Light L16... say goodbye to Zeiss' XZ1. - General Topics

Hello,
it's months I have parked my L16 and as it's an Android-based device, I applied the same as for the HTC Focus: the adb (shell) for the installation of some cool apps.
The result is... amazing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B09oI0Y9JwY&feature=youtu.be
As you can see... we can do also some more "interesting" stuff
...fantastica...
You have exactly the ZX1 camera as proposed by Zeiss https://zx1.zeiss.com/
I will update soon the thread
Basically, the camera is:

The system has a stock Launcher with fixed apps: I installed Niagara Launcher (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/peter...niagara-launcher-🔹-fresh-clean-0-7-3-release/) via adb (adb install nameofapk.apk) getting it via apkmirror.
I got the access to the system and in the same way I installed via APK:

I would like to verify any GCAM compatible (the device it is supporting the recording as well) as well as the way to integrate it into a smooth workflow.

Hi sev7en, I recently got my hands on an L16 and am excited to start shooting with it. My only issue is that my L16 is currently on firmware version v1.3.0.3. Would you happen to have any of the OTA update files from your camera?

Me too.
I just bought one, but can't find any updates online. I have 1306 on mine.
Any help is really welcome.

RK3066 device (Gemini Joytab) Custom rom?

After owning this tablet (to be specific the Gemini Joytab 9.7 duo 10313BK-rev2) for a number of months, I've kept my eyes peeled for custom rom development on this platform and seen nothing.
In the interest of kick starting something, I've noticed that there is development for numerous other RK3066 devices.
I'm knowledgeable in most things root related, but development is slightly beyond my knowledge at the moment.
Would roms such as this be compatible? Or maybe work after minor edits?:

It seems that there's work to move Cyanogenmod to RK30SDK/RK3066 devices
http://www.cm3066.com/
Custom recovery is a good start! Saw a thread which details CWM for our device, although I haven't flashed yet due to lack of custom roms to necessitate a custom recovery.
I'm unsure how compatible this particular project would be with our tablet though.
Any chance you could test, as you have a custom recovery installed?
Or has anyone else found a rom which might be easy to port?
help
Sir is there any custom rom for lava xtron plus etab

gs702c - Get USB-Endoscope-Camera to work

Hello,
i have a USB-Endoscope-Camera (with 10m cable) to inspect my draining away. This works perfect with my Laptop.
I have a cheap 7" Tablet lying around...and try to get the USB-Camera to work. But no program recognizes the camera.
If i use the App "Dashcam" i get a message: "Device has no UVC Driver". I think that is the problem.

The App "USB Host Diagnostics" found nothing when i connect the Camera to my tablet. I have testet on an Android Phone from my colleague...the cam works perfect.
I think without a UVC-Driver the Cam will not work. I have read that the UVC-Driver is in the Kernel. But I am not familiar with this.
I dont have found a way to update the Android on the Tablet. I have found no custom rom. Is there perhaps a way to get an other Rom to work?
Is there a way to get the camera to work with these Tablet? It would be better than an expensive smartphone or an expensive laptop to use to inspect sewer pipes.
Many thanks.

ROM for Switel S4010 or Verykool S4010

Hello,
my smartphone Switel S4010 flash (manufacturer: V3) still has the operating system 4.2.
Now I want to play another version of Android. I've already rebooted the device and installed the App Rom Manager. But I can not find a working ROM for this device.
The smartphone Switel S4010 flash seems the same as
- Verykool S4010 Gazelle
- GINZZU S4010
- DNS S4010
- VIVAX Fun S4010
- Negro Entel S4010
- BQ-Mobile BQS-4010
It seems very similar to ALCATEL PIXI 3 - 4013D and it seems, that it has the same technical spezifications
Who can help.
Many thanks

any way to upgrade the OS on a THL W3 (not "plus")?

I've got a very cool tiny fairly-smart phone that I've used for traveling, running on OS 4.0.4 . Heavily use whatsapp to contact friends, family, locals on it, but I just found out that around November (2021), WA is going to up their minimum to OS 4.1, so I'll lose it unless I toss this phone and swap the account to a newer phone.
-Does anyone have any clue as to any upgrade OS available for this venerable device?? -There's no OS ugrade available from the manufacturer (THL), unfortunately.
Seems like a massive waste to throw away the phone, in that it does the job, the camera is actually acceptable, Waze and its GPS makes for a good road trip worldwide (of course, covid for now is shutting that down), mini-opera fits OK as a browser, have watched youtube in small airports,-and it's also incredibly sturdy...
Not even sure if I'm one of the remaining few to have one running (got a "new" clone battery from aliexpress, but, heck, it's a clone phone that sings when you turn it on [THL==Technology Happy Life], so that worked out fine ;-).
Just in case, I'm copying the full Droid Info details below here (check out those 2013 specs!! ;-).
Hope someone can help out on this! -No need to get to a very new OS - it doesn't have much space, -even 4.1 is good enough...
-Hmmm, as a thought, -any way to hack it's play service interface to fool apps (let's say WA) to think it's 4.1 ??
Thanks for your help and time!!
