I broke my LCD of milestone XT720 yeaserday..
Anyone knows the link to dissambling og Milestone XT720???
And also where can I buy LCD.. I am in India.
New from authorized service center will cost u 3,500rs. U may try @ Manish market in Mumbai. U will surely get the LCD. But not sure if it will be original. Motorola service center gives u one month warranty for it.

but i cant find any tutorial how to replace it
Its a link for US ebay so did u got it imported??
i just bought it from there.. some of sellers ship product overseas..
It's pretty easy to disassemble, if you've repaired other phones.
From the back, holding it with the speaker grille down you have:
Top left rubber cap hiding one screw.
Top right under 8.0 xenon sticker one screw.
Middle over battery two screws, not hidden.
Bottom left and right, under speaker grille another two.
Now simply spread the blue from the chrome with a PLASTIC breaker.
You often get them free with new screens.
After that, there's ribbon cables and some sticky tape that need to be extremely carefully removed, especially the micro antennas.
A new touch/digitizer from ebay should include the chrome frame!
Very important, as they're glued and not double sided taped like other phones.
LCD is separate from the digitizer, and if that's broken you need to buy two parts obviosly.
My phone recently received a direct impact on the screen.. I tink the lcd screen got destroyed!
The gorilla glass stood up to the impact. But the display beneath the glass turned black and only showed streaks of white light when turned on.. everything else's still working find though! e.g. multitouch, launching apps, etc.. can even answer phone call cause it's just a swipe..
is this a spoiled LCD screen of my phone as OP mentioned?
Hi Guys,
Yesterday i was walking on the street and my phone slipped out of my hand fell in the ground... The glass got smashed in one of the corners and i would like to get it replaced.
Could you tell me of a retailer where i could buy a replacement with good quality and reasonably priced? And can i buy just the glass or do i have to buy the LCD too?
Thanks in advance
You need the screen and frame since its fused together, something like this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Touch-Digiti...cement_Parts_Tools&hash=item20e38dc59b&_uhb=1
Edit: that should be one piece, seems you have to bond the frame and screen? No clue, do some more research.
aye guys,
My sis took my 1+1 for hers Goa Trip(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goa)
She dropped my phone in sea water and phone got dead on 3rd of march, 2016.
Gave it to Service Center and they told me it is dead mobo and they will replace the mobo for Rs.17000 INR.
I, However disassembled it on reaching home.
There were white corrosion marks everywhere.
So, I am confused if I buy a broken Second Hand 1+1 and use its mobo to replace mine
THEN
if i replace the mobo and touch/display results dead in state then it will loss for me.
Btw, my phone is open till now and i am sun bathing it for weeks in open state.
I will today re assemble the phone and try to boot it.
Please help me guys and tell me should I buy a broken Second Hand 1+1 (Rs.5000 INR aprox)
or
buy a working Second Hand 1+1 (Rs.9000-10000 INR aprox)
I have attached the pics of mobo and body with white marks of corrosion.

Only you can answer to that question. To me it's better to buy another phone (new or used your call) and keep the old parts just in case.
Good luck!
I have had the phone for a little over a month and dropped it face down on tile. It has a small crack at the bottom left corner. I now have a screen protector on it, so the crack is barely visible...however, will this make the phone more fragile? Should I pay Samsung to fix it?

i wouldn't worry about it being more fragile as you said you dropped it once its cracked regardless if you drop your phone its got a chance to smash into 50 pieces, down to luck i suppose
As long as you don't drop it again it will be fine (and even if you do chance it will be okay), its corning gorilla glass 5 its pretty strong stuff.
if you are super worried invest in a nice protective case for yourself to use while your juggling with it
I wouldn't get it wet with a crack on it.
cracked screen
Your phone might only have the digitizer cracked and if you continue to use it like you might crack the actual lcd part as well which is a lot more expensive than just the digitizer. I would get it fixed at a local repair shop. Samsung charges way to much for that. It would be cheaper to get a phone on ebay for that price

I'm actually sending mine to Samsung for them to fix a cracked screen. 70$ including tax and shipping, if that's to much then I want to know where your getting yours fixed!
Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
thats cheap
i got mine fixed @ samsung singapore.
just a minor screen crack at the top corner.
set me back 220usd
Thats a good price n ive heard similar. Be mindful, getting phone repaired by ne 3rd party voids warranty. Might be cheaper but also nit water proof ne more when going 3rd party.
I accidentally drop my device and got a crack from the right end to the left end of the display glass...but no touch problems or other.... Working perfectly fine....when I search for the display replacement, just the duplicate copy of the display itself cost about 7500INR (115 dollars)
Can anyone please tell me actual price of an original AMOLED display for Moto x 2014:crying:

My Moto X 2014 fell to the ground from my pocket (and a motor bike passed over it), it had glass screen protector but the Gorilla Glass still shattered from one corner. I have search the internet and found these:
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&SearchText=moto+x+2014+screen
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=moto+x+2nd+generation+screen+replacement
my ex had her X2014 in her back pocket, and fell and sat and cracked the glass. I replaced it with a non-oem part. People before me already listed the prices and links, I just wanted to point some pointers on installing.
1. Make sure you heat the back cover hot enough that it comes off relatively easily! Because if you tear the adhesive that keeps the backplate in place, when you put the back back on you might/ have bumps because the adhesive now folds/ less adhesive to keep the plate on.
2. When you try to poke the backplate out to create a gap from the sim-tray hole (check ifixit), be careful not to bend the frame towards the screen. You will have trouble putting the new screen back on if you do.
3. The screws strip REALLY easy. Be careful while screwing and tightening!
4. Some screens's speaker grill holes are too small and the grill wont fit well on the new non-oem screems.
