Thanks. I did that but it didn't worked. Did a Fresh start on pc and then was all ok. Just wanted to install Pie 9.0 . Find it much better than Oreo. Very important is to do hard reset after any flash. But keeping my Honor Play as main phone.

I've tried looking everywhere for help on the forums. I don't know why my PC won't recognize my S3. I've tried everything, I'm using the right cable, ive tried all my usb ports, I've downloaded the samsung drivers, reinstalled numerous times. My pc itself isn't showing the phone in the device manager nor is my phone recognizing that it is plugged into the pc except for showing a charge. Idk what else to try...any help is appreciated. Thanks

Are you referring on how to connect S3 to a PC so that you can Odin the phone?
If so, you have to install Android SDK on your PC first. Here's a link. Do a YouTube search as well....there are how-to videos that will walk you thru it.

What operating system are you using? Have you tried disabling any internet/virus/malware protection software temporarily? This may help alleviate your issue. If on Windows, do you hear an audible sound when you connect/disconnect your phone to the PC? Also, try different USB ports if you haven't already. Windows is a fickle beast sometimes
Hi everyone! I've updated my Samsung Galaxy i9003L to 2.3.6 via Kies a few days ago, and USB connection has stopped working for seemingly no reason. The phone just charges but never mounts. Kies doesn't detect it either.
On Win7, when I try to connect I get the device listed as "Unknown Device", error 43. Have tried uninstalling USB drivers and reinstalling official Samsung drivers at least 5 times. Didn't work. Also, Kies doesn't detect the phone. Have tried running Kies' connection troubleshoot tool. Didn't work either.
I've tried connecting the device with 3 different USB cables (including the original Samsung one), and on different USB ports as well. Didn't work either. Also tried putting the device on USB Debugging mode, to no avail. I've also cleaned the USB port in the phone just in case. Problem persists.
My Linux netbook used to detect the device with no problem at all before the update. Now it doesn't detect it either. I've also tried my GF's Mac, but no dice. This makes me think this may be a phone error.
I've also tried the *#7284# USB/MODEM solution and rebooted my phone to factory settings twice already. Nothing seems to work.
I'd appreciate some help on the matter, this is driving me slightly crazy!

Hi! First of all, thanks for the help. I doubt this is a firmware problem, since neither mi Linux netbook nor a Mac computer detected the phone in any way, and they also used ot be able to detect it with no problem.
So at some stage I installed the drivers I need in the proper fasion but one day I couldn't get my Nexus 5 to connect anymore. I tried MTP, PTP and USB Debugging mode and all that but couldn't get it. Since then I have spent several hours trying to troubleshoot this. Uninstalling and reinstalling all the drivers many times, trying every possible combination and also trying every 'fix' that I could find on the internet but with no success. There must be something I am missing here, is anyone able to help out? I'm running Windows 7 x64 and a 16GB Nexus 5 (non-US).

Are you using the original cable? Have you tried diffetent usb ports and different cables?
Also, on the start menu of windows 7 type "Device manager", click it and try to see if it detects the phone when you plug it.

Yes, I should have mentioned that before, tried different cables. The original as well as another lying around. It does show up in device manager, and I have done the manual upgrade to point it to the Google USB drivers but still no success.

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a used Samsung tab 2 7.0 p3113, consequently it appears it is stuck in boot loop. However, I can go into the download and recovery mode, but Odin will not recognize my device. It doesn't show up in any way or form on my laptop. Tried all usb ports, uninstalled and reinstalled kies. Does not show in device manager. I'm confident that if I can get the computer to recognize the device it is fixable. I also tried it on a win7 machine as I am running 8.1
Any help is appreciated.
I've only ever had luck on windows xp. But to me it seems like someone used Odin and may have permabricked it by repartitioning

I suppose I will have to find a computer still running xp to try it out on.
the computer doesn't show any sign of recognizing the device. I have checked background processes for kies running. Simply cannot figure it out.

Hello,
I'm having a problem with my Unlocked Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) When i plug the USB to transfer data from my PC, it only detects it as charging, and yes, i know i should change to MTP in the notification center, but i don't get that option, I've enabled it manually in the developers option, also enabled USB Debugging Nothing. Then I've rebooted to TWRP , still nothing. Tried connecting via ADB Doesn't detect it.(I'm sure that cable works , tried it with my Galaxy S5 mini , it works), So i went to Download Mode, Fastboot commands doesn't work , but weirdly it detects in Odin. Good, not great. I've decided to revert back to stock, flsahed the latest firmware. booted still nothing just says Cable Charging as if it is connected to a wall plug.
I don't know what do now .
Any help?

My S6 does a continues connected/disconnected loop on my laptop but on a desktop PC it runs great. Other phones also run great on the laptop so it's possible that you too have an isolated case.
A dumb suggestion, did you try clearing the cache? Try downloading Samsung Smart Switch on your PC and run the built in device driver reinstall function.

I personally think that it's a computer problem rather than a phone problem. If you flashed stock ROM only and didn't touch anything special it MUST work because we would have seen people complaining by now. I'm still holding onto the idea to check the phone with another PC. IDK, maybe you somehow blocked the phone on the laptop? (Download mode and "OS mode" are different things so that would clarify why the laptop detects the phone in ODIN mode)

I've tried hooking it up with a different working laptop , same problem. I even tried OTG Flash drive on the OS, and mounting it in TWRP no Luck.
