Oneplus One Won't turn on - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello I am having trouble with my Oneplus One. It won't turn on. Here are the details:
After 4 years of using, my battery could not support my phone. If I was using my battery's power, the phone would constantly reboot. So I plugged it into a power bank 24/7 in order to use the phone. It worked fine. Then, one day it would constantly reboot after the "cyanogen mod ready" screen.
Now, if I try to turn it on without it plugged in, it shows the oneplus logo and "poewred by android" screen, and reboots every 3 seconds with a vibrate. If I turn it on while plugged in, it passes the oneplus logo screen, and shows the cyanogen mod ready screen for ~10 seconds before powering off to show the battery charge percentage screen (at 100%).
I'm not sure how to fix this, but a possible solution is that I may need to replace the battery. I want to know if replacing the battery will wipe the data? I am trying to recover my photos and get my account from the LINE app. So I must be able to use the phone after. Where can I buy a working battery to replace it?
If the battery is not the issue, is there a solution to this?
Thanks so much

[Q] [Help] MYSTERY-Showing Full Charge but Will only turn on while charging (Kinda)

Sorry if I explain this horribly, will try and be as descriptive as i can.
Was using CM 10.2. Had a problem, which I was on the way to fixing. I was having an internal storage fault which was fixed by using stock recovery, could then flash TWRP back and everything worked fine. Then one day it all decided to die. Phone would just get past the HTC logo screen and would then die before booting Android. I could however get into bootloader/fastboot/recovery ok. However could not mount internal storage-windows wasn't picking it up when plugged in, so flashed stock recovery again and this seemed to make it mountable again. So was able to put CM 10.2 back, so re-flashed CM with no joy, wiped caches and data etc, still nothing. Didn't want to boot Android. Boot.img was flashed and everything. Went back into bootloader, however upon unplugging the USB cable, the phone turned off.
Tried turning the phone back on and it just showed the HTC logo screen for a slit second and died.. then showed it again for a split second. Does the same for the recovery screen if you hold down Vol Down and power - shows it for a split second and then dies.
But if you plug the charger in (orange light comes on) and turn it on, the orange light goes off.. stays off for a moment..and then comes back on, phone does not turn on. BUT if you press the power button and the orange light turns off and then you quickly hold the Vol Down and power button at the same time (before the orange light comes back on) it will bring up the bootloader.. and it stays on. I can try booting and it shows the HTC logo screen as normal but then turns off again before booting android (same problem i was having before the charger issue). I can go into TWRP recovery no problem, i did factory reset for good measure while there but the moment you remove the charger, it turns off. Its like the battery is totally dead but TWRP shows it as 90+ %
If you leave it to charge completely and the orange light turns green. It WILL bring up the HTC logo screen as normal (not for a split second) but eventually turns off again and doesn't boot android. Green light then turns orange again and it only shows the screens for a split second.
I've flashed this phone with a couple of ROMS before and have had my share of issues but nothing like this, i'm stumped. I think Android not booting up and the charger issue could be unrelated but I could be wrong, never faced this kind of problem. Been looking around, cant find an issue like this, i fear it could be a hardware issue as supposed to a battery calibration issue.
I would like to drain the battery completely and give it a full charge just to see what happens but i cannot keep the phone on without it charging, so cannot drain the battery...
Any help/advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I tried to understand as much as i can and it seems like a corrupted BL/recovery .Have u tried flashing your stock rom?If there is still a problem , then it may be a hardware issue . Try contacting HTC service centre if it's a hardware issue.
If it's not a hardware issue then try flashing some other room and recovery.

[HELP] Stock 5.0.1 phone power up issue

Hello,
I flashed the latest LRX22C image on my nexus 5 today.Had flashed it clean, wiping data, cache and system etc except the Internal Storage. Then I flashed the SUPERSU 2.37 ZIP .Everything was fine for about 4 hours. Then suddenly when I pressed the power button to turn the screen off,it was not turning off and the "Switch off" mode was popping up instead .Then, when I got a call,it switched off.The phone won't turn on again. It starts, the Google Boot Splash appears and the bootanimation starts for like 2 seconds and it switches off.Same thing for bootloader mode.
Please Help me!
EDIT: Now its turning on by itself and switches off in 2 seconds!
Sounds like a bad power switch to me, but of course that is just my opinion. :good:
sounds like a mech issue.

I have the same problem on mine now... Basically my phone powered down around 45%. Battery. At the time i thought it was dead... But it wasnt. When i would plug into external power, either usb or through wireless charging it would power cycle continuously at the android splash screen.... (1 to 2 second intervals - even if i booted into fastboot) Interestingly it would never go to the battery charging mode. But automatically boot on charge... It did this for about 6 hours then i gave up and left it unplugged for a day. I plugged it back in and it started power cycling again, however this time on its third boot it came back to life . thats when i discovered i still had 40% battery... I dont know what exactly made it boot but it did. Oddly also on boot, it started optimising apps and finishing install again. I checked the md5 before I installed the update so no issue there. Since it powered up i have powered the phone off using the power button long push and let the phone power down. After doing this when i plug the phone in to usb charge it goes to the charge screen. No issue. That said, if i try to power up while tethered and charging it will not allow it. It just stays at the charge screen. As soon as i unplug the usb the power button allows the phone to power up and work... When booted up it charges as normal when plugged in. Im convinced there is an issue with the power management drivers or drivers for the button controls. My phone worked fine until the 5.0.1 update was installed. On my nexus 5. Anyone else or just us two? Ive had a hard time finding people posting on this issue.

Nexus 5 Android Power UP

Hi,
First I hope I'm posting this in the right place - to get assistance/direction that will help my situation. If not my apologies - please send me to the right place.
I have a Nexus 5, Android 5.0.1, Rooted.
- My device was charging then suddenly went into boot cycle - showing the Google logo then powering off and repeating the same. Trying to get into recovery mode was impossible - would power cycle out of there too.
- I have tried doing the multiple fast press, and sticky button clean solution (actually taking the back plate off etc.) posted out on the net but that has not resolved my issue.
- Left my phone to charge overnight. The problem still persists. More accurately. Turning it on without it plugged in to the charger does nothing.
All the following is the behavior when its plugged into the charger:
- Without pressing any button just shows a full battery charge icon for about 8 sec then the screen turns black for two seconds and that keeps on repeating. If I press the power button it shows the Google logo for a 1.5 seconds and shuts of, going back to the battery charge icon flashing cycle.
- Now if I press the power and volume down button It takes me to the fast boot mode screen where can cycle through the menu's <Start, Restart Bootloader, Recovery mode, power off>. None of the options work. No matter which I chose the phone shuts of and goes back to the full battery icon cycle.
- I was thinking a battery issue but, when in recovery mode the phone will not turn off. I can use the volume buttons to go through the menu as pointed above but using the power button just takes me back to the battery icon cycle. Now I'm not sure, battery, power button or software. What could it be?
I am thinking, try a new battery or, damn buy a new phone (my phone has outlived its warranty). If there are any ideas on fixing this I'll appreciate your opinions. If i have to get a new phone is there any hope of salvaging data. I have a 4 month backup on my computer, but my latest is stored on my phone.
Thanks.
If you run into this issue and none of the solutions in my original post apply, read on in case my final solution helps you out (you might not even have to get paid help if you know how to work on the fault I was experiencing). If not - nothing more for you to gain if you read on.
As it stands:
I took my device to a reputable cell repair shop. After describing to them the symptoms of my device the out ruled the stuck power button issue and tentatively diagnosed it as a firmware bug or nand memory corruption issue which would require a nand mem flash which they had the tools to do. I went for it.
When I went to pickup the device. They reported that the device was functional and they did not even have to do the flush. My data is safe. Issue was a loose battery contact which they detected and fixed. It's been 8 hours and all looks good. These guys were going to charge me a $80 bill to do the flash if the recovery was successful, but I had to leave a $56 deposit after tax for them to begin the work and pay the balance if the procedure was successful. When closing the deal they just gave me the device and said since they did not have to do what they anticipated, the deposit I left them was satisfactory.
I have my device back and working (at least for now) and have the chance to make external backups incase the issue reoccurs. I'm happy. Cheers.

Dead GFlex2: get LG logo but no startup (or Recovery)

My LG G Flex 2 H950 was working fine, running google maps and playing music, plugged in to the car charger. Within minutes of leaving the car the phone was dead - I could not power it on. I can usually get it to show the LG logo by trying to start in Recovery Mode (holding the power and volume-down buttons for several seconds) but then the logo just disappears after a few seconds and the phone does not power on. But sometimes when I try this the red LED blinks on the phone screen and the logo may or may not appear. Sometimes (50%) when I plug the phone in to my Windows 10 desktop, the computer plays a tone to indicate a new device has been connected, but no icon appears in the list of hard drives or devices.
I think the battery is charging normally - when I connect the phone to a USB volt meter it usually (but not always) shows a normal amount of amperage flowing, and just now when I tried to start the phone it showed the battery charge icon on the phone screen (it doesn't usually do this) and showed 100% charge.
Is there anything else I can try, even if just to get the phone running long enough to backup my text messages etc?
Is there any way to test what's actually wrong? I'd hate to spend money on a new battery or charging port etc for a slim chance to temporarily fix a phone that seems like it's dying.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions...
Hey, i've got the same problem since today. i was watching youtube videos when the phone suddenly stopped working. did you already find the problem?
Sorry for my bad englisch ( Dutch)
No - not solved, phone still dead. Still would love to hear any advice...
I used to have the exact same problem as you - bootloops at the LG logo, no recovery etc. After some reading it seemed that the battery was the root of the problem, and after replacing the battery my phone was back to life - no issues ever since. I recommend you check if the battery is the issue by connecting it to a normal charger (i.e. not charging from a PC) and powering it on, by holding the power button at the battery charging screen. If it powers on normally then it's most likely a battery issue, which can be easily fixed. Cheers!

Phone won't turn on...kinda

On some random day i was on my pc, not aware of the fact that my Q6 had to be charged. I looked over and noticed that the battery died (the phone was in perfect condition and had never had problems before) but then when i tried charging it, it didn't turn back on.
Basically all it does now is show that it's charging, it then proceeds to try and turn on, it vibrates and the screen remains black, after about 2-5 minutes it vibrates again and again until i let the battery drain, then it just shows a battery icon with 0% on top of it.
I have tried booting into recovery or maybe plugging it into my pc but nothing worked, has anyone had experience with this and knows how to fix this?
