Sixasis Controller does not work on Android Pie - General Questions and Answers

Hi.
I Just installed the ROM DeluxeROM v12 And I went to install the application Sixasis Controller and not connect it with my Dual Shock 4. I sent a few emails to the developer but I have not received an answer.
In Android Oreo If I work.

I don't have an answer but Android Pie now natively supports the Sony DS4 controller over USB and Bluetooth. You no longer need Sixaxis unless for some reason support wasn't added with your phone.
Also, Android Pie made a lot of security changes. Among them is blocking apps from simulating touches. Malware was doing this to steal from banking apps and likely a motivation for this change.

[Completed] Please help, I am looking for a certain app

Hi, i recently dual-booted my windows 7 laptop with Android 4.4 KitKat via (Android x86 Project, will post url after XDA allows me) and was wondering if there was an app that would allow me to use my keyboard to play android games, such as Minecraft PE and other apps with on-screen controls. I am basically looking for an app that will allow me to map my keyboard keys to certain points on the screen. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: The Android environment is rooted and also has XPosed Framework installed.
EDIT 2: I have done this with Tincore Keymapper, if a mod could close this that would be great
Great that you solved the problem.

[MOD][Xposed] Make Infrared Blaster working with 3rd party apps (on EUI)

Hi!
I've created an Xposed module for my LeEco Le Pro 3 phone, so that I can use the IR blaster not only with the included Remote control app from LeEco but with any other 3rd party infrared app from the Play Store which uses the standard Android ConsumerIR API (for example like RCoid).
XDA user @serc tested for me that it also works for the LeEco Le Max 2 (X820), so I thought I will leave a note also here in this forum (@admins: I hope this is ok).
You will find my related threads in the LePro 3 forum:
[MOD][Xposed] Make Infrared Blaster working with all 3rd party apps (on EUI)
[REF] How Infrared is (not) working on LePro3 - some infos for IR devs
The Xposed module is available via the Xposed Installer app, just search for "LeEco Infrared Fix" (or simply click this link on your phone).
Full source code is available at Github under GPL license: github.com/johnzweng/XposedLePro3Infrared
I confirm it is working with me.
I had to use the remote app that comes with the phone and giving it all the permissions first, then I could use 3rd Party apps.
I use Peel smart remote.
Thanks

Whithout any further infos I have no idea what could be the problem here. You could save the logcat (Android log file) like I explained here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70096764&postcount=37
In the resulting logfile we should see, if the module gets loaded and what happens when it tries to perform its "magic" (i.e. errors or other hints what doesn't work). Just search for lines with "LeEco_Infrared_Fix".
My X820 has small eUI by aurel and IR blaster was not recognized by AnyMote Smart Remote.
After installing this and restarting the phone AnyMote was still saying that there is no IR blaster on my phone but after closing and opening again the IR blaster was recognized and works as expected with my samsung TV!
Thank you androcheck!
When it installed on RR-N with official Xposed 88, device gets stuck on boot animation. Can you update this module to work on Nougat?
could you please update it to work with custom roms.
Just tested it with eui 19s (Indian).
Not working.
I just Got this phone Let's pro 3 AI x650 a few days ago and I discovered that the Infrared App Is missing, as a matter of fact there are no leEco apps on the phone. I have downloaded over 10 remote control apps and all failed to work, please I need help

Huawei Watch 2 as a standalone device

Hello.
Because i did not liked form factors of most mobile phones, i did not owned any for last 15 years. Recently i found out that certain smartwatches allow usage of SIM cards and can be used as a stand-alone phone.
So i gave it a try to use the watches without any phone.
Solutions
a) Old tablet on Wifi.
As watches require an activation via Wear OS app, this was easiest and fastest way how to get them work.
b) Virtual Box, with Android x86 image, and Bluetooth
This solution failed for me for probable reason that USB bluetooth i used was just 2.0, and i dont have newer one available. Anyone has an experience with this?
Virtualization would help me to manage the watches alone, without any other tablet or phone.
Current difficulties.
1. Activation of the watches.
2. New PW protected Wifi.
Can be solved with an app.
3. New contacts.
For each new contact (stored in Recent calls), i have to get to a PC and add the number to Google contacts, which get synced with the watches.
Can me recommend me set of apps to overcome those difficulties without rooting the watches?
Ok, I finally succeeded to pair my Virtual Box from Windows PC with my Huawei Watch 2.
1. You need a Bluetooth 4.0 on your PC.
I used this one Belking USB BT 4.0
2. Download and install Oracle Virtual Box.
I have version 5.2.
3. Download Android x86 7.1 ISO. - android-x86-7.1-r1.iso
4. Setup your virtual machine (CPUs, RAM, Storage)
5. Boot the ISO from virtual CD/DVD drive.
- Install the OS on virtual box
- set it up with your Google account.
- Install Google Wear
- Enable bluetooth in Virtual Box, and then in the Settings inside of Android OS.
To be sure it works, Bluetooth has to disappear from Windows.
Notes:
a) You have to reset watches to factory defaults, else it will be invisible over Bluetooth and you wont be able to pair them.
b) Only Android 7.1 worked with newest Google Wear app.
Older androids got stuck during pairing process.
Hope this helps.
so why do you even bother using a Wear os watch??!
the are many watches in the market with full android os or other usable operating systems on them that they dont necessarily need a phone to pair with because they are basically a phone!
All the models available here (Slovak republic) were:
a) Using eSIM which is not yet supported by the local GSM network providers.or did not used SIM at all.
And i need a phone number (first time over 15 years )
b) Were called "smart watches" but were incapable of more than taking data for "Fit" applications and had GPS.
So they did not had any communication capabilities at all.
c) Were using a proprietary, and thus limited OS
So everything available here was designed to be attached to phone or a tablet, or it it was a standalone device, it did not had phone capabilities.
What is available here is Samsung S3, Garmin watches (various), Apple Watch or Huawei watch 2. Most of the offer is at least 6-9 months old or older.
Also, and oddly... specs on most shops are missing a lot of data. The guy who was selling me the Huawei Watch 2 believed that the slot is for MicroSD card...

Forgot to quote last time "D. Reply is in my previous post.
Huawei Watch 2 after three months as standalone
Features which work on 4G/LTE
There can be a problem for some users, the watch need google account to make features work. The positive side is, that you can manage some of them - like the contact list - on a PC and phone is not mandatory.
Phone calls
SMS
Contact List is syncing with Google
(Watch allow to type in phone number manually even without contact list)
Translate
Google Assistant
System updates
Apps updates
App Store
Additional apps i tested:
Google Maps (Partially. Navigate feature attempt to pop up on a phone)
Video Tube (youtube app. switches between 4g/Wifi depending on available network).
Browser app, yet i dont recommend to use it, as there is no optimized content.
Features which work only on BT (and therefore need phone/tablet)
Those can be managed from google assistant (you can schedule an event), however update in Agenda app will not show up until Watches get connected to Phone/tablet via BT.
Calendar / Agenda
Reminder
Notifications from Google services (Google plus, Youtube).
Huawei fit app (some parts need phone)
There is also some features which allow watches to control apps on phone remotely. In most cases it has little to no added value (such as remote control for youtube viewer, or music player)
Apps which need GPS location, else not working properly
Weather
Certain Watchfaces which report weather forecast via Widgets.
Certain Watchfaces which display map on the background
I understand why Weather apps need location, but exactly same feature over Google Assistant has no problem with telling weather forecasts.
Now for Google Pay.
a) Configuring
You need phone/tablet/virtual machine with android.
You have to add card on the watch, enter the details on phone/virtual machine
Rest of the identity verification may differ, depending on your bank App. Its good to know that the app works on Virtual Machine in the advance.
Virtual machine or android tablet does not need to have NFC, but google pay installed on the device will alway attempt to complete the payment method - and later politely explaining it will not work. Its ok to have NFC just on watch.
b) Once configured, no Phone app is required for using.
The application will work independently on phone.
Therefore its a success, and but the results may wary depending on your banking phone app.

Bridge - new app for mirroring notifications across all your Android devices

I've been part of a closed beta user group helping on an app called Bridge which mirrors your notifications across all your Android devices.
They just rolled out in open beta limited to 5000 users and asked me as a senior member on XDA to assist in getting more users to help test during the beta.
Bridge not only mirrors but also let's you reply, like delete etc. Basically everything as the original notification on your other devices.
They've also implemented two-way sync meaning if you dismiss your notification on one device, it dismisses it on all your devices.
You can read more and download it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xitlabs.bridge
You can report suggestions & bugs directly through the app.
I've been using it for about a month on my tablet and smartwatch (KW88 running full Android 5.1) and it has been working pretty good.
Even though it still has some bugs here and there (which they hope you can help squash), I must say it is pretty convenient getting all my notifications on my watch and tablet.
Below I've copied the main points from their own Play Store listing
? Mirror your notifications to other Android devices
? Reply, Like, Delete etc. directly from another device
? Two-way sync - all your devices interact with each other
? Whitelist - control which apps that can mirror notifications
? Encryption - all data between devices can be encrypted
It offers 14 days trial and costs $1.99 to unlock for life.
The link directly to joining the beta is

Hello,
I would like to try this app, but I cannot install on my smartwatch, while on my phone installation and setup works fine. If I search the app through the play store of the watch it doesn't find it, and if I click on the link it open play store but then it says the app is non existent.
I have a Lemfo Lem8, it isn't compatible then?
Thank you

Ps4 remote play on rooted op7pro

Hello there, so this is a simple guide to get PS4 Remote Play working on Rooted phones.
Requirements:
1. A Phone with unlocked BL
2. Magisk
Steps:
Do not open remote play or any sony apps. If you do. Clear data. It remebers it's root check.
Navigate to Magisk Manager
Head to magisk hide and hide all sony apps, like PS store, messages, and remote pay.
Head to settings of the manager and choose Hide Magisk Manager, Rename it to something else. this is the only way I got the remote play to work.
After this I no longer received the error 800 whatever due to rooted device.
As a side note the ds4 control with magisk model for keylayout xml for ds4 does allow for full bluetooth pairing of ds4 control and works inside remote play. I know this was a issue in the past
If this helps you out remember the thanks button
