any way to upgrade the OS on a THL W3 (not "plus")? - General Questions and Answers

I've got a very cool tiny fairly-smart phone that I've used for traveling, running on OS 4.0.4 . Heavily use whatsapp to contact friends, family, locals on it, but I just found out that around November (2021), WA is going to up their minimum to OS 4.1, so I'll lose it unless I toss this phone and swap the account to a newer phone.
-Does anyone have any clue as to any upgrade OS available for this venerable device?? -There's no OS ugrade available from the manufacturer (THL), unfortunately.
Seems like a massive waste to throw away the phone, in that it does the job, the camera is actually acceptable, Waze and its GPS makes for a good road trip worldwide (of course, covid for now is shutting that down), mini-opera fits OK as a browser, have watched youtube in small airports,-and it's also incredibly sturdy...
Not even sure if I'm one of the remaining few to have one running (got a "new" clone battery from aliexpress, but, heck, it's a clone phone that sings when you turn it on [THL==Technology Happy Life], so that worked out fine ;-).
Just in case, I'm copying the full Droid Info details below here (check out those 2013 specs!! ;-).
Hope someone can help out on this! -No need to get to a very new OS - it doesn't have much space, -even 4.1 is good enough...
-Hmmm, as a thought, -any way to hack it's play service interface to fool apps (let's say WA) to think it's 4.1 ??
Thanks for your help and time!!

Help Recognize my Tablet

Hello All,
The problem is that I am new on this platform so I cant start a new topic so please forgive me that I am posting under this current one as it best fits my own problem too.
I have Purchase a China Tab from a Local Store and this don't have any brand mentioned on it. All that was written on the pack is MID Android 10" Tablet PC Android 10-inch High Resolution. But I have got issues with it...
PROBLEM
1. The screen is not well calibrated... I think because when it is not plugged to anything, along a line on the screen, I cant type anything, if I need to type a key on that part, I have to move my finger a bit to the left so as to be able to get precision.
2 Whenever I plug it to power or computer, the screen gets distorted and I think that is because of the current going over it.. but y?
3. I cant install some other applications from Market because it says "Your Device isn't Compatible with this version" (but i can use same app on my Tab when i download from pc)
AND CAN I UPGRADE TO CUSTOM ROM LIKE JELLY BEAN?
Using Quadrant Advanced, I have the info below;

gs702c - Get USB-Endoscope-Camera to work

Hello,
i have a USB-Endoscope-Camera (with 10m cable) to inspect my draining away. This works perfect with my Laptop.
I have a cheap 7" Tablet lying around...and try to get the USB-Camera to work. But no program recognizes the camera.
If i use the App "Dashcam" i get a message: "Device has no UVC Driver". I think that is the problem.

The App "USB Host Diagnostics" found nothing when i connect the Camera to my tablet. I have testet on an Android Phone from my colleague...the cam works perfect.
I think without a UVC-Driver the Cam will not work. I have read that the UVC-Driver is in the Kernel. But I am not familiar with this.
I dont have found a way to update the Android on the Tablet. I have found no custom rom. Is there perhaps a way to get an other Rom to work?
Is there a way to get the camera to work with these Tablet? It would be better than an expensive smartphone or an expensive laptop to use to inspect sewer pipes.
Many thanks.

I found the source code for the ZTE avid plus firmware. Can someone compile it?

Well, I think I am too late in the party...
I rooted my avid Plus a while back and it got somewhat messed up....
I am currently trying to compile CM-12.1 and Lineage 14.1 for this device along with TWRP to try and see if I can revive my phone and yours too! I'm thinking about flashing TWRP through Download mode or Emergency Download Mode using the QWIL program. I have the original frimware file but I have not tried yet. Maybe just replace the original recovery.img with thw TWRP idk.....
