We currently live in U.S. (with T-Mobile as the provider) but will be relocating to The Philippines for 2 years.
Bouncing back and forth between U.S.A. T-Mobile and Philippines, which unlocked version should I buy? Amazon has an International version and a GSM version.
I know both versions should work in the Philippines (which is all GSM)
I'm leaning towards the Int'l Version, because it's Quad Core and the other one is Dual Core... Is that a good basis to make the decision?
EDIT: I'm not worried about the lack of 3G in U.S.A. T-Mobile, because I expect them to have it deployed in our area by the time we move back from the Philippines.
Hi,
I want to buy an S7 from Amazon.com that works in all Europe (I am for a while in USA, but I live in Europe), but from what I see not all versions are Dual Sim. Nevertheless, the Dual Sim I found was for Asia/Africa and not for Europe.
I would greatly appreciate some help in order to make sure I order the right version. It's quite confusing with all the Asian regions and dual/single sim version
The 930FD version (iT's The international Model) work fine in Europe. It's the model with Exymos cpu.
It probably will work fine in the US too but not on all networks
it will work if it is a international version

On amazon is shows up as Samsung Galaxy S7 Dual Sim Factory Unlocked Phone 32 GB - Internationally Sourced (Middle East/Afican/Asia) Version G930FD Dual Sim- Black Oynx.
This is what confuses me. It says INTERNATIONALLY SOURCED but it spacifies only Africa/Asia

I think that Middle East/Africa/Asia are the regions where is sold officially.
Anyway, you won't have problems in any country with the Dual SIM version.

Hi guys, I have dual sim.international model too (G930FD) and my biggest problem is that it just have two modes on camera: Automatic and Panoramic. Why can not find slow motion mode, pro mode and all the rest?? Is the same for you or is it just me missing some settings??
Any suggestions please??
I see that converting a single sim G930F to dual sim has be asked and confirmed not possible, just wondering if the canadian model - G930w8 can be converted to Dual sim, as it shares the same Exynos CPU (and guessing hardware), by installing a G930FD ROM.
I just got my S7 so curious if we can convert, as we dont get dual sim model in canada.
No you only have one imei, you can buy the fd in canada though.

Actually At&t is the only American variant that doesn't receive updates without the At&t sim card. All other variants (T-mobile, Verizon, Sprint) seem fine to do so with the update without their respective sim cards outside the american jurisdiction. I have used an unlocked LG G4(At&t), Samsung note 4 (Tmobile), Samsung S3 (At&t) and now using Note 5 (Verizon) here in Pakistan because american variants are a little cheaper than the international models. I regularly received updates on Verizon and Tmobile despite not having the corresponding sim cards but never got one on the at&t variants. So this will be last time I use or buy unlocked AT&T branded devices from ebay or Amazon
So the reason for telling you all of this is to never invest into american variants specifically the at&t one. Good luck!
Anyone know if N20 Ultra will have dual SIM in States? I've searched but couldn't find anything solid on it.
ANy update fellas? Are they gonna release OTA to add eSIM functionality? I am regretting buying this 1300 bucks toy now.
I want to know this too, would pull the trigger right now but can't find it. Official site says there are single and dual sim models, but when you go to checkout doesn't say what you're getting!

Just chatted with support, FWIW, he said only the Global version has dual-sim, not the US version.

Well that's a bummer.. I guess it's going on swappa or offerup, still making money.
So the USA model won’t even be dual sim EG one physical sim and one e-sim? [emoji23]
Nope, yet Apple has had it for two years!
Dual sim= Sim+ eSim
Exynos
just like the s20 ultra it isnt clear at all. there does seem to exist a 'B' model and an 'F' model, some are dual sim, some are LTE only. its hard to find exactly the right one. In the Note 10 the 'F' model didnt have band 30. But on the LTE only s20 (no 5G) there is band 30. But on the 5G model there isnt band 30. Frustrating if you use AT&T
I think the dual sim model of the Note 20 ultra is sm-n986b. its not clear if its dual sim or sim plus e-sim.
The US models are historically NOT dual sim on nOte 10 and s20.
In Europe is dual sim = sim + sim or you can use sim + esim + SD card on ultra
If you look at the USA web site...

Thanks, do you have a link to that page? When I go to Note 20 Ultra specs on Samsung's site, it only shows carrier, color and memory.

That link is for "global" version and it says ESIM support is dependent on country/carrier. Samsung has disabled ESIM specifically for US for some odd reason. They promised S20 will have ESIM with a software update but that did not happen as of yet, we can only hope their $1500 flagship N20 Ultra supports this but as of now there is no mention of it.

Don't hold your breath!
Has anyone used one of the international Dual-SIM unlocked models recently? I'm guessing they still don't have the ability to do VOLTE and Wifi Calling because they don't have the US CSCs available. I have the US unlocked Note 10+ and appreciate how smooth the carrier swap process is, but like everyone else I'd prefer to just leave a couple of SIMs in at the same time.

It depends on the carrier, but you will get WiFi calling and VoLTE on US Tmobile if using Exynos dual sim model. It lacks the important bands though like band 66, band 71 and some 5G bands
From what Ive seen and reading - no Dual Sim in North America ( same like S20 ) -which means Physical + Esim, having just Esim means phone w/o a physical sim and thats it, but not work in conjuction
Users experience for S20

Anyone see this?

It acts like the regular Snapdragon version will support Dual Sim???? I won't be able to test it out until Monday so curious if anyone else has tried.
I have an ATT SD variant that lists 2 IMEIs on the box, however, it appears the eSim functionality has been disabled. there's another thread on the eSim where this is being discussed as well.
