-rooted devices. I don't believe I've seen an ad on my device since I installed it.
I use to root every phone I bought as soon as a root method came out for it. I was rooting, unrooting, factory resetting, installing/uninstalling custom ROMs and recovery systems, doing back-ups and restores, phone set-ups (when the restore process didn't work properly), etc.. all the while losing some of the phone's original functionality. It got to the point where the amount of time I was spending customizing my phone (especially installing/uninstalling the never-ending variations of custom ROMs) was no longer worth the benefit. I was losing data, memory cards getting erased, etc.. It was frustrating. Plus you void the phone's warranty. A void warranty is not a problem unless you need to exercise it. Then you have regrets.
The Android OS has come a long way since then allowing a lot more user customization. Plus, there are more apps available now that allow you to further customize your phone without rooting it so you don't lose any of the phone's original functionality. Good Lock is one example of a customization app. It does some customizations that, in the past, your device had to be rooted to get. I'm sure there's plenty of other apps out there that would do just about whatever you want without rooting the phone.
Even a lot of bloatware can now be frozen or uninstalled without the need to root the phone. So I gave up rooting/customized ROMs and got back my time and sanity (lol). I haven't rooted a device in years and I don't miss it at all. I personally refuse to go back into that arena. But that's my experience. Others may have a totally different experience with it and get a lot more benefit out of it.

Yeap. Works on installed apps and blacklisted sites in the browsers. Pretty cool.
On my N10+ running on Android 9 haven't had any malware breaches in about 2 years. This seems to help. Rarely interferes with usage.
Easy to disable if needed.

Wow. I'm gonna give it a try. I currently see no ads using the AdGurad app. If I continue to see no adds using the private DNS method and nothing else is adversely affected, I'll uninstall the AdGuard app. I'm using the free version so I'm not getting any additional features other than the free version comes with the ability to block trackers (not sure if using the private DNS method also blocks trackers). Thanks for the info.
Further bolsters the argument against needing to root...

A Samsung that isn't optimized is a mess, but rooting it will open a whole new can of worms.
I use Package Disabler, Karma Firmware (fully functional on Android 9) and that DNS setting.
That's it. The rest is just choosing apps wisely and settings optimization. No globally power management is active. Google play Services is kept disabled unless needed. OTA updates are always blocked.
The configuration of my other N10+ running on Android 10 is almost identical.
The load on the Android 9 variant will be 2 yo in June, still fast and stable with minimal maintenance. This is what a stock Android is capable of if you optimize it and don't keep screwing it up with upgrades/updates once its running well... and fulfilling its mission. My oldest app version is WPS office. It's over 5 yo, it's firewall blocked, is free and runs well. It runs on both variants.
Rather than the constant learning curves and fighting that upgrades, updates bring... use it!
I see many that gave up on rooting. I'm with you idk if I would ever root this phone

You can run into issues using adguards DNS(I had issues with websites loading and certain restaurant apps) so I still suggest blockada or an app that's either VPN based and free or pay for a real VPN with an ad blocker
With the app if you have connectivity issues, with an app you can enable split tunneling and have that app bypass your ad blocker, it also allows you to turn off the ad blocker on the quick setting

It rarely causes issues if it does I temporarily switch back to the automatic DNS option.
Most times I ignore the few sites like double click that are giving me problems.

Rooted mine. Debloated the heck out of it. Battery lasts between 1.5 and 2 days now. Added an extra Atmos audio mod with Magisk, and now it sounds so much better.

Question Non Rooted Pixel 7 Pro

Okay Ive had some time using this phone and came to a conclusion, I don't need root on this phone.
Now of course root gives us the power but I have found some applications and a few workarounds to get the best overall performance on this Pixel 7 Pro.
1.Shizuku apk.
This app is sorta like a su app with of course no system level privileges.
(I use this app for ,Better Internet Tiles,
Carrier Vanity Name and Dar Q ..)
2.Package Disabler apk.
This app can debloat most apps.
3.System UI Turner apk.
This app can enable and disable hidden features within the ROM.
4. My new favorite non rooted app that can lock the CPU frequencies.
Max All CPU (non root) apk.
This app actually works which shocked me.!!
5.Adguard apk.
So basically having a pixel device has been the same experience as my rooted devices running pixel experience roms.
Of course better screen (AMOLED) wireless charging and IP68 rating etc...
In a nut shell one can enjoy this device without root.
Please list applications or adb commands or anything that can improve the overall performance of the pixel without root..
Thanks..

What you're asking is nearly impossible. You can disable some apps, but installing more will just slow down your device. There are no ADB commands that will "improve performance" either.

I can't speak to ADB commands (I doubt there's any, i figure OP's asking for "special commands" that gain some special access to change a particular setting), I think what OP is going for is methods/apps like Greenify -- which is debatable because, as I understand it, Android OS does a whole caching or keeping apps in a low background state as to not use up more power & resources to start them back up again; I only ever seen it discussed when users discuss the merits of "closing all apps" (also discussed on iphones) and/or how it is different than "closing programs" in Windows (this might've been a different case on older versions of Android [as I recall finding it necessary to do such methods on my Motorola Droids {1,3,4}])...
But agreed, without root access, what can be done is so limiting that it's hardly going to make a noticeable difference. if anything, one must trust Android OS developers that they're making the most out of resources ("under the hood") and not wasting them...

i used the browser to check my emails and the preinstalled google calendar requires a sign in just to see the calendar month i don't like that i use another calendar app..
4ADatabase setedit mod that has my pixel 7 pro flying and with no overheating.
Running this mod on android 14 beta 3.1..
I saw this mod in a thread somewhere that works without root just the app.
My cpu clock speeds are now stable and don't fluctuate like I'm used to on a rooted phone that i would max out my cores for best performance
.
See my pics.. This phone really needs no root or custom rom
..I need all my banking apps , hold for me and all stock pixel exclusives...
Happy modding without root..

I really appreciate your informations. Anyway the way you tell everbody "you dont need root" is patronizing. People root for many reasons. And its a lot easier to play around with mods if you have root. I never had problems with root since the first Android Phone.

No noticeable difference.. I spent 3 hours on calls, took some video shots, watched about 1 hour of YouTube, used Android Auto and maps while driving down the coast for about an hour.
Came home about 6 hours later still had %65 left in the can.... Battery life has always been good even on A13..

Patronising. lol
I guess one only reads and gravitates to one subject.
I've been rooting, building, baking roms ,flashing etc..since 2009.. This phone is the only phone that I've owned that I've never rooted ..I repeat 14 years of android modding and this phone makes me not want to root it ..
Why does that bother you?
Don't answer I know why..
Lastly, Those of us who are enlighten know something.
Ill throw one bone for your everyone roots for various reasons post
Theres 5 main factors why one roots per national surveys and repetitions.
1.Bloatware/crapware removal
2.Modders/Devs love to tinker and are just enthusiast..(Love That)
3.Google haters. (Micro G lovers) Some hate the Google advertisement practices, Google is an advertisment company remember that part.
4.Hackers, enough said on that..
5.Ability to customize there device to ones own liking..
Many more but you know that already..
So what have we learned today class?

"Why does that bother you?" Nothing you mentioned above bothers me, its your attitude.
"Lastly, Those of us who are enlighten know something." -> Attitude
"So what have we learned today class? " That i am right about you and your attitude.
And yes this is highly subjective and just like your tips about not rooting you maybe take a thing out of my critics.
You should put a tutorial together for the devices that are bootloader locked or just do not want to root. Good information here
Enabled (VONR ) Voice Over New Radio=5G
I've read many pixel users say that phone reception is not that good.
Being on Verizon wireless towers i have no dropped calls and calls are super clear with the clear calling option enabled in settings.
This app( pixelIMS.apk ) enables VOLTE, VONR,apn option to add can be enabled although its blocked on spectrum so i still cant edit my apns..and a few other features.
Give credits to the developer of this app on GitHub..
App requires shikuku or root..
NFC works on Beta 14 _3.1
Tested it on a train and made a google pay purchase at the store. Even worked with my bulky case on.
