[Q] Lock screen interface bug - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I've noticed something with the Moto G (It may happen with other KK devices, but this is the only one I have to test) When I play a Netflix movie thru my phone to the chromecast on the TV, the Netflix lockscreen interface shows on my phone, as it should. But when I also turn on another app the uses the lockscreen interface, say Pandora radio, there is a conflict for what to play and what to display on the lockscreen. It happen frequently that I am playing a Netflix for a family member thru chromcast while running around the house or taking the dogs for a walk etc when I would also want to stream music from the phone. The phone will only play music for a couple of seconds then pauses. Also the lockscreen interface frequently switches between Netflix and Pandora. Does anyone know a way around this?

Don't know a way around it other than only running either netflix or pandora at one time, not both.
On a related note, I can't get the navigation (pause, play, fwd) controls on the pandora locksreen widget to work. Any ideas?

Android's Pandora app bugs

I was happy to see that Pandora recently released an official app for Google Android. I love Pandora and have been using it on my PC and my old Windows Mobile phone for a while.
Since I've been using Pandora on Android I've noticed a strange bug. After playing a couple songs through Pandora, the stock Music app fires up on its own and starts playing over the top of Pandora. This is extrememly annoying! I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this problem and if so, has anyone found a solution.
The obvious solution is to switch to the music app and pause the song that is playing over the top of Pandora. However, this often locks up both apps requiring me to power off the phone to get Pandora to work again - then repeat this process over and over and over. Help!
This happens to me all the time, but I've not had the lock up problem. I usually listen on my headphones, and the button on the adapter piece pauses the Music app, so I don't have to switch around. Hope that helps.

Intermittent Lock Screen Media Controls

Reposting here, I accidentally posted this under the Note II.
Running Codename Android, and as the title says, sometimes the media playback controls show up on my lock screen and sometimes they don't. I haven't been able to figure out what causes them to show up.
Apps: Google Play Music, BeyondPod
BeyondPod uses the stock controls of google play, or appears to. When playing podcasts, the lock screen controls are there about 80% of the time (so far). Is this a common issue? Is there any fix? Or alternatively, is there any free solution which puts universal media controls on the lock screen?
I have looked around and found widget locker, etc but I prefer not to use that.

[Q] Using Pandora with a navigation app

Hello, this is the my first post on XDA - thanks for a great resource. Been searching and reading the forums for 6 months before needing to post my first questions so here it is.
I would like to pick your brains to see if you can figure out a solution to my problem. I use Waze or Navigation while in my car driving around town. I have my phone connected to my stereo via bluetooth and stream music with the Pandora app. While using a navigation app, Pandora is open streaming music in the background. Anytime I would like to see what track is playing I have to either swipe the notification tray down or swap to the Pandora app.
What I would like to be able to do is to see what song is currently playing in Pandora without having to touch my phone - leaving it in on the navigation app. Does anyone know if an app widget or combination of settings/modifications that would help me out?
Ideally, a popup notification that would stay on the screen for a short time at the beginning of the song is what I am looking for.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the help

[Q] Stop music playing when connecting to bluetooth

Hi,
Got a seriously annoying problem. Whenever my phone connects to bluetooth, which is usually in my car, it starts playing the last song I listened to by auto launching google play music and playing away. I don't know if I'm being blind but I can't find a setting to turn this off. Sometimes I might want to stream music in the car, but not automatically on connecting!
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Sorry to jump on this ages old thread, but I'm wondering this same thing. Google Play Music is the culprit, just like you, and it's also when I connect my phone to my car's bluetooth and I don't want it to automatically play. I didn't find any options within the app itself.
I had this issue before and I used ROM Toolbox Pro to turn off one of the autostart receivers for this app and that seemed to work, but I cannot remember which one it was or even how it would've become enabled again in the first place.
EDIT: I think one reason for this is any songs that might be in 'queue' inside the app. Like if you were playing from a playlist or something. Wipe the songs out of the queue (should just be able to swipe them away) and I think that should work.
I'm still looking for a bluetooth receiver I might be able to disable to not have to worry about it.
Interesting. I've always had to use third party options to MAKE the phone autostart music when connecting to bluetooth. As the above posts states there are no options in Play Music to turn this on or off. What ROM are you running? Is it possible your ROM, a third party app, or maybe even your head unit is causing this?

Audio Controls Gone

Within the past week the watch stopped displaying audio controls when I start playing media on my phone. I was always able to pause, skip, rewind with apps like Stitcher, Google Play Music, YouTube, Netflix and now those controls dont show up. I am still receiving notifications from seemingly all other apps. I uninstalled WearOS from my phone, factory reset the watch, confirmed these apps in question have notifications enabled in WearOS but still dont have those controls on the watch. Anyone else with this problem? Thanks for any thoughts.
Not quite the same but notifications for One Football stopped appearing on my HW2 even though they are not blocked.
Media controls currently working for me....I Use Black Player for music

same here. I use DoubleTwist... I'm afraid I may have to back to Google Play Music....
I uninstalled the Huawei Watch app and only use the Watch OS app from Google and all my audio controls are now working and controlled from my watch. Could be a conicedence but i had no media controls before uninstalling and my watch face constantly reverted to the stock watch face every 12 hours all seems to be have been resolved with this action.
1.7 Update fixed it I think
