Version 3.3.2
What's new:
- Partial redesign.
- You can now switch around the snooze/dismiss gestures in Settings if you find it easier to tap to dismiss instead of swiping up.

Version 3.3.5
What's new:
In this update we are releasing an in-app purchase for the Premium version of the app. The Premium version has no alarm limits and allows you to add as many alarms as you need.
We would like to thank all the existing users for choosing this alarm clock and are offering the Premium upgrade completely free until 26th May. To get the Premium version free, simply enter the promo code below when completing the purchase in the app.

Download:
- XDA Labs: https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.alarmstudio.alarmbow
- Google Play: https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.alarmstudio.alarmbow

There appears to be a problem with the way we set up the promo code posted above. Or rather we misunderstood the way Google Play promo codes work.
Sincere apologies to everyone who tried to use it. Chances are it failed with an error message stating “already used by someone else”.
We still want to offer the Premium upgrade for free to all the existing users. And if you would like to get it, simply drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll email you your personal promo code.
Sorry for the mess up

Version 3.3.9
What's new:
- Small improvement: You can now name/label alarms.

Hey mate! Thanks again for the promo code.
Gonna give you some feedback in return (Sorry I am little bit late on this, forgot I even have the app). Let's go:
1) Allow "weekdays" to be configurable. Lots of places in the world use Sunday as start of the week day and not Monday.
2) Make it so I can disable the wake up message.
3) Will be cool if instead of saying "Alarm will go off today" you will mention how much time is left till the alarm.
4) Shake to snooze/dismiss doesn't work outside of app screen.
5) Does each alarm has to be so big? I can only fit 3 without the need to scroll down.
6) Allow some basic theming options. Black and yellow is not everyones cup of tea.
7) Adding a label will make the text for alarm days dissappear. See attached pic.
8) label text color should have a different color in order to recognize it more easily.
That's it buddy, any more feedback and I will have to start charging you

Thanks a lot mate! More than enough for starters
Just few questions to help me understand it better:
2) You mean not to show the confirmation screen at all? Or to show the screen without the message?
5) What's the phone you have? I'll check its screen size and make sure bigger screens (like yours) fit more alarms.

Happy to help, mate.
Regarding 2 - I am talking about the option of removing the message screen completely. It is an unwanted second click (For me at least). When turning off the alarm I must face that message screen even though I did not write there anything - So I get an empty message that cannot be removed.
Regarding 5 - I have xiaomi mi mix. But it has nothing to do with my phone's screen. Even on the pictures on Google play, you only show 3 alarms. Try adding the 4th one and you will notice that the text for it cannot be seen unless we scroll down.
Have a nice day.

Regarding 2 - Got you. I know what I'll do. Won't show the screen if the message is set to blank/empty.
Regarding 5 - A bit confused. Attached is the original screenshot used to make the picture on Google Play. It fits 4 alarms nicely. The free version fits 4 alarms without any scrollbars, the premium version adds a bit of padding at the bottom to accommodate the add/plus button which forces the scrollbar to appear. I used the Google Clock app as a reference (also attached). Are you saying it would be better to have 5 alarms on the screen?
Many thanks once again!

Hey, looks like I was mistaken about 5 and I think I know why.
It looks like I got confused a little bit because I can still scroll down while not having anything there. It lead me to assume that in order to read the days of week or label for the last alarm clock I will need to scroll to bot.
I crossed checked with one of the screenshots I took back then and I did not had anything specific set for that alarm (Attaching pic for reference).
IMO, you should get rid of that scroll if it does nothing until the 5th alarm comes into play.
About the 5 clocks on a single screen - I think it will look better and feel better but my phone is big so you better test it on smaller phones as well to see if it still holds up even after changing to 5.
It also it might hurt your business plan, so it too, needs to be taken into consideration.
Good night buddy.

Aw man, I missed the premium version

Got you. Let me look into it along with other things you mentioned.

betatesters wanted :)

Hi, I have created a simple app that visualizes your SMS inbox as a cloud of words (size based on word usage) - currently I seek for few users with 2.2 device for beta tests. Please check Visual Words at Market (free) and report your experiences in this thread. Thanks for help!
PS. The app may behave strange depending on your SMS inbox size and content - if you see blank black screen only please try clicking the screen to change visualization settings (check on the app webpage for details).
Only Froyo is supported? Sounds like a fun app to toy with a little.
Niice idea , yeah i'll beta test if you want't
ill beta test too if you want. angeldelaguarda [at] gmail(dot)com
I installed and played around with the app. It has some entertaining possibilities. Some things I noticed..
(Nexus one running rooted eViL 1.15)
-Words are tiny.
Suggestion: Show words that are used the most, maybe even bigger words based on how often they occur. (Doesn't seem to do that at this point.)
-Some times it includes the (1/3) (2/3) parts of the messages.
Suggestion: I'm not really a fan, perhaps removing them would bring a little more polish. Not a really a big deal though.
-Words do not fill the screen.
Suggestion: I have over 400 text messages but it only fills just the corners of the screens. There is a HUGE black area in the middle thats not doing anything, would be nice to try and fill the screen as much as possible.
I'm still playing with it, I'll let you know if I come across anything else.
Some screen captures:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thanks for the test - I am quite surprised that all words seem to have exactly same font size ... I think/hope that changing the scale to logarithmical in options and clicking then when it displays the screen touch it according to the instructions below should help:
* Top left will decrease the number of words while top right will increase it (starting at 500, increase by 20%, decrease by 10%, 5 words minimum).
* Bottom left will decrease the font range, bottom right will increase it (starting from 10pt to 60pt, increase by 20% decrease by 10%, 6pt to 36pt minimum).
* Center Left will decrease the logarithmical scale, Center Right will increase it (making the “scale curve” more steep). It requires plenty of clicks - changes are relatively slow at the beginning (increase with each click though).
please check by clicking - increase word count few times (upper right corner) and increase font size few times (bottom right corner).
thanks for the comments on (1/x) - I have a list of words being removed will add few of these.
For all others willing to test - the app is in the market - look for "Visual Words" - feedback is highly appreciated - make sure to touch the screen to change the settings.
Increased and decreased font size, and pretty much messed with UI to get it to break, everything seems like its working as intended.
(This was what I was expecting with the first image of words.)
Thanks for the effort on testing - I will surely look into what can be done to have the right scale from the very beginning. (not very simple as the inboxes across the globe will vary significantly)
Second point on my todo list is giving the user ability to fliter words (I do have a small "filter list" but looking at your screenshot I see much more, and it actually will be language dependent) ...
Third will be the sender filter I think.
Thanks again and I hope you had fun playing with it.
PS. posting a comment on Market that it actually works will help to countermeasure the comment I got from initial version where there was no option to scale via user interface...
Added a comment to the market, also marked the other as unhelpful since it's no longer valid.
Keep it up
Seems to work as intended. I must be thick, but I don't understand what it does...I mean, I do...but I don't see how this is going to benefit me.

I'd love to give this a test, how can I get hold of it? PM me if possible.
This concept seems like a good idea for a livewallpaper. Ill beta in a minute downloading now (if it's not gonna work on any phone it wont work on mine) and post a logcat if applicable.
Edit: Works well on HTC Dream with modified lcd density, added review and marked unhelpful one as such.

That would be pretty nice actually, just change the background when a new text message is received... humm...
Once I fiddled with the corner touching I was able to get a nice picture.
My suggestions:
Auto detect screen size and render at an appropriate size by default.
Provide an OSD with buttons for the adjustments (similar to zoom on stock browser)
Default to logarithmic scaling.
Provide a spinner to let us know the application is doing something.
Run the calculation in a background thread as to not block the UI and possible cause a Force Close prompt.
Ran it on some friends phones with equally awesome results. All that's needed is general UI polish and you'll have a really clever application.
what does this do?
I am down for beta testing but aside from guessing it has something to do with txt messages I have no idea what this app does...can someone explain?

Sure, I'll do my best.
Visual Words reads the words from the SMS messages on your phone and places them on the screen in no particular order. When you touch the center of the screen a different set of random words will fill the screen. Press in the bottom left corner and the words shrink, bottom right, and they get bigger. (Some words are bigger then others when they are used more frequently, so over time, you could be able to see which words you favor in your text vocabulary.)
This application is merely entertainment, just more of a artsy kind of entertainment. This isn't something that is going to do your math homework for you, or complete your project deadlines.
But at this point, who knows where playground is going to go with this, the code itself has to be pretty interesting if nothing else.

Thanks that was a very good description of the app. I think seesmic was doing something similar to this in their pc client for twitter.
So is this an app that you open and then it has those effects or does it run in the background and you have words floating around your screen all the time or does it just pop up when ever you get a txt message...how does it work?
I like it
I wonder how big the word viagra would be if it worked on email.
i would like to be a beta tester for your application it looks really amazing.
Device: HD2, with Froyo 2.2 on it

Right now it's only when you run the application do you get to play around with / look at the words.

[APP] POPUP 7 A Concept Notification Center for Andorid, WP7 themed(Updated V3.1)

Attached some ScreenShots...
HI there,
Introducing POPUP 7
A application which shows sms with sender photo and sms contents without disturbing any of your works. It comes from background and disappears.
Do not halt/pause your Games, any other work. Amazingly you can access your work even when this app is showing messages.
Click on popup to view sms thread just like in Windows Phone 7.
You can completely Customize look for this app.
1. Ability to show hide contact Image.
2. Ability to change color.
3. Ability to set duration.
4. Ability to show number of message lines.
5. Click on arrow to view complete message.
Any Suggestions are welcome.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.np.smsPopupPlusfree&feature=search_result
***NOTE***
For those who are using GOSMSPRO and Popup 7 is not working
In goSmsPro go to menu->setting ->ReceiveSetting... Please UNCHECK "DISABLE OTHER MESSAGE NOTIFICATION " option.
This will resolve problem.. please do not RATE low as this is not a fault of this app, that settings in go sms suppresses androids default Intents for sms received.
ToDO:
Working to make POPUP 7 as complete Notification center for android. If anyone wants to join me or give suggestions they are welcome.
Here is Concept what it will look like:
(This concept is originally from Yanko Andreev who joined me to make it true, this is just a concept, POPUP 7 will not be exactly like this.)
This is Concept picture of Notification Center, This kind of notification center will be implemented for POPUP 7. It is not there right now but it is in development.

Yeah I agree. This app is pretty cool so far, but it does not handle multiple texts well. Some features I'd suggest are to display the message text while the reply entry box is up, open keyboard automatically when "reply" is pressed, close popup when "read" is pressed, not make the whole popup background open SMS app (easily do this by accident when trying to press arrow), and custom color choice, including transparency.
Like i said tho, great app so far, especially considering it just came out. So keep up the development and I can see this turning into a success
seems good but i dont want to message content to be displayed in the popup unless i click some button to show it..please do add this feature and i would definitely buy it.

Idea behind this app is to make user read/reply message but being very less obtrusive. User should be able to access background work while doing these activities, so I think showing original message while replying will make message window large.

POPUP 7 is intended for much more than just sms messaging and next few updates will prove that.
Nice app.
This looks pretty interesting! Will check it out!
very nice application thank you.
may i suggest to include popup for E.mails also (K9)? it will be unique one on android.
thanks again
This looks promising, but I think if you want to attract more users, to some degree you should really work on getting better (higher-res) images on the Market app page. They do not make the app look attractive, enough to the extent that it can easily dissuade many [superficial albeit average] users.
Just wondering, how does the app handle incoming texts when the screen is off and lockscreen enabled? Can it turn on the screen and bypass the lockscreen? Also, I'm looking at the pay version and from the screenshots, the Reply, Read, and Delete buttons look quite ugly and unfitting given this is supposedly inspired by WP7.
Other than those points, everything I had in mind was already nicely stated by ajk1311. This app looks promising, I will keep an eye out on this development...
I can probably make a simple border in photoshop if you'd like.. pm

Hi c00ller,
Thanks for feedback,
Next update(after 2 days) for this app will handle Ringtones, Lockscreen and wake locks.
After implementation of bug free basic functionalities I am going to add some more advance functionalities like reminder for sms, missed call alert, kmail Integration and Incall popup, outgoing call popup.
The idea behind such implementation is to make life easy on mobiles and give some high usable apps.
Thanks for this application dev!
Certainly bringing convenience to us. Will there be an update where it will handle the SMS at the top for reply straight? It will be very convenient for us if this is available.
Will be looking forward to the update!
Hey dev is there any chance to include message content privacy feature ...surely there would be many like me who woudnt want others to see the message content easily and as others said the ability to reply with in the popup itself instead of going to the message application
I like the update! Makes the popup a little more user friendly. After pressing the 'reply' button, however, the popup gets kind of distorted with a noticeable separation between the entry box and the rest of the popup. Another feature, that idk if is development or not, that i thought of was a way to return to the message text after pressing reply, so we can refer to the message content if need be. Good update and I love the quick responses and development! Keep it up!
First of all, you already know it's a good idea and it will catch up if you make it snappy and jazzy looking.
Secondly, try googling some wp7 icons, and put those instead of the simple rectangular buttons. +1 for good looks and wp7 feel.
third thing - I don't know if it's possible, but consider overtaking the notification bar for a while to have more screen real estate. Stock vanilla sms app can do it, I remember sense sms app can do it too - it overtakes the notification bar space, leaving just the clock, battery and reception icons and displays a newly arrived text message for a short period of time.
Quite useful, it's just the notification bar itself it often not big enough, so I'm just thinking, maybe you could break the message in two parts, send one part to the notification bar, the rest to your view, then you'd have the whole message on a bigger screen estate.
Great idea, just more customization would be great and perhaps integrate this into an SMS application.
Works nice so far. Prefect for school
Please lengthen your message to at least 10 charters
Love this app . In a future update can you add like a fade away ?
Also a plain black or white background?

Content Privacy feature will be there in next update.
But tell me one thing, what Kind of Privacy feature you are refering to?
One I am thinking is give user ability not to show sms Content for some specified Contacts.

[APP] Minimal Reader 3.3 - 02/10/2012

Finally out of Beta and available on the Play Store !
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jv.minimalreader
Hey folks!
I've been hard at work these past weeks to take my Minimal Reader Widgets to the next level. I finally reached a milestone of stability, performance and usability, and I just couldn't help but sharing it with you guys.
I'm proud to introduce Minimal Reader 3.0 - Bringing a full Google Reader experience on your Android device with a brand new APP in addition to the widgets!
The App follows the latest ICS Guidelines and is available from Android 2.2 and above. It's clean, fast and simple to use.
There's a new color system that let's you associate a color to a particular feed, so you can easily spot it when scrolling through lists of news.
App and widgets are completely synchronized, so you can both quick read through your daily feeds on a widget and explore more content in the app when you have time.
The app should be pretty straightforward to use, give it a spin, and if you encounter any issues/bugs, please report them in a detailed comment on this thread.
I'm really looking forward to your feedback, and to make it easy for me, please give me your opinion by simply answering these three questions :
1/ what do you like about the app
2/ what do you miss (compared to other news app maybe)
3/ how would you improve it

gonna test
For me the minimal reader is the best reader/widget. I'm looking forward to test this beta.
First impression: really fast, but I don't have tried the older version (2.6)
What I liked: velocity
What I missed: possiblity to change the mobilizer. Readability Mobilizer is better than the Instapaper One (imho)
Suggestions:
1) after the tap on "mark all as read", the app should refresh the ui to not show again the feed marked as read. If I'm in the "browse" view, under a certain folder, it should prompt me to the upper folder
2) the name of the tabs are too big/long: as you can see from the picture above, the words "reading list (0)" and "favourites (0)" are too close.
I like the look, and feeling a lot. Just like 2.6, but great to have a app with it now
Things I miss: Synchronization interval
Suggestions:
Change the order of my labels, now you would have to add labels 1 by 1 to get the order you want. Would be nice if it could just be added all at once, and be reordered afterwards
Maybe an option to rename the labels in the app (only for the app, so leave the label name as it is in google reader), with the same reason as above poster
Maybe I missed it, but just saw there is no option for adding an individual rss feed. Not a problem for me, but maybe other people still like to add them all manually
This is great stuff guys, exactly the stuff I need to hear to prioritize features.
Keep it coming!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Look forward to testing this, thanks
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Another suggestion/missing feature:
Refresh on app startup
Suggestion:
Option to hide read labels (unless all are read/show all is selected) So you wont have to scroll through empty labels to get to the ones you havent read yet
Is it possible to add an export favourite news option? Just a simple html list with the title and link of the news, something like that.
Best news reader ever
Going to test. Just downloaded the beta. Will tell you how it works on both CM9 and CM7.
Cheers!!
I'm actually live coding your suggestions right now
Here's my TODO list atm :
From XDA :
----------------
ADD : Reorder colums in manage screen
ADD : hide columns when no more news (option ?)
ADD : Auto refresh in background option
ADD : Refresh on startup option
FROM ME :
----------------
ADD : sync starred from greader as favorites
ADD : white theme
ADD : tutorial with recommended labels
ADD : Tablet UI
This is great. Thanks guys !
Nice
Loved the widget, but now with the app its even better
I used the application for quite sometime.
Device: Motorola Defy (Rooted + Custom ROM)
ROM: White Rabbit v1.5 - Gingerbread 2.3.7
Pros:
Works Fast even on Edge
Really good looking widget with nice features
Design is good to look at. But I feel the 'carbon' theme is kinda distracting. But its just my feeling.
Changes I Would Love:
The tab texts are quite long. Better if they were smaller and space between was larger. (Already given)
The title text of content is a tad big. A smaller text would be better and feel flush with the total design. Previously given menu choice of 'Small' text makes it too small = Ability to choose a proper text size using a slider with numbers (Higher flexibility?)
The space between the contents in the widget could be slightly more.
FORCE CLOSE
The main app FCs every time I press the hard 'menu' button or the 'more' icon on the top-right corner. You should check that for sure.
It again FCs every time I press a feed in the 'Browse' tab under the reading list. FCs every single time.
Will the beta testers be given free licenses?

Great feedback, thanks.
About the FCs, could you download Sendlog from the play store (free) and send me a log after reproducing both crashes ?
It works fine on my CM7 galaxy S (2.3.7).

That is the dropbox link for you. I didn't know a better way to send it across. Hope you find it useful. If you can't download, just reply. I'll make sure you are able to.

Just installed the beta and I love it for most part. There are a couple things I don't like though and all of them are cosmetic (not too much of a biggie but I like my homescreens looking good):
1. For the widget, I dislike the new size of the "header". The 3 buttons and the counter (also the new MR button) are quite bigger than on 2.6. Much liked the previous size better.
2. Still concerning the widget, the new button that launches the full reader is a bit unsightly. Even though the icon represents MR, maybe a more subtle icon can be used instead that is more inline with the 3 other header icons (simple, single colored icon). If not, then maybe let us specifically hide only this icon (also allow the counter to be moved to the left most if the icon is hidden).
3. Hope you are still working on making the widget look more sightly when there are no items. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24773750#post24773750
Other than these, I'm pretty content.
Thanks for your hardwork!
Minimal Reader Pro 3.0
Hi Joenrv!!
I heard the latest news by this forum, when I came to see if my eternal "refresh" problem can be solved!
I was very surprised, that a new big update even in beta, but, I was disappointed to know this version only works in 2.2+ android version! Mine is 2.1 and still be for some time!
So please, can you tell me if for my version, no more updates will be released?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Alex, unfortunatly I have no plans on supporting Android 2.1 ... I'm using libraries that work on Android 2.2 and above only ...
But If you're here on this forum, you must know ways to flash a higher version on your phone... I mean what phone today has no custom ROM > 2.2 here on XDA?
Very nice app and widget. I like the clean and simple interface. I was going to suggest white theme (not only for pop-ups), but I see it's already on todo list.
Small remark - can you remove or add option to remove the horizontal padding of the widget - it doesn't expand fully horizontally and visually differs in width compared to other widgets I have (vertically there is no such padding/margin).
Could Minimal Reader use https to connect to google reader? For some reason, I have to use proxy and it only supports https.
Thanks.

YOUR FEEDBACK PLEASE!
Text & Numbers are what all of our actions revolve around when it comes to our smart devices.
Problematic Situation: You need to write something really quick on the fly so you spend a few seconds going back to your home screen looking for ANY app that will let you type; when you're done typing you realize you actually need to email it so you spend a few more seconds copying the content and then open your email app; when you're FINALLY done, you realize you lost the copied content because you copied something else in the process so you just give up and quit for the day!
Introducing to the world...

Im LOVING this so far!
I havent stumble upon an app this useful in a while.
There are so many combinations of text actions you can do with this its pretty amazing.
I always wanted to put my own text as a notification
Terrific job on the fun colorful UI with plenty of help and guidelines within the app.
Impressed!:good:

I'm not thrilled about the UI. But the app is young. Definately going to keep my eye on it.

The purpose of the colorful and dark shaded UI is to be simple and easy to tell the difference between the categorized actions while using stock icons alot of people are familiare with.
The app is still young indeed and i really appriciate the honest feedback, thank you!

If you pressed home or it got dismissed by another full screen app, tap the Anything Texter app icon and it will be restored.
If the swipe hotspot got killed by android then all you have to do is turn off your screen, smile, then turn your screen on (and unlock it if needs to) and the hotspot will come back on the bottom left side; Remember swipe from the edge of the screen in any direction.

THX for your reply mate!
Ok now i know how to handle this app. But is it intended that press Home Button the app get killed?! For me every time I pressed home Button I have to restart the app by tap the Anything Texter Icon as you said. Its a little bit annoying... So you are working on that or its desired??
Thx anyway!
Tapping Home (or being overide by another full screen app e.g. phone call) Anything Texter window will be hidden and tapping the icon will resume the window as it was left.
Tapping Back will save the current content as 'last text and/or numbers' and will close the window. Swiping the hotspot will start a new window session, which you can hit the recover button (green round arrow) to put the last content in fields.
I'll fix the overiding by other apps and make the home screen do the same action as the Back button.
Your feedback is very appriciated thank you!

Hi... Very beautiful and useful application... I'm trying it on my note 3 stock and the only problems that I have are the difficulty to swipe from the bottom left side that sometimes don't appear and I see slowdowns when writing... I use SwiftKey for type.... Anyway nice app and good idea... Keep it up this great work... Thanks

Rebooting your device will CONSIDERABLY boost the speed of Anything Texter but as i mentioned, there will be a MASSIVE speed improvements both in the launching time & typing response in next update.
If Android kills the swipe hotspot turn screen off then on (will implement a more persistent solution soon)
You can also make the hotspot size bigger or smaller (remember to swipe from the edge works the best)

At the same time i uninstalled 8 apps i dont need anymore thanks to this.

ZERO battery consumption for an app that is always there with a swipe and provide TONS of usefull functions is a winner in my book!

[APP][3.0+] Time Boss: set multiple timers for everyday use

Hello! 2 years ago I was playing Starcraft and needed a queen-inject timer (anyone? no?). Anyway, tried different things, but didn't find a single timer that could do what I wanted it to do. So I made one myself! :victory:
Introducing (drum roll)...
Time Boss
An easy to use timer application that lets you set multiple timers.
Each timer is highly configurable:
- Count up or count down
- Set alarm and/or vibration
- Change what happens when you tap the timer
- Change what happens when the timer runs out
- etc.
And it's easy to use:
Simply tap on a timer to start or stop it, and
hold a timer to show the options for that timer.
I'm very excited to hear any of your suggestions and ideas for improvements! :good:
(if you would be so kind to share them)

It also includes a simple stopwatch:
- Start/stop/reset using screen buttons or volume controls
- Log lap times and save them to a text file
- Record times in hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds
Required permissions
- Write to file (to log lap times to file)
- Vibrate (alarm)
Hope you like it!
Edwin

Demo looks nice. Will have a look at it
One question: how many timers can run at the same time?
Pretty cool man.. perhaps a bit better more modern looking interface?

Thanks for your reply.
There is no hardware limit on the number of timers that can run simultaneously (even though at a certain moment in time it becomes inpractical).
The design is such that 1 main timing event controls the timing updates for all timers. This is done to assure a low CPU load when using multiple timers. Also, the update frequency is reduced to 1 second when the application runs in the background (again to reduce system load).

Good point. I have been struggling with this... Will try to make some improvement on the UI over the next week or two.
If you have suggestions (e.g. apps that have a similar list with a header and main info/timer) and an appealing design, that would help. Otherwise I'll try my best at an improved design and go from there

Working on a new update with some nice new features, like:
- cascading timers (allows you to make a routine, e.g. run 5 mins, rest 1 min, run 5 mins, rest 1 min, etc.)
- new settings menu
- wave over phone to stop an alarm
- and more...
Should be online in about 10 days...
just a minor suggetion.. when adding a new timer, give it a default title, e.g. Timer 1, Timer 2, etc. (yup im not good at naming stuff), so that it wont just show a blank in the title line..

Good point.
Currently, you can set a title in 'default settings'. If you do, it will show up in all timers that you add. If you leave it blank (which is the default state when you start the app), the timer doesn't have a title. This way, the timer takes up less space.
It would be easy enough to give it a default value like 'Timer' (the user could still make it blank)...
Knowing this, would you still prefer a default title? (if so, it will be in the next update )

thx for the reply.. actually i asked a bit more than that.. apart from the auto-title text, there was also a sequence in the title (Timer 1, Timer 2, etc.)..
this could not be achieved by the default title setting, and thus i asked if u could make it a feature..
Hi, I just searched in Google play store with 'timer' and couldn't find your app.
Feels your app name doesn't match with search string - think about changing the app name to reflect timer.
Eg: "Timer Boss"
PS: really nice app, gui can be improved - black/colors bg option.
Thanks.

Ah, ok than I misunderstood
I will add this as a feature. Just to make sure: would the option: 'Add number to timer header' do what you would like it to do?
In this case, if the header is 'Timer', it would add the number of the timer (e.g. 'Timer 1', 'Timer 2', etc...)

Getting a good ranking in Google Play is really hard
(harder than I thought it would be)
The black background option does sound like a nice feature. Will add it in a future update!
I am thinking about providing the option to have the user select a background image. This would fit in nicely with that :highfive:
(will publish an update within 1 week, can't promise that these changes will be in that one already. It should be in the one after that though...)
Thanks for the suggestions, keep em comming!

The action bar is still the same (light) color though. If you like I can try to add the option to change the theme to HOLO DARK (instead of HOLO LIGHT that I use now)... Think it is ok the way it is now (also see image below with some 'test' layouts).
More new stuff in version 1.4:
- All running alarms can now be stopped by waving the hand over the screen (proximity sensor).
The proximity sensor is only enabled when the alarm is running to save battery life.
- Timers can now trigger the next/prev./first timer, so the user can make a (training/workout) schedule.
- New settings screen (moved several options to the settings screen to create a cleaner overall look)
Hope you like it!!
(More suggestions and ideas are always welcome! :good
