default screen when playing music - Samsung Gear S3

is there a way to have the default screen be the music player control screen when the watch wakes and music is playing? ive had this watch now for 17 months and its driving me nuts. I dont play music terribly often, maybe once a day for about an hour or so, but i had flashed android wear on my old gear 2 neo and it had that baked into the tarball. Anyone been able to get something like this working on the S3 Frontier or any of the S3 variants?

From what I've seen so far no. But there are multiple ways to get to the player. Watch face with shortcut to music, quick setting pull down "playing" green bars only shows when playing.. click that will take you to music, a permanent quick setting icon, or make a music widget be the first widget when you swipe left. Hope that helps

[Q] Using Pandora with a navigation app

Hello, this is the my first post on XDA - thanks for a great resource. Been searching and reading the forums for 6 months before needing to post my first questions so here it is.
I would like to pick your brains to see if you can figure out a solution to my problem. I use Waze or Navigation while in my car driving around town. I have my phone connected to my stereo via bluetooth and stream music with the Pandora app. While using a navigation app, Pandora is open streaming music in the background. Anytime I would like to see what track is playing I have to either swipe the notification tray down or swap to the Pandora app.
What I would like to be able to do is to see what song is currently playing in Pandora without having to touch my phone - leaving it in on the navigation app. Does anyone know if an app widget or combination of settings/modifications that would help me out?
Ideally, a popup notification that would stay on the screen for a short time at the beginning of the song is what I am looking for.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the help

[Q] Lock screen interface bug

Hello, I've noticed something with the Moto G (It may happen with other KK devices, but this is the only one I have to test) When I play a Netflix movie thru my phone to the chromecast on the TV, the Netflix lockscreen interface shows on my phone, as it should. But when I also turn on another app the uses the lockscreen interface, say Pandora radio, there is a conflict for what to play and what to display on the lockscreen. It happen frequently that I am playing a Netflix for a family member thru chromcast while running around the house or taking the dogs for a walk etc when I would also want to stream music from the phone. The phone will only play music for a couple of seconds then pauses. Also the lockscreen interface frequently switches between Netflix and Pandora. Does anyone know a way around this?
Don't know a way around it other than only running either netflix or pandora at one time, not both.
On a related note, I can't get the navigation (pause, play, fwd) controls on the pandora locksreen widget to work. Any ideas?

Musicplayer doesn't control smartphone anymore

I used my gear s2 to control my music on my LG G4 CM13.
Used BlackPlayer and Phonograph which worked great with the watch.
But suddenly I can't control my music anymore. No track skipping, no volume control, nothing.
It just show the tracks stored on the watch itself and want to connect to a bluetooth headset if I try to play any.
Have any of you the same problem? Maybe a solution?
I don't know if it's the last firmware update's fault or CM13 (I use nightlies and update nearly every week)

Open the music player app on the watch, then tap the three vertical dots on the right hand side of the circular screen. This should bring up a menu. Choose the watch icon and then it will allow you to change between playing music from your phone, or from the gear itself (it appears the latter is currently set up on your device).

Samsung Health / Spotify issue

Hey all,
I have had my gear sport for a week now but I'm having an issue with exercising using Samsung Health and listening to music using Spotify.
I have downloaded a playlist on Spotify to my gear sport and also have Spotify set to offline. I have also started the 5k run program on Samsung Health.
This has happened 4 times now and i hoping someone can help me fix the problem... I'm all ready for my run, have my bt headphone on and I start playing music through Spotify on my gear, all working so far. Then I open Samsung Health on my gear and go to the exercise screen and start my 5k journey. It all works fine, listening to music and doing the warm up but once the main workout starts the music just stops. This morning I managed to restart the music but about half way through the first song it stopped again. When i went back into spotify it still appeared as if it was playing, I could pause and restart the song but I was getting no audio.
Also note that Spotify does work fine when I'm not working out, just listening via my sport.
Really home someone can help me sort this out.
Thanks.
I get exactly the same issue, did you find a solution?
I too have this stupid issue.....

Running "Guide at Intervals" and Half Point Notification Mutes Spotify

Hello,
I have Spotify installed in my gear s3 and also have my guide at intervals enabled when running. Whenever i reach the half point and at the same time my interval, it will have a voice notification. However, after the voice notification, it kind of mutes the spotify. I noticed that spotify keeps on playing but there's no sound. I tested other sound like ringtones, etc and they are okay. I needed to reset the watch to be able to hear the music from spotify again.
It doesn't have any issues if it's only the interval playing. It only happens when i reach half point and interval at the same time.
Anybody has the same issue?
Thanks.
Even after 1 year the problem has not been solved. I am also facing it till date in INDIA on my Gear S3. Spotify or Samsung doesn't seem to care about it..
