how to flash this modem ... PLEASE!
modem is for 4,4 firmware
flash using Odin 3.09 and place modem.bin in the CP space in Odin
it may not take first time: see these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2324667 (do not autoboot and flash twice before booting)
this worked for me as per those instructions
are there any requirements before flashing this modem...ie, req new bootloader? etc? thanks

Modem works on MK6 bootloader.... not sure about older versions... you will have mk6 if you took the stock 4.3 update before rooting and such.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537495&page=251
From post 2505
Steps should be like this:
1. Start Odin 3.09 on your PC
2. Click CP button and browse for your GSM/LTE .tar file
3. Power phone off completely
4. Enter download mode (press POWER until vibrate, then press the VOL-DOWN button immediately, then VOL-UP to confirm)
5. Connect USB to phone+PC. Odin's ID:COM should then turn blue to show that it's seen the device
6. Click the Start button to flash

No luck. It won't stick. Tried flashing twice without restarting using Odin 3.09 and used the extracted modem.bin in the CP section.

I semi bricked on MDJ bootloader, gage hero advice is sound. Had to do a full return to stock via odin....18hrs. It would be helpful if we could also report our bootloaders we are using when we flash modems.. I'm on MDJ rogers network. Anyway I'm on MK6 modem. What's wrong with MK6? Your problem as near as I could tell from your posts was trying to install the new firmware on a 2 API Level old bootloader. Completely different.
[edit] looking back on it, looks like you blindly flashed the CP package on to what looks like KOT9H from your post history, without reading up on how to appropriately flash a mismatched modem.
Tried flashing this using odin but no luck. It wont stick. Any other method?

Please do a search on the forums for modem flashing for the i337m and follow those instructions. If you have trouble, please refrain from flashing the modem.
Unless you know what you are doing, you can cause all sorts of trouble for yourself.
Unless you can learn to do it through quick searches, You likely shouldn't be doing it.

Wifi Issue
Hey Guys,
I took the 4.4 update from Rogers using Kies as i was getting the custom error.
I took the NC1 Modem file to match my firmware as it didnt update when the OS updated and everything is working properly except for my Wifi which i cannot turn it on.
Now will the NON-HLOS fix this issue for me or will i need to re-install the OS
I tried to do factory reset, used odin to apply the modem file and do another factory reset.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.
Hi I am new here as i was reading your post so yes non-hlos will fix ur wifi issue get a proper non-hlos that should match with NC1 MODEM...

Thank you for replying.
I am familiar with baseband flashing though my question was more related to the NON-HLOS partition. I've searched extensively for information about NON-HLOS only to see it labelled as a "WiFi fix" with no additional information. With this lack of information, NON-HLOS compatibility with older bootloaders is certainly not something that has been extensively discussed here or elsewhere.
In any case, I'm still after this information and was wondering if others have any insight.
Just updated to NC1 from MDJ (Bell) and can confirm everything is working great!
Thanks!

You haven't tried everything. You have tried everything you know tho. If you had tried everything, there was no point asking.
First, was you on 5.1.1 and did you use CF-Autoroot?
Can you get into download mode and flash stock 5.1.1 from Sammobile?

Well it's a soft brick then.
If I can't help you, someone else definitely know the answer.
Try follow this. This is a guide to flash a custom rom, but well, you just follow the bootloader and modem part and AFTER that you flash stock 5.1.1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3
You can't root on 5.1.1 tho. Not as of yet. Then you need a custom rom. But let's take that after your phone is fixed.
Do exactly as stated in the "guide". Flash modem + bootloader together and AFTERWARDS if it flash succesfully you flash 5.1.1 stock from Sammobile (you can't downgrade so 5.0.2 is not possible to flash anymore. It will fail.)
Just under the guide the bootloader and modem is for the difference models. Make sure to download the right one.
I will try it. I'm downloading the firmware right now (so slow)
Is there any way to turn off the phone? I hope it won0t suffer burn in effect because of the static image.

As long as you can get into download mode, it's just soft bricked. Try different PC's and USB ports. That have helped me more than once when getting stuck on Odin.
But what were you on when you tried to root? 5.0.2 or 5.1.1? Can't see why flashing stock firmware should fail. You sure you do everything right?

If you can acces Download, you can access recovery aswell. Hold down home button + volume down + power button until it starts a reboot. Once the screen go black, release all buttons and then fast volume up + homebutton + power button at the same time and there you go, you're in recovery.
The reason you think you can only get into download mode is because the same button combination that gets you into download mode restarts your phone.
So yes, try flash TWRP from Odin.

Well if you succesfully flash 5.1.1 your phone works again. No idea what's wrong with your Odin tho. Try delete all the Odin files and download it again (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934555153).
I THINK you're on 5.1.1 bootloader and modem as I got the same error as you. I flashed 5.1.1 bootloader and modem and could not start phone before 5.1.1 firmware was flashed.
You COULD try follow this again STEP FOR STEP when re-downloaded Odin (and deleted all the old Odin files). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3 REMEMBER to download the right version for your device. Like if you have SM-G920F it's JUST below the guide, else scroll further. Remember the bootloader and modem should be flashed at the SAME time and is not for the PDA slot. If it succesfully flash them, then try 5.1.1 stock firmware now.
But step for step the guide and be aware of those (DO NOT connect your phone before this step, otherwise it won't work!).
If you don't want to try that all over again (as I THINK you're on 5.1.1 bootloader and modem) you could try download download Odin again (as linked) and try different USB ports + PC's. If you try to flash bootloader + modem again, then try different PC's and USB ports too.
Wait wait guys... I just flashed a newer versione of twrp (
Why the hell i was flashing an older version??? ) and BOOM...it restarted and surprise...5.1.1 upgrade with my data and files (nothing touched and deleted).
I can't figure it out why root on 5.0.2 didn't work...
Finally i got it back working at least.
Thank you guys form you quick support and thank you Faspaiso for the help
Btw, root on 5.1.1 not already available?
Smells like reactivation lock.

I got an issue with an P9 [EVA l_09] after upgrading from latest Marshmallow C432 single SIM to Nougat via SD Card update.app and restart. I did similar updates on 5-10 different devices w/o an issue.
Fist part went fine, but with the second [HW_init] it went into this:
http://www.derjackistweg.de/img_20170601_142722_resized_20170601_022749113
I was not able to flash ANY different update.app after that via SD card [weather Marshmallow 1rst or later version]
The device is stock - NO change in Bootloader
I do not have any recovery from before or whatever.
I do want to use this device in whatever Firmware!

I am on BLN-L24C567B360
Bln-l24c567b360
Hello all, I am on this version and I was not able to install TWRP. It doesn't load at all. Now I want to reinstall the original image and I am looking for the original recovery.img file. Do you know where I can find it? I am able to boot into the ROM pressing all buttons and doing a reboot after. But it is terrible not having a recovery in case something happens.

1. Install the Firmware Finder
2. Download the firmware from which you need recovery
3. From xda download Huawei Extractor
4. Extract from update.app recovery
Not sure twrp can or not the Honor 6x install PV firmwares

please be more specific... i dont know how to do any of this. i know how to flash over fastboot/adb and everything but you need to explain how to extract the update.app file using the extractor program on my PC when the firmware things were downloaded on my phone to an unknown location

Better do this via FF app on PC rather than on phone.

There is a good chance that once you flash the stock recovery things will not go as planned. Best bet is to just roll back to stock firmware and use updater then unlock and reroot again.
For situations like these since it seems so many are having issues with the BLN-L24 recently as opposed to other models of the 6X, IMO the best thing to do is have someone flash Elite modded TWRP and make a compressed, omplete backup of every single partion on a fresh update/install and host it on mega or somewhere with a lot of bandwidth. That way if someone is having troubles they can just flash the modded TWRP and restore everything at once saving a lot of time, frustration and lots of swearing at these damn finicky devices. This version of TWRP alone allowed me to recover a device that I wrote off as unrecoverable and could not even get regular OpenKirin TWRP to boot on.
If this was a few weeks ago I would volunteer to be that person but after spending close to 3 days this week recovering a device that isnt even mine anymore from a simple OTA update gone awry, I am officially done tinkering with Huawei phones, forever. This was the nail in the coffin for me and Huawei devices.
