[Q] Which extented battery should i buy?

hi guys.i have searched ebay to buy reasonable battery for my desire but i am a little bit confused.i saw mugen and innocell batteries have good reputation but very expensive for me.can anyone help me which reasonable extented battery i can but from ebay?thanks a billion in advance.

I think most replies in other threads to extended batteries show that you get what you pay for. The cheaper ones tend to give just the same (or worse) battery life than the standard OEM battery.
The better, larger extended batteries are more expensive and increase the size of the handset too, but if you can put up with this they will extend the battery life but it won't be anything "jaw-dropping".
On specific batteries I can only really advise to keep away from the batteries sold on ebay from China/HK as these tend to be a lot more inferior in quality and performance and can be prone to going up in flames (literally).
EDIT: I forgot to mention that out of the two battery brands you mention innocell seems to get better ratings and reviews but they still aren't brilliant. Best to shop around online and compare user ratings. Checkout Amazon and Mobile fun for ratings for example, because ebay only gives seller ratings and not product ratings.

If you want to buy extended battery, you will need to notice on its charging cycle. Having larger battery (mAh) is not worth if their charging cycle is short.
Even though you got high mAh battery, they may be rapidly reducing its maximum battery level to 80% after you charge them for several cycle.

well i bought Andida battery advertised and alabelled as 1800 mAh - it does not work as advertised. After few cycles i feel it is now smaller capacity than genuine one, it does not charge up to 100% it stops charging somehow @99%. As a backup battery well maybe, as a replacement defenately no!

I've read that somewhere, that the HTC batteries aren't the biggest batteries around, but they somehow manage to get up to 95% of the capacity to be used. That is what none of those cheaper batteries can achieve, so it is senseless to buy a bigger battery that only uses some 70% and in the end the smaller, but more efficient HTC battery is your better choice

I am looking to buying the following battery

I don't want to sacrifice the sleek look of my mobile phone by buying 1350 mAh or 1450 mAh huge batteries.
Anybody bought these kind of batteries already ?
Do you find noticeable difference in run-time ?

That's the one I saw on ebay.
The thing I notice that the slim batteries that are larger in capacity than the stock batteries are more in price than the larger capacity and fatter batteries with a bigger back cover.
I wonder what is that???
I going to order next payday to try it out.

I do not think this is going to be any better than stock battery. Better to go with the fat one. You will at least get 2000 to 2200 mAh out of those for $10.

I have had that Andida battery for a couple of months now. Never any problems with it, and I would say I probably get somewhere between 30 minutes-2 hours extra charge over the stock battery, depending on what kind of usage, obviously. It feels noticeably thicker/denser than the stock battery. It fits inside with the normal cover, but you can tell it's a tighter fit. I also charge it sometimes on the spare port of my desk dock, and it's a tighter fit there, as well. And a bit heavier.
I won't make any claims of whether it's actuallyt 1980 or not...but it's a good battery...at least mine has been good to me. Nothing "night and day" that you're gonna convert religions over, but if you're looking for a second battery anyway, it's definitely worth it.

Generally, it's seemed like people with the Andida 1980 mAh battery have gotten an extra hour or two more over the OEM.

Thanks for posting that obostore link...when I clicked the OP's ebay link, I was pretty sure I didn't pay anything near $29, but it's been a while and I"ve bought so many things, I couldn't remember...but it didn't feel right.
$9 from obostore sounds about right...I've bought about 6 cases and other stuff from them, so they are legit. It does take about 2-3 weeks to reach your door from the time you order, since it comes from Hong Kong.

[Q] Getting a New Battery

I've had my Galaxy S 4G for several months now, and recently the battery life has lessened during daily use.
I originally used a 1700mAh genuine Samsung battery (forgive me it may have been 1650), but switched over to some backup batteries I have that are 1500mAh.
The 1500's don't have the same life, so I'd like to buy something better.
I found a 2000mAh on eBay, but would that require a new battery door? The seller does not indicate the battery size. Is it possible to get a 2000mAh battery for my 4G S that is the same size as the original battery?
Any suggestions and response are appreciated. Thanks! - Jamie

as far as I know, there's only one fairly decent battery that will fit your phone as is. and that would be the 1800 mAh battery. there's a thread about it in the accessories section, you should look it up

They sell 1800mAh batteries on eBay for 2.99, so I think its worth a shot. I just don't want to get a battery that requires a new door, or makes my phone thicker.

Just saying, you get what you paid for. Honestly, IMO you should try to get the OEM samsung battery for the epic 4g touch, or ankler 1800mAh batteries. there was a battery thread somewhere around the vibrant accesories board which someone tested a bunch of batteries, and a lot of the cheaper off-brands had a lower mAh rating than advertised

We shall see. I actually ended up ordering a 2000mAh off eBay for 11.49. The battery was listed as a fit for my phone. I have actually had some good experience in the past buying third-party batteries, specifically for Motorola phone, but, I've also had poor experiences buying knock-off batteries for blackberries that were packaged to look like the genuine thing.
I'll post back, maybe in a week or so when the battery is delivered and I test it.

"Gold Business Batteries" for the G2/Desire Z Review

My wife and I have both had t-mobile g2's for almost 2 years now. I had wanted to get addition batteries or replacement higher capacity batteries for a while. There were plenty of cheap batteries on ebay that claimed 1500 or 1600 mAh that would theoretically be an upgrade over a stock battery but it would be a relatively small upgrade and might not even really be an upgrade if they didn't actually live up to their advertised capacity so I had been procrastinating doing anything. Two things changed and I finally stopped procrastinating. First we decided we were going to keep our g2's for about another year. Second I noticed a number of Gold Business Batteries showing up on ebay at a relatively cheap price. They claimed a really high 2450mAh which I figured was not realistic but even if it fell well short of that it should still be a good upgrade. You can find them on ebay with a search for Desire Z gold battery. Can't post a link yet =)
Ordering and shipping was pretty much what you'd expect for cheap ebay purchases from china. The description was poor and communication with the seller was in broken English but I had no major issues. I just selected the cheapest seller at the time and I'm not even sure if that seller is still selling the batteries now. Shipping was predictably slow and packaging was minimal but everything arrived undamaged and is working fine.
The batteries seem to be a little tighter fit than the OEM batteries which seems to be a common complaint about these replacement batteries. I suspect that they would fit better if you removed the "gold" label as it seems to be somewhat stiff and thick for a label but I haven't tried that yet.
No surprise but the batteries don't seem to live up to their claimed capacity. I installed a battery monitor app and ran several full cycles on my battery and it came up with a measured capacity of ~1850mAh. I haven't tried to do the same on my wife's battery but it is enough of an improvement over our original OEM batteries that it is easily noticeable and she has commented on it and prefers the new battery. We got a charger with one of the batteries so she could easily swap batteries rather than charging the battery in the phone but she prefers to charge the gold battery and not swap back to the OEM battery unless she has to. My impression is the same. The new battery definitely lasts longer and was a nice improvement.
I no longer have the battery monitor installed (flashed to a CM9 Mod now) but after a couple months of use I subjectively haven't noticed a large drop in performance for the batteries.
Short review-
Good capacity cheap battery that doesn't require a replacement battery cover and I'd recommend them or by another in the future.

I agree with OP's assessment. Definitely better than stock. I also notice that they get a lot less HOT than stock battery, which often felt like it would burn a hole in my pants. This battery produces no significant heat. Key word is "significant" since it is obviously impossible to produce NO heat. I suspect that the increased capacity compared to stock is due to much less energy lost as heat.

Just ordered a 2680mah one. Will report back when tested. With any luck it'll come before the weekend as my trip to London will be a good test.

I've using the N4 for last 2 years here in India and I personally felt it is a great device in terms of build quality, screen size and looks and only downside I can see is the poor screen on time (SOT) or battery backup on stock battery.
Now my battery has almost died and need to replace it. While searching on AliExpress, there is a 3200 mAh capacity battery available for Nexus 4, though there is no review available. Though I can buy the original battery from eBay or ALiexpress, this high capacity battery looks very tempting to me.

I doubt that you will be able to get a replacement battery (li-ion) that has the same physical dimensions, higher capacity and a lower price.

I think you'll get a cheap battery with - at best - the same capacity as an original battery.
I would go for an original battery.

You can't squeeze more capacity into the same volume - that said, there are some battery manufacturers who can get an extra 10% or so. I remember buying one from a very reputable company in Switzerland several years ago for a phone, but I can't recall their name
So either them, if you can track them down, or an original battery. Stay away from batteries which promise enormous amounts of mah, or are just very cheap. The original is not a bad option since realistically the phone has a remaining life of a couple of years max.
Another very good option is to buy an external pack. For example a 5000mah pack occupies the same volume and weighs the same as a phone, and will provide plenty of spare capacity without adding weight or bulk to the phone (unless when you are using it, otherwise it can sit in a bag). NewTrent is a good brand, as is Xiaomi, good offers on Amazon.
(I got myself a Xiaomi 10,000mah battery pack which is technically really good but just too heavy and bulky)

That's fake, it's still 2100mAh, you can't squeeze more mAh from same size.

So my wild guess is technically it is possible to get 2500mah probably. If that is the case then also enough for my current 2yrs old battery is giving me around 2-2.5hrs of battery backup and don't want to plugin the power bank in my mobile (though I've xiaomi one in my home)

Another vote for "physics > spiel". You simply cannot get more mAH from the same dimensions. For the fella above who says he got more out of a replacement Nokia, it's entirely possible that the improvement in battery life was merely down to the age of the battery, as in, the one he was used to was tired and running out of charge cycles.

You can squeeze a little more power in the cell , these come highly recommended but not cheap.

Don't forget that it is possible for manufacturers to stack batteries and make them bigger (thicker). Nexus 4's non-removable back (glass!), fragile design make this impossible. I remember seeing a 6200mAh battery for my old Note 2, but you needed to use a custom back cover because of the added thickness. But the point is battery capacity is limited by it's density, so the only way to make a larger capacity battery is to make it bigger. Until we get some new battery technology with different density like graphite or whatever.
