EXT4 is the most versatile and the most common in android, some users prefer swiching to f2fs because it uses a faster read/write speed than EXT4, but EXT4 is more reliable.

[Q] changing ext3 to ext4 ?

I currently have my phone setup as ext3 running MIUI (last weeks). I want to know how to convert my filesystem to ext4 ? Do I need to run NvFlash again ?
Thanks
Not really sure how to do it manually, but if you flash faux123 4.3 kernel it will do it for you, make sure it is 4.3, very nice kernel good battery life and fast.

Well I was going to try
[ROM][Gingerbread 2.3.3] Weapon G2x 3.0_R1 [NEW TWEAKS APP & FEATURES!][10.22.2011] WhiteHawxk.
Faux .4.3 kernel doesnt convert partition to ext4, it leaves it the same, but it mounts as ext4.
Edit: i myself use this w/ miui

there are no ext4 controls. ext4 is enabled in the nexus s by default. plus the mount data ext4 script is in every custom nexus s kernel out there.
What phone? What ROM? I believe the filesystem is by default ext4.
nexus s, original rom
so the filesystem of nexus s is ext4 by default, is that right?

native NTFS support on Android
Android doesn't have NTFS native support yet... all internals are ext4, I recommend you to format extFat for microSD and USB drives - however, Paragon NTFS provides ntfs suport for Android

CharizardX-CAF-r57 All F2FS?

I have an All F2FS version of the latest CM110-M10 snapshot that I want to use the CharizardX-CAF-r57 kernel with.
I have tried and failed to make the r57version ALL-F2FS compatible
I was using the F2FS Tools in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53836165&postcount=1
I know there are other CAF Kernels that support All F2FS, but CharizardX has the BatteryLifeExtender option that I like and want to use.
Any help getting this Kernel running with All-F2FS would be great.
Thanks
Have you tried asking in the thread you linked? Seems the best place
