You haven't tried everything. You have tried everything you know tho. If you had tried everything, there was no point asking.
First, was you on 5.1.1 and did you use CF-Autoroot?
Can you get into download mode and flash stock 5.1.1 from Sammobile?

Well it's a soft brick then.
If I can't help you, someone else definitely know the answer.
Try follow this. This is a guide to flash a custom rom, but well, you just follow the bootloader and modem part and AFTER that you flash stock 5.1.1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3
You can't root on 5.1.1 tho. Not as of yet. Then you need a custom rom. But let's take that after your phone is fixed.
Do exactly as stated in the "guide". Flash modem + bootloader together and AFTERWARDS if it flash succesfully you flash 5.1.1 stock from Sammobile (you can't downgrade so 5.0.2 is not possible to flash anymore. It will fail.)
Just under the guide the bootloader and modem is for the difference models. Make sure to download the right one.
I will try it. I'm downloading the firmware right now (so slow)
Is there any way to turn off the phone? I hope it won0t suffer burn in effect because of the static image.

As long as you can get into download mode, it's just soft bricked. Try different PC's and USB ports. That have helped me more than once when getting stuck on Odin.
But what were you on when you tried to root? 5.0.2 or 5.1.1? Can't see why flashing stock firmware should fail. You sure you do everything right?

If you can acces Download, you can access recovery aswell. Hold down home button + volume down + power button until it starts a reboot. Once the screen go black, release all buttons and then fast volume up + homebutton + power button at the same time and there you go, you're in recovery.
The reason you think you can only get into download mode is because the same button combination that gets you into download mode restarts your phone.
So yes, try flash TWRP from Odin.

Well if you succesfully flash 5.1.1 your phone works again. No idea what's wrong with your Odin tho. Try delete all the Odin files and download it again (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934555153).
I THINK you're on 5.1.1 bootloader and modem as I got the same error as you. I flashed 5.1.1 bootloader and modem and could not start phone before 5.1.1 firmware was flashed.
You COULD try follow this again STEP FOR STEP when re-downloaded Odin (and deleted all the old Odin files). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60112855&postcount=3 REMEMBER to download the right version for your device. Like if you have SM-G920F it's JUST below the guide, else scroll further. Remember the bootloader and modem should be flashed at the SAME time and is not for the PDA slot. If it succesfully flash them, then try 5.1.1 stock firmware now.
But step for step the guide and be aware of those (DO NOT connect your phone before this step, otherwise it won't work!).
If you don't want to try that all over again (as I THINK you're on 5.1.1 bootloader and modem) you could try download download Odin again (as linked) and try different USB ports + PC's. If you try to flash bootloader + modem again, then try different PC's and USB ports too.
Wait wait guys... I just flashed a newer versione of twrp (
Why the hell i was flashing an older version??? ) and BOOM...it restarted and surprise...5.1.1 upgrade with my data and files (nothing touched and deleted).
I can't figure it out why root on 5.0.2 didn't work...
Finally i got it back working at least.
Thank you guys form you quick support and thank you Faspaiso for the help
Btw, root on 5.1.1 not already available?
Smells like reactivation lock.

You need to flash it twice untick autorestart flash ,dont disconnect usb -2.!!power off with button going to reboot auto-hold volume down go in download ,now tick autorestart flash again and you got new baseband. Flashing only once never worked for me
But it should be enough to HOLD POWER OFF UNTIL BLACKSCREEN download mode and flash... So basilcy the the second part of the description over

the diffrence is in the powr off way !! if you turn your device out usually way ,you flash you dont see the new baseband version in the rom , before flash you need to FORCE POWER OFF - HOLD POWER OFF button until BLACK SCREEN ,than right into download mode and flash ,and you get/see new baseband in rom too, if you dont do it like that then the baseband in rom gonna stay the same/old
worked...
Repeated the procedure twice ( 4 flashes ) and then it worked...

Can you boot to download mode?
If so try connecting to Samsung kies application for windows and see if it the emergency recovery will work on your device, it depends if Samsung has made your stock firmware available in kies yet. If they have added support for it in kies or if the stock firmware has been made available for download then you should be able to use kies to do the recovery or if the firmware is available online somewhere or at sammobile.com then you can download it and use Odin to recover it. I don't know if your stock firmware is available anywhere though but you can start a search if you can find out what the build number of your stock firmware is, find your build number and do a search for it, or you can try finding someone that has been successful in rooting theirs and have them use terminal emulator to pull a ROMdump of the stock ROM into an .img file that can be used to flash to your device as long as PC recognizes your device and your device can get into the right mode.

Then find the correct rooting method and start over.

If you can get to download mode then you can download your stock firmware file and flash it through Odin. Look it up, do a Google search for "stock firmware (your device model number)", this should give you links to your firmware, download it and place it where you can find it on PC.
Then do a Google search for "USB drivers for Samsung phones", install the drivers, install Samsung kies(can be found with a Google search) if you need to and it will install your drivers correctly.
Then do a Google search for Odin 3.10 and install it on PC.
Boot phone to download mode. Connect device to PC with stock cable, open Odin, if the device is recognized you'll get a blue or yellow comm# box and it will say <ADDED> in the dialogue box in Odin, select the AP button in Odin, browse to where you put your stock firmware on your PC and select it, when back in Odin screen, click Start, let it flash and you'll get a green PASS and the device will reboot, let it boot and load, it will be slow, after booting sign in and you're good to go.

Are you sure you're flashing the correct stock firmware for your device model number?
Try flashing and if it gives you the bootloop, try booting to recovery and doing a wipe cache then reboot, if that doesn't work, try booting to recovery again and doing a factory reset in recovery and wipe cache then reboot.
If that works to get the pre rooted firmware booted into system and you want to get back to stock I can tell you how to unroot your device and leave it that way or unroot and then flash the original non rooted stock firmware.

Are you able to boot into recovery using the correct button sequence? Use this button combination:
Press and hold - POWER + VOLUME UP
If the recovery menu shows up, use the volume up/down button to scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Let it wipe and then select Reboot System Now and see if your device will boot normally. Good luck and let me know what happens.

Okay. No problem. I've had some issues with Odin 3.11 which you said you used to flash back to stock. I've had the most success with Odin 3.07 and 3.10. I would download Odin 3.07 and use it to flash the stock firmware. Make sure you are flashing the same firmware version that you were using before your problem started. So, if you were using 5.1.1, make sure you flash a stock 5.1.1 firmware.
Also, where are you downloading the stock firmware from? I use www.sammobile.com. It takes forever to download a firmware if you don't have an account but it's legit, stock firmware. Hope this helps. Good luck. Let me know what happens.

and the roms i used was from sammobile
Was the device running a stock ROM with stock recovery installed or was it running a custom ROM with a custom recovery installed? If it was running a stock ROM with stock recovery I would try and flash the exact same firmware from would try and find out exactly which version of Android the device was running if I were you. Let me know. Ill help with what I can.

Have you tried to use Samsung Kies or Smart Switch and selecting the Emergency Recovery Mode? That would be my next step if all of my Odin flashes did nothing. Give it a try and let me know what happens. Good luck.
how i select the emergency recovery mode
ah the another problem samsung kies 3 dont read my device
I've tried everything that i could find using google. Nothing has worked so far.
My friend has a S6 that was on 5.1.1 with root. It didnt received OTA updates so he tried to flash the new Nougat rom using ODIN. Alas the phone softbricked.
I can access download mode, but doesn't matter what firmware i try ODIN always end up failing. It's either sboot.bin, cm.bin so i think it has something to do with the bootloader? I'm not sure.
Tried to use SmartSwitch too but after it downloads the firmware it gives me an error and says to enter safe mode (????) so that's not working either.
Has anyone have an ideia of what to try next?
Thanks in advance.

Hold down all the buttens on the phone , it should eventually get to download mode , then flash twrp and then flash a rom and see if it boots that way

Already tried. Touchscreen on TWRP is not responsive.
Do you using latest Odin 3.12.7 and newest Samsung USB Drivers and latest right firmware for your model (the best way to get it is SamFirm)?
Softbricked S6, Only Download mode
Hi,
I'm facing the same issue. Tried multiple firmware from sammobile using latest version of odin. I can access only download mode and when not in download it boots till the samsung logo and goes into bootloop. https://imgur.com/a/9bJnM

Touchscreen is not working on TWRP. I'm downloading a Custom ROM and will try to install it trough ADB using TWRP commands. Shot in the dark.
Ended up not working.
Tried PhilZ recovery and I got to flash Global Elite rom but it doesn't boot. Is PhilZ compatible with Nougat roms? What else can I try with this recovery.

Download right newest firmware for your model, use SamFirm to get it. Then use Odin 3.12.7 with newest Samsung USB Drivers to full-flash stock ROM. Set also "Factory Reset" in Odin then START. If Odin shows you 'pass' then everything comes good.

Did you for sure used right firmware correctly for your model etc? Look HERE, try like that.
How is/was your reactivation lock? On or off. I had problems with odin when it was ON.

Still i'm facing the same issue. I'll try flashing it on another pc later today. Also, Should i change any odin setting while flashing ?? Like NAND erase or bootloader update etc

Not necessary, just "Factory Reset" and that's it. I don't know why Odin shows you "pass
" and your phone still shows "system status: custom". Looks like Odin didn't flashing correctly.

This was before i flashed using Odin. I tried flashing twrp first and then stock rom. Does this make any difference ?
P.S: I'm not able to access recovery mode, only ODIN is possible.

Ok, but why stock? If you flashed TWRP then full-wipe and clean install for example Noble ROM. Try like that...

Hi,
Thanks for the help. Watched the video and follow his steps...
But now suddenly the hidden.img flashes on the phone.
So I get a green pass by Odin.
But phone doesn't start!
Tried "auto reboot" on and also off.
It doesn't fail anymore.
Deleted the hidden.img file and flashed it afterwards.
I can't get him alive. I'm gonna try other official firmwares with an older android version. I don't get it.... Why only download mode? Not even recovery opens. #notgivingup
should I try to root it with cf root and try to get a recovery mode on it? This phone needs to be wiped I guess.
try to get into recovery , and give general reset....
or try to install twrp -to install a custom rom...
does not make downgrade to android , it can break

Could it be that I super hard bricked this phone by flashing everything over and over? I always think, as long the phone boots in download mode you're pretty safe.
Can't flash twrp, stock recovery.....
No official firmware is booting the phone up. I used to have the hidden.img problem but nog every firmware flash completes but still doesn't boot the phone.
Is there an order in which I need to try to flash? Like, try firmware first, then a recovery,.... Or first a bootloader and modem, then a firmware...
Oh God help me!
Thanks for the replies I already got!
normal you should first bootloader ...after firmware
you tried that job ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-repair-hard-bricked-devices-t3573865

Wow that link is a whole lot of Chinese for me. but I'll look into it this weekend! Thanks for keeping up with me. My phone still boots in download so I'm a step ahead. Gonna try flashing stock firmware without auto-boot ticked in Odin, then reset and restart phone manually in download mode and try to flash right bootloader. Should I go for the latest firmware or more like a 6.0.1 firmware?
firmware 7. is to good , why use it 6. ?
"Wow that link is a whole lot of Chinese for me. " lol for me too

Well because I flashed like a couple of firmwares... And heard about downgrading is bad but... Yeah this isn't really downgrading.... Im just trying to wake up my friends phone. I will try to flash the latest firmware and then the bootloader right after it.
Hi guys,
So still no luck. Flashed latest stock firmware, tried flashing bootloader right after the successful flash, no luck. Tried rooting with cf-root, which completes but no custom recovery... Not booting. So yeah I'm on that download mode again. Anyone has some solutions I could try? Could I try converting a custom Rom zip to a tar file and flash it with Odin?
Thanks!
Hey guys
So I think i'm facing a similar problem on my s6 sm-g920f. When I flashed a stock rom 7.0 it passed with no errors, but when it tried to restart it just stays at Samsung logo. I too can't access recovery mode, only download mode. And when I try to do the "removing battery" method using volume down and power button it turns off but turns on right after and gets stuck on Samsung logo.

At least your phone is booting to the logo. I literally flashed everything! Recoveries, stock roms, tried rooting, bootloaders, stock rom with and without hidden.img...pit files.... if you find something... Let me know!
Huh am facing similar situation one s6 was in softbrick I I had odin mode successful but it showed G9280d, custom binary system official, I got a similar stock recovery then The device did boot to home screen but system wasnot stable everything stated crashing I did reboot that's when it could only stop at Android s6 then I did cross check to get it labled g920f flashing ends with either CM erorr or bootloader, in miracle it stopped at hidden or CM or pit in odin am clueless.
Man try holding V- ,home button and power key it will work just try harder. I faced it just today though mine is still.
