Is "Touch-To-Track" feature missing on Mi 4i?

Hi,
I saw this neat feature "Touch-To-Track" that focuses on moving objects . This so called feature is ought to be present on MIUI6 , but I haven't yet managed to use it!
Can others try and confirm? Can we port this feature to our device?

It happened to me too
Don't worry there's a solution. You might have used mi4i toolkit v3 for rooting.
But when I tried the updated toolkit that is V4 from MIUI forums.

Exchange email encryption fails
Guys, first the rom fees great for a WIP! Seems everything works as expected for me but can't find a way to add my exchange account to the email app, I tried even to encrypt the device and see if it would work but nothing, also downloaded a zip file another device forum to bypass exchange security. exchange support is quite incomplete in cm 12.1
that should get rectified in near future by cm team itself
Patch Sensors
Flash Patch-sensors.zip with TWRP
Then, factory reset needed.
after the first boot, change the lockscreen into a pattern mode to cope with SoD
Find bug : Animation off charging

Error
I am trying to flash the cm12 build using TWRP however I am getting an error message - "error executing updater binary in zip" This package is for device: ferrari; this device is TCL_M3G
However this a Mi4i. What could be the problem? Has the device name changed over updates?
Please help.

Check my post above.. About toolkit v4
Tried that and failed
So here is the deal. i did see that post and tried to flash twrp which is in v4.
It shows successful and reboots but i still get in to the normal MI recovery. Dont know whats going wrong here.
Finally proud to say I'm a 4i owner. It runs way smoother than MIUI. Sweet. ^^ Thanks for all the hard work.

Development of Mi4 stopped?

Why the development of Mi4 is this slow? I can't find a single stable rom for my device even the source code has released by xiaomi. What is happening?

You should also search on Mi3 section: mi3/mi4 are using same roms!
Will every rom work on both devices or I have to search for only mi4 on mi3 section?

In general all roms work on both mi3/4, but in each thread developer write the eventual exception.

All ROM from mi3 Thread can be easily flashed on mi4. but notice that dont put them on mi4 LTE. It causes problem sometimes
There are 2 Mi4-LTE variants - the more common one - Mi 4 lte-cu can install ROMs for Mi3/Mi4 without problems (the ROMs may not have a 4G option though). Only the version Mi4 lte-ct has problems. You can check your Mi4 version in About Phone.
I have non lte version
Then you don't need to worry about ROM compatibility, just check the ROM's thread for instructions.

There could be some exceptions, i remember trying some older CAF rom which didn't boot on Mi4. First post of rom thread usually has info what hw it supports.

[ROM] XIAOMI.EU Mi MIX - Nougat 7.x - MIUI 9.x based (start: August 25th, 2017)

An official Xiaomi release timeline has been posted on: http://en.miui.com/thread-711086-1-1.html
... in result of this an release schedule has been made public for XIAOMI.EU ROMs here: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/7-8-11-first-miui-9.40890/
conclusion: Expect an update/release delay at least until August 25th, 2017
Sorry, but wouldn't that be better placed in news section? If i remember xda rules right a ROM thread needs a download!
Hey @pappschlumpf,
you're absolutely right, of course. Thread re-created in news.

This maybe a stupid question but here goes...I really don't know how to ask this without it sounded confusing. Ok, my mi mix came with a MIUI installed, I unlocked the bootloader and rooted and have twrp installed. Now I installed Epic ROM it didn't have MIUI in the discription of the epic ROM I flashed. Do I have to flash a MIUI ROM or can I flash any ROM as long as it's for my mi mix.

When you say the description you mean... The zip file name? The MIUI version in settings?
When rooted and with unlocked bootloader and working twrp you should be able to flash any of the roms you find in this forum for Lithium, which is the code name for this device. MIUI is just the official builds of the manufacturer Xiaomi...
Here we are... 25th!
When it will be released today? What time?

you can get xiaomi.eu roms here:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/miui-weekly-rom-releases.103/
but there is also an custom miui 9 rom available from mr. raines (epic miui rom)
... short notice for existing xiaomi.eu MIUI users: OTA updates are live - you can now update the easy way again -> just press the check for updates button within MIUI
I checked with ota but its say..no updates

OK, I understand thank you for taking the time to be respectful and helpful. Sorry for asking this here but could you maybe tell me if I can use xposed on 7.1.2 and if I can could you maybe point me into the right direction so I can install. Thanks...

You can flash Xposed v87/v87.1 by SolarWarez from 7.x.x to 7.5.4(latest MM beta build). Next versions are Nougat based which has no proper Xposed support(there is an Xposed by SolarWarez for api 24 Nougat too but unstable atm).

Thank you, I like nougant ROMs but I can't really customize nougant like I can MM. I have looked for a MM ROM but didn't find one, probably just looking in the wrong places. If I could flash a MM ROM then I would be satisfied lol.

I do not see any 8.5.4 stable version for the Mix. Latest China Stable is 8.5.3 and latest Global Stable is even older.
Anyway, if you wana go from a stable build to xiaomi.eu you need an unlocked bootloader, twrp, etc... Follow @underlines wonderful guide in Mix guides section in this forum

Actually SolarWarez is in beta test of this branch modded for Nougat...
4PDA is a great forum to find some interesting stuff...
I made a link for tester but not needed to report any issue here until solarwarez share is final version over XDA !
MIUI 8.5/9 Android 7 (nougat) xposed + XMiui > https://download.lesscro.com/MIUI/
SolarWarez report that, he tested only magisk version of this mod and seems work but with bug...

2 Questions about camera & ROM

Hi,
I hope that this is the relevant forum, if not, please transfer the thread for the relevant one.
I have Xiaomi Mi Note 3, very enjoy with this phone, I have 2 questions please,
1. When We will get OTA Oreo update? Currently I use MUIU 9.6.2.0 version.
2. How I can install Google Camera? I understand that it's better then phone regular camera app, is it's true?
Thank you.
Hi, Miui 10 is still under development - there is only China beta rom. Global developer rom is not released and probably won't be. For Google camera you have to root your device and install Magisk. In order to work properly follow this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-3/how-to/google-camera-how-to-mi-note-3-t3757049

Thanks for reply,
I prefer not use the China version.
About the camera, there is any chance not to root my phone and use it ?
Unfortunately there is no other method - you can enable Camera2 api without root but in order the front camera to work you have to install a Magisk module which requires root.
As for Miui 10 you can flash xiaomi.eu rom but the Google camera cannot be used.
The google camera is worth it ?
Google camera is taking better pics in low-light situations. The daylight photos are on par with Miui camera.

What you mean ?
EU is multi-language and clean of Chinese apps.
In MIUI 10, Gcam does not work.
