Does anyone know where I can get the latest GT-N8010 update for the UK or similar?
I'm rooted with CWM6. I assume I'll have to un-root my device and then inject the ROM with Odin, too?
Try sammobile. They have the latest official firmwares which you can flash with odin.

I tried that, the most up to date ones are Germany and Taiwan. Their UK one is actually a shop stock, ironically enough.

Am planning on flashing ALI 3 tomorrow. If you look at the German one I think it has a UK CSC. Sam mobile is what I am looking at.

Yeah, I actually noticed that! I injected the ROM last night. Turns out that the S-Note is gubbed for PDF's. I had such good luck with it before, as well.

Have just upgraded to ALI3 with mobile odin. Very easy.
Not sure which part of snote is not working for you? Have done a pdf export and all seems ok to me.

I've got the n8010 in the uk. I've never flashed another rom or rooted yet and there is not update available for my device via ota or kies, so im guessing there is no update officially yet.

The updates official. It was downloaded from sammobile. It's just that Samsung always tend to take a lot of time before actually releasing updates. They're special like that.
Try this, works fine N8010-XXALI3-XAALI3-DBT-deodexed

Modem + NON-HILOS
Extract rar/zip file
Flash with Odin. You may need to flash it twice.
Enjoy.

Apparently this version of the firmware was released for Telus/Koodo/Bell/Virgin on Sept 29 per SamMobile. I would assume that a Rogers version should be release shortly.
I have a Telus I337M but waiting for some feedback prior to flashing. I am currently on VLUFNE1 bootloader running UMUFNI1 modem.
Yes, I'm on NI1 as well, thanks

The modem definitely works with Rogers.
The NI2 rom has all Canadian GSM carriers and quite a few more carriers. By default it flashes Bell. I tried Telus and then stick with Fido.

Working well, no improvements compared to UMUFNI1 or UMUFNE3. The dBm readings are about the same, but at least this is the official Canadian modem.

if not better is it stable-er?
Im on a 337m that I picked up used and was on ne1.
So anyway I gave it a few days on stock- cell n data worked fine. Im actually getting up to 15 mbps on wind, wow. Tried goldfinger rom by ibastid and great but lacking some stuff I was used to like the tw refusing to rotate. Tried hyperdrive and wow feature rich. but I lose signal every now n then or upon a reboot. Like randomly once a day or so, toggling flight mode gets it back instantly. But modem issue yall think? Dont know if there is something I can tweak in ktoonzez
Loosing signal every so often, that's because your on wind network. I used to be o. Wind network as well and had this issue. Went away after switching to Rogers.
Rogers/Fido firmware was also updated last night. Basically they are all the same, though.

Can not enable WiFi
I have rooted Fido Samsung Galaxy S4. Today I have updated it to NI2 firmware using Kies3.
When update finished, my modem was still showing NE1 and WiFi did not work.
I flashed NI2 model file (from the first post) using Odin.
Now both Firmware and baseband version show NI2, however WiFi is still disabled and I can not get it to work.
Already tried to to reflash NI2 modem with Odin for a few times, but it does not solve the problem.
Could someone please help me to solve this issue ?
Thanks!
Why would u update using kies?

I had the same problem after upgrade. Here is what I did.
Odin the full rom. Downgrade modem following the website:
http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2014/09/To...-and-Note3-Android-4.4.2-NF-or-Later.html?m=1
Root phone with TowelRoot. Install SuperSu and twrp recovery. Odin back NI2 modem. Install a customized kernel. I tested Adam and Alucard working on wifi.
Note: you will probably have to turn off Smart Connect to keep wifi staying. Try it first before you start to Odin the stock firmware.
Good luck.

All I've read online is that Google Play Services have been updated. And this Play Services update really does a number on the battery life. I haven't installed it yet, can't seem to find much info about this update.
I have flashed the Beta of Nougat for Samsung S7 (Edge) via Odin. It was the leaked Nougat Beta. In the last days there was a small OTA Update for this Beta (only fixed some Facebook App crashes).
I have not gotten this OTA Update
I am wondering if others have received this OTA update (and match the things below) ?
- NOT part of the official Samsung Beta program
- flashed via Odin

You won't get the OTA if not in beta program I was running it on S7 fb closed once then worked fine for me . You will need to wait for some one to upload new beta build or do what I did return to mm and wait [emoji13]
Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Damn. :silly: I kind of hoped for OTA since it is an official Beta Build. I don't want to go back to MM since N is so much nicer :crying:
(I do not really care for the FB Bug, but rather just getting updates via OTA so this was a good Test to see if OTA Updates are coming through)
Yr same" I found battery life not as good as on mm and camera grainy still work to be done but yes looks good I may re flash if new build up loaded

I read somewhere that a new bigger beta update with new features is being prepared. Let's hope we can grab that one somewhere.
Would be nice

I just hope that whatever build comes next can be installed (with ODIN) without having to setup the whole device again. With this first beta I had to do a clean install since all my data was wiped. Oh well only time will tell now. :cyclops:
First time I flashed I only selected AP file in odin it did not wipe just updated but kept getting ims error pop up was not usable didn't realise had to flash all 4 files . Not had a Samsung in long time forgot how to use odin lol

Don't think so you have to flash all files regardless of what region file using

Mine is a german (unlocked) S7 Edge and I flashed all four files. Just be aware when you do flash all four files you WILL have all data wiped and must do a clean install.

Same here in The Czech Republic . But smart people used VPN connection .
I have recently bought an O2 branded S7. O2 have unlocked it for me and I am now using it on the Three network.
It seems fairly straightforward to upgrade to Nougat using Odin 3. I would like to use the stock BTU firmware.
Are there any downsides to this? Will the phone receive OTA updates in future including security patche
Any advice much appreciated before I proceed with fingers crossed!
Just wait , Samsung released another Beta because they had problems with the official update
That sounds like good advice. Thank you.

I am late to join galaxy s7, just recently got one on eBay. UK Vodafone locked. I had it unlocked couple of days ago. Expecting it to receive nougat ota. But nothing has happened yet. When will I get that? I want to try out nougat then decide whether to root.
Removing the network lock won't have any affect on which firmware your phone has, only that you can now use it on any network & so as is you would be waiting for Vodafone to release a VOD version of Nougat.
AFAIK There is only a BTU/Samsung generic version of Nougat available in the UK on the S7 right now so if you wanted it sooner you could flash to BTU.

Does flashing to a different rom, albeit a factory one, void warranty, trip knox or stop OTA updates? I recently bought a Galaxy S7 with Vodafone Spain (ATL) firmware (i don't live in Spain btw, I bought it from a store) and I'd like to flash the unlocked UK rom (BTU), so I can get Nougat, but i don't want to void my warranty.

XEU & BTU seem to both be the same but they have different CSCs which would explain why you're not getting the update as it's not out for XEU yet.

Flashing a stock ROM eg from SamMobile won't trip Knox. Only customs ROMs & rooting do that. OTA updates should work fine if the right flashing procedure is followed.

Thanks a lot, I was getting frustrated because I don't want my firmware to have anything to do with any carrier. Do you happen to know if there is a chance that Samsung's service can see that the BTU CSC is not the phone's original CSC and decline a warranty claim?

You could run into problems there if you needed to send the phone in for repair if the firmware is checked by the retailer or whoever they send their phones off for repair to. Personally would just flash it back to the original CSC before sending it off. Both CSCs would need to be on the same Android version though as from what I remember reading flashing an Android downgrade can brick your phone. I did read elsewhere someone managed to flash back to Marshmallow from Nougat as VoLTE wasn't working in Nougat as it turned out both were using the same boat loader but that's the only case like that I recall.
From experience Samsung's Smartswitch software doesn't look your phone up to establish which firmware it should have. It just goes on the current CSC if you were eg. to do an emergency firmware initialisation.
