ABC layout keyboard with predictive text? - General Questions and Answers

Hi all. I have an issue with a customer who is very frustrated with the QWERTY and other keyboard layouts. I have been looking for help regarding the Andriod OS and looking at the AppStore for apps that has both a ABCDEF keyboard layout and predictive text on. Is there such a keyboard that can be downloaded? I am at my limit with the search, and would greatly appreciate the help!
Thank you!

My own favorites are: Tengo Keyboard or TongoThumb ; Touchpal ; Ezinput (free available here in this forum) try them out and decide for the best for you
you can also try Resco keyboard or SPB Keyboard
Hi Bulldog and nir36,
Thanks for your input.
But my question is for real qwerty keyboard input. All your suggested are virtual (soft) input method. They do not predict or auto correction key inputs.
Let me know if I am wrong.

Sorry but I am not sure what you mean now with "Real Querty keyboard input" Anyhow Yes all the kepboards name that we have mentioned are soft inputs and yes all of them have a prediction or suggestion of words. You can have also other languages. However most of them give you option to switch on or off those T9 kind options. The Best google for those Keybords and visit their web pages to get more info.
if you're looking for something to predict words using your HW keyboard you can use the original Diamond XT9 or Opal XT9 keyboards.. you can find them in the Development and Hacking section..

[Q] Japanese text input

Only recently, I transitioned from an Iphone to Android and one thing that surprises me is how hard it is to get Japanese text input natively. There are some great apps out there that get the job done, but are a little inconvenient. Because this is stock android, will this support Japanese text input out of the box? If not, is there a way to port a keyboard from any of the Japanese android devices? Thanks for you help.
I use Simeji, great Japanese keyboard app and has the option for "flick" style typing, you can get it in the android market.

[Q] Keyboard text suggestions

Hi all,
I am having a problem with keyboard suggestions. I type the word that is not an "English word", and then I tap on the word, tap on the "plus" to add it to my text suggestion library. Then i try to type that same word once more, and I can't find it in the text suggestion ribbon.
Am I doing something wrong? It seems to me that text suggestion doesn't work with any other language except in the ones that are supported by WP7. Am I right?
Any help would be appreciated

[Q] Touchpal quick question...

I used - Loved - Touchpal. I used to turn on something that ended up predicting all of these spelling mistakes. it used to capitalize all the i's that were on their own. It doesn't do that any more. It doesn't even capitalize the first letter after a period.
It's driving me crazy!
I ended up turning on:
correct mistyping
Spellcheck
Advanced prediction
I don't know what else to do.
Any feedback, input, suggestions.
Thanks guys
I'm bumping this, because I'm trying out Touchpal as a possible replacement for Swype, but can't figure out how to do capital letters (like swiping above the keyboard with Swype). Anyone?
