HW2 - Sensors all dead?? - Huawei Watch 2

I have a HW2 Sport, all of a sudden yesterday morning the device decided to stop tracking anything - i noticed after going for a 10k run and it told me i had not taken a single step! I have tried clearing the cache and then re-installing the firmware with no joy. It really does look like the device is dead as far as fitness goes... anyone else had this issue??? Its over a year old but think i may struggle to find the receipt... :crying::crying:
Have even tried the wrist gestures too - they dont do anything anymore...

S2 keeps locking when on my wrist

As in the title, now that I have turned on the lock which should only activate when I take off the watch I find that it activates while still on my wrist. This is happening seemingly randomly several times a day and is quite annoying. I like the security of it locking if it's not on my wrist but it is becoming a nuisance. Anyone having a similar problem?
I'm having the same problem. I found this post from a Google search, hoping to find a solution.
Were you able to figure it out?
same issue here. very annoying. i've ended up disabling the PIN lock because it keeps happening (i assume because it's not super tight on my wrist, but i don't want it too tight).
It seems to be one of a few glitches on the gear S2 (i also can't tag HR measurements, and the weather app often won't refresh if my Note4 hasn't been used in a few hours).
pretty disappointed with Samsung since these issues have been around for months.
It's weird because mine does too, yet my bf's doesn't. I'm thinking to just reset to factory and start over.
This is an old thread, but did anyone ever find a solution? Mine was working fine until I started disabling things to extend battery life... now it locks as soon as the screen blanks. I have a feeling there's something it needs for heartrate monitor that I disabled... any ideas? Thanks

2017 Samsung Gear 360 Not Connecting? Easy Fix.

I just got my hands on the 2017 gear 360 two days ago and all was well until today. Suddenly it wouldn't connect. Everything that went through my mind was could it of been the firmware update, updating the app or what did I disable that I shouldn't have in my beer fuled craze last night. Well after trying all the normal solutions and coming up empty handed I turned to Google. All the sound for people with the same problem but no Solutions anywhere. It wasn't till to be honest stupid blind luck that I uninstall the Samsung Accessory Service app and that was the ticket. It reinstalled itself and everything went smooth from there for the most part. When it finally did connect the resolution options were grayed out and stuck at 10fps. I just hit reformat for the camera and everything was back to normal finally. My dream of making my own VR porn is now at least possible now again! Ya I know not likely but I still have my beer. I hope this helps somebody out.

Check which mode the camera is in. Then check camera settings.

Gear S2 pairing with Google Pixel

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help. I've searched and searched on this site and all over the internet to no avail. If you can help me, I'd be most appreciative!
First off, I have basic knowledge of this stuff with the help of tutorials, but am not even close to being fluent in it. That said, I had my gear s2 paired with my old Note 4 a few years ago. Last year, I bought a Pixel on Black Friday and found a way to root the watch and put Android Wear on it so that it would work with the Pixel. It worked fine for over a year. Recently, it was giving me problems, every few seconds crashing saying Google Services were not working. I factory reset the watch and it is now fresh with Android Wear on it. However, it will not find my phone and vice versa to connect them.
I told it to "forget" my phone and repair, even uninstalled Android Wear on my phone and reinstalled it, and nothing. The BT function of both my phone and watch work fine, as they are able to find other BT devices near them, just not each other.
Anybody have any ideas? It's driving me crazy. Thanks!

How did you manage to get Android Wear on this watch? Are we talking about the regular gear S2 or the classic?

Watch only vibrates once and then no more until a reboot

I just got the Gear Fit2 Pro this week and began using it yesterday as I also have a Gear S3, so the first thing I noticed is that I was missing all my notifications. The watch doesn't have a speaker so we just rely on the vibration to know that we got a notification.
At some point yesterday I noticed that I had about 4 or 5 emails and other notifications pending but never felt the vibration, so I immediately went to the settings to see if there was a Vibration intensity or something but I just noticed that the only other option besides the vibration on and off is the long buzz, so it should vibrate longer for each notification. I decided to give that a try but the same thing, no vibration with the notification.
I decided to reboot the watch and then as soon as I received the first notification it vibrated but then no more vibration after that, so it seems that it only vibrates once after each reboot (I have tested it a couple of times now).
Looking around on Google and other forums I can't find another Gear Fit2 Pro with the same issue but there are dozens of similar reports from Gear Fit2 users, one of them worried me a little as he said that it was fixed only asking for service from Samsung, I think he mentioned that they replaced the vibration motor or something.
Problem for me is that I got this used on Swappa, no receipts, so no service from Samsung (I don't live in Continental US so here in Puerto Rico we don't exist for them) plus the seller, original owner, insists that it was working fine when he had it. I know that I can always open a claim on Paypal and ask for a full refund but I was just wondering if this is indeed a software issue and not hardware, I mean, it works after a reboot, that alone tells me that it may be software related. So I'm wondering if someone else is having or had a similar issue and if it was solved, somehow.
I've resetted it twice now and I'm currently testing it again, I just did a reset an hour ago, so I'm hoping for the best, but if you have any more details about this I'd really appreciate any help you may provide to me, thanks
I've the same issue it vibrates only one

Huawei Watch 2 Sport - all sensors are dear after latest Wear OS update

Hi all
Has anyone faced the following problem: my watch updated to the latest Wear OS a week ago. And after this all the sensors died - no any single of them is working.
I've googled and tried everything I can - from multiple factory resets and linking watch to another phones to manually enabling app permissions for sensonrs and dev mode.
Nothing worked. Test in Dev mode shows "Fail" for all tests related to sensors.
Any ideas/advice on how to fix this?

My Watch 2 sport (4G) got the same issue after 1 year. Sent it to service and got a replacement for free.
Probably a HW issue not related to the SW update....

THanks... My watch is more than 1 year old, AFAIK warranty is over
Anyway - Thanks for advice!
Got exacly the same situation, i got my hands on a LEO-BX9 BT, when i install the older firmware 7.1.1 at the start the steps appear and the heart rate works good, but then it starts making updates and loosing the sensors data, i dont believe it's HW related as lower versions of Android Wear work without a problem. already tried almost every firmware available on XDA and the only one that worked all sensors (briefly before auto update) was sawfish-OWDD.180215.018 can anyone give me some guidelines about this? i am well informed about flashing, rooting etc. but this is new to me. flashing fastboot rom and even that way not beeing able to use the sensors.
EDIT: i know this is a old thread but this is still a beautiful watch and with capabilities to perform as a daily driver.
i came from a mi band 4 looking for more functions even if it costs charging a watch every night.
Ultimate edit: it is definitly hardware, i opened up my watch, used isopropyl alchool to clean up all contacts and it worked again, all sensors are now working except barometric sensor, it seems it had been submerged more that it can handle by the previous owner so it had water damage on it, it is near the microphone and it is unrecoverable unfortunatly. but hey, now you know. if you are having error in heart sensor, acelerometer and such. opening up and cleaning the board and contacts its a good idea. time to open up the drawer and reviving a smartwatch!
