i have my 5 years old z3 and last 3 months it started giving me trouble. it keeps freezing telling system.UI not responding and Sony Home not responding etc. every time i have to repair with Xperia Companion and it work normal again until problem reoccurs. usually a few days after using, somehow problem is there. I thought that it could be problem with Sony rom.
I installed carbonRom which worked fluent another 2 weeks and suddenly today it started again SystemUi not responding. Carbon UI not responding. I started thinking it is a hardware issue. Is there anyone else having this problem?

Maybe it's because of an app you are installing, check your app list there may be a reason

Managed to get myself one from the CPW yesterday afternoon, and since then I think my new phone has crashed about 150 times. Every time I open any browser app, it crashes. If I use the loud speaker then which back to earpiece while on a call, it crashes. The list goes on.
Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
I got mine from CPW and now had a single thing crash! A few apps have lagged for a second or two but that's becuase they haven't been updated I'm assuming.
But as far as the OS is concerned I have not had these problems. Maybe something went wrong during your update? I'd try a reset.

Thanks for the reply. Just tried a factory reset. I noticed that I didn't need to download the update this time. As soon as I tried a few of the apps it crashed.
Any other ideas?

i had the play store crash on me quite abit when browsing my app purchase history, also the main launcher a couple of times. i don't think it's *quite* ready for primetime just yet. the price of being an early adopter i suppose.
Yeah suppose it is. I'm having to take it back today. It's restarting every 2 mins. Gutted!

The camera app crashed multiple times even after a reboot.
Also, when I was trying to search contacts the google search crashed.
I'm also having seemingly random crashes. At least a few times a day. No pattern. Could be from pressing the power button. Watching a video on YouTube. Just typing into this box. Anything. I already tried doing a factory reset. No luck.
Maybe a bad flash? Reflash factory image if it still crashes, return it. I've been using mine since Monday, the only thing that crashed was Firefox Beta but that's fixed now with the new update.
Had my nexus 5 for about 3 days now.
It randomly restarts through out the day,
I'll be watching youtube videos with the youtube app I'll just watch the volume bar just go to 0 when I'm not even touching the volume buttons, I'll turn it back up only for it to auto turn back down.
Today I'm having issues with the camera, very time load the camera and try to take a picture, it will just freeze and the phone will reboot.
I've also had issues with the WiFi connecting to my network, like I have to trick it into connecting.
I want to love this phone but all of this random crap is pissing me off.

I'll give this a shot and report back!
How to understand crashed? Rebooted or just your apps crashed on it?
If only apps, it might be 'cause they are not compatible with Android KitKat yet.

For me it freezes up for around 5-10 seconds then restarts. There is no usage Or app associated.
Tried reloading the stock image. No difference. RMA it is!

Oops...my earlier reported problems with crashing were resolved after simply restarting phone...
Wow...I haven't had a single crash on Android from 1.6 all the way to 4.4.2 now. Guess I'm just lucky. I did have a Moto X that kept rebooting though, but it turned out to be a bad RAM chip. Maybe thats the problem here?
Hi guys, I am having a strange problem with my nexus 5, or I should say my Wife's Nexus 5. Right what is happening is that when my wife's phone is connected to a WiFi network it does not receive calls. My phone is identical and has no problems at all. The phone has been back to where we bought it from for repair twice and they finally gave us a brand new phone. After getting home and restoring my wife's phone it has the same problem. Both phones are stock and updated to 4.4.4 . I have checked the settings and as far as I can see they are identical. If I reboot the phone it will ring with WiFi on but after a couple of minutes the problem returns.
Now I would guess that an app is causing the problem but I have tried uninstalling and re installing most of her apps but still can't solve this. I have spent ages on the phone to our provider (T-Mobile UK) tried my sim in her phone but still have the same problem. Is there any type of diagnostic software or app I can run to try and pin point the problem?
The phone has been factory reset but still got the same problem! Bearing in mind the phone is brand new and has the same problem as the old one its got to be an app hasn't it, but how to work out which one
Thanks in advance

Well after an evening of uninstalling and re-installing apps and resetting it seems to have cured itself. I am sure it was something to do with the recent system update, as the problem only started recently. The phone is just over 6 months old and we have had no problems until this. Still fingers crossed it seems ok now.

Hi, i'm having the same problem!! When on wifi sometimes calls get through but most of the time it blocks them, I also thought it had to be something about an app but i even booted the phone into safemode which disables all 3rd party apps and the issue was still there. Where you being able to narrow it down to something in particular??
EDIT: Nevermind, i think i found a thread with the solution.

I should have updated ages ago, the problem was in fact being caused by the sim card. Dont know why it suddenly started playing up but it coincided with the software update to 4.4.4 But my phone was identical and had no problem and my wifes did. Compared to hers my sim was relatively new we eventually ordered a replacement sim and there has been no problem since
Sorry I could not be any more help
Every now and then I get this random reboots on my phone. Today the phone was on stamina mode whole day and was wondering whether this has got anything to do with the problem at all (just making a wild guess). Some days I dont get any, some days it restarts itself twice or so.
Appreciate any help.

I believe I found the reason for the reboots.
When the phone is on stamina mode and if I am using google now launcher the reboots come back. I have read in multiple forums that Galaxy S5 suffered from the same for a while.

Hi. My LG G Pro 2 is facing battery issues. It is getting discharged very quickly. It is also getting heated for no reason. My phone has been rooted via towelroot. I had rooted the device long back, but the problem started today. It has the original LG software. Kindly help.
Can try restart.
Any special apps you installed or updated lately?
Sometimes, google service update that is pushed automatically will have this effect. A day or 2 later, problem would be gone.

I had installed the game killer app. Did that cause a problem? I have deleted it now, but the battery issue is still there.
look in the settings under Battery to see what is using the most.

Hi all. My Xperia Z3 has a problem, it hasn't caused me any undue harm yet but I fear it may. I download a few sideload apps a couple of days ago, this all started after I downloaded them. I've backed up my phone and restored it but still keeps happening.
Any help would be great.
It's an app. Can't really tell which one. Uninstall them one by one until it stops.
