Are you asking about un-rooting?
Or just resetting to stock?

As to question #1, no, there should be no issues w/ activation. All the buyer has to do is put his or her SIM card in, and the phone should activate as normal. I say this because I purchased a used S3, and that's all I had to do to activate it.
As to your second question, would a factory reset address your concern regarding your information? I would even consider factory resetting both within the OS and in your custom recovery (whether clockwork mod or TWRP), AND re-flashing a zip of your stock image.
Hey guys I have got a question for you. I want to buy a new phone and I saw this HTC butterfly. But the battery is not removable and I think I gonna flash a ROM on it. But if I brick my device I can't power off it by removing the battery. My question is how can I repair my phone if I brick it. And I am used the search button, and the guys said there's only one way to fix it and this is the fastboot. But I am a Sony user and there is flash mode on this phone too?
On non removable batteries HTC, stay push on the power button do the same thing as remove and re-install the battery.
It restarts and you can enter bootloader mode
This is working if I got bootloop? And with the HTC phones I can just simply unlock my boot loader, not like with the Sony phones? And with the HTC phones there aren't sim card lock or something?
Backup

Follow the threads in the Android Development and Flash Recovery. Read the instructions carefully on how to ROOT your phone.
Then do a Nandroid Backup. Again follow instructions.
I soft-bricked my phone while installing a ROM but recovered from a Nandroid Backup.
ALWAYS read and follow the instructions!!
Cheers

Good luck.
Hello XDA,
My G3 got into a bootloop and I finally resorted to flashing stock ROM in order to get the phone back again. My internal memory has been wiped. Is there any way I could recover the data without complicated procedures? I saw one on XDA, and it is too complicated for my level of tech understanding. I would sell my soul if I could, to recover the data.
A million thanks.
Hi all does anyone have a backup stock or mode of the Nextbook Ares 11a android mine is bricked and I want to just get it working again, I can get to fastboot and it's showing secure boot-disabled/lock state unlocked at this point, I'm thinking the system partition is trashed not really sure, I'd even go for windows OS at this point. Nextbook support is a waste of time and just got the run around with them wanting me to send it back at a cost of $70 I only paid $150 new for it and can't justifie that cost. I'm hoping to find a way to reflash the OS and give that instruction to other's having the same problem. at this point I'm willing to try anything as it's already jacked up and makes a great 11.6" serving tray.
Thanks ahead for any help you may have.
