Nokia charger use on Sony ArcS

Dear all,
I'm wondering if I can use Nokia charger for my Sony Arc S or not as I see its port is the same. I'm asking this because Sony charger cable is too short that sometimes it's hard for me to move the phone. Will it make my battery damage if I keep using it for long time?
Thank for reading my post.

It shouldn't be a problem, but you'll still want to compare the output of the chargers. If the Nokia can't put out what the Sony charger can then it will take longer to charge, or possibly charge it faster, but it will die faster. If it puts out more, it should be ok, but still compare the outputs in mAH to each other.
For example, with older phones, you couldnt charge a motorola razr with a blackberry curve charger because it put out too much power, but you could charge a blackberry curve with a razr charger, and it would charge fast, but also die fast. The old htc phones like 8125, 8525, if completely discharged sometimes would only come back on with an original htc charger, nothing else.
I prefer an OEM charger, but will charge with whatever if that's all that's around.
I have an HTC charger and it works fine, also my wife has a pony Ericson x10 mini which also charges my galaxy s2. You max find it a little slower but test it out. I sometimes found tho using the HTC one overnight for example on occasion would make my phone warm. Try it out tho it shouldn't be an issue.

also, if both chargers break down to usb cords, just use the nokia usb cord with the sony plugin part... its that part that produces the charging power...
By what you all said I have checked the stat of both charger as below:
Nokia: OUTPUT: DC 5V, 550mA
Sony: Output: 5.0V, = (a sign) 850mA
So according to this, if I use Nokia it will take longer than using Sony itself right ?

That's a significantly weaker charger... Yea, itll most likely take longer to charge the phone, but certainly not damage it in any way...
Thanks for all the helpful posts. I have idea about it now

Xperia L charger amp ?

What is the output of your OFFICIAL charger that came with your xperia L.
mine came with 850mA while I think Xperia U had 1000mA compared to this. Also, the battery of Xperia L is about 1750 compared to 1320.
Just curious, it is just me or it is coming with 850mA charger out of the box ?
I've checked my old charger for Xperia X8 which I'm using to charge my XL and the one that came with XL and they both giving ouput of 5.0V and 850mA
Also what do you mean with the battery ?

Thank you, yes it was confirmed that it comes with 850mAh charger.
I was talking about the battery capacity which is 1750 for Xperia L and 1320 for Xperia U. The more the capacity of a battery, the longer it will last. (Simply more battery time).
Also, if the charger is rated as 1000mAh or (1A), it will take less time to charge the battery than using a 850mAh (.850A).
However, there is a safety current that should be used to charge a device as exceeding the current might result in damaging the handset.
Moreover, if you use a less powerful charger, the battery life will increase. Say if you charge your phone with 1A and I charge the same model with 0.850A, my battery might last for 2.5 years while your battery die after 2 years.
I was only wondering that what if Sony should have provided 1A charger than .850A. That's all

Xperia Z3v from Note Series

Good day all. Just want to ask some of you who may have made the jump how you're liking this device. I have the Note 2, Note 3 and about the get the 4 through work. I've been reading a ton of good things about the Z3v and am really on the edge about grabbing it. I love the Note series, and while the locked down nature of the 4 sucks, I'd still get it.
Basically my question is, if you've made the jump to the Z3 from Note how are you liking it? Are you happy you made the switch or do you regret it? Any and all help is much appreciated, as always.
I was using a note 3 previously, bought the note 4 when it came out loved the battery improvement on.
But now I changed to the Z3 only to use the remote play function , I am using this as my daily driver for 3weeks straight now and I am quite impressed coming from a note series . battery life is amazing on it much better then the note 3, kinda miss the fast charging from my note 4 but overall really enjoying it

Quick Charge 2.0 works on the Z3 series, you just need to buy a charger separately

No it isn't supported on the software side. Hardware supports it but kernel don't support. Have the docomo quick charger 2.0 and didn't made the difference. others have tenergy which has an indicator led for quick charge and it doesn't lit up when plugged to z3

But it works on your D6633? The OP is talking about a Z3v. Quick Charge 2.0 absolutely works on my D6616 (completely stock) using the Tenergy Charger via USB.

My docomo quick charger doesn't charge my unit much faster than stock. Mine is a z3 dual. Does your tenergy led lit up green when connecting to your z3? Other user here says their tenergy only lits up with blue which means only regular charging. that's why it made me conclude that z3 don't have qc2.0 enabled as of now.

Yes absolutely, the light changes from blue to green. I tried other non QC2.0 devices and the light doesn't change. It only works through the micro-USB port and not the magnetic charging port.

I'm not going to drain my battery to 0. When QC2.0 was going it was charging at almost 1%/min
Same as mine it's 1% per min.:-& not so quick in my opinion. Almost Similar with stock charger

Fast charging!??

Ok so I'm looking at the z3 specs page on gsmarena and notice it states on there that the z3 has quick charge 2.0, 60% battery in 30mins!
So, why is my z3 charging at the pace of a slug!??. We are talking more like 10% in 30mins charge!
Don't you need a compatible charger for this feature?

You need a Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0 certified/supportive charger. The Tenergy one on Amazon is cheap and has good reviews. I use my regular charger however.
Oh right, sorry guys, didn't no you need a special charger for it! Would have thought Sony would have provided one

[Q] Sony CP-AD2 USB AC Adaptor quick charger

Hi guys, Lollipop Stock rom seems to take longer to charge battery from 0-100 when compared to that of kitkat. (more than 3 hrs) . I dont know whether this is related to electric supply from boards in my home or not.
I am trying to buy Sony CP-AD2 USB AC Adaptor quick charger but need reviews before buying this. Is anyone using this ?? or used in the past ? Is this compaitable with Xperia Z3 and faster ??
Also suggest me if there are any quick chargers available in the market other than sony one (Z3 supports qualcomm quick charge 2.0) ???
