Hi,
I saw this neat feature "Touch-To-Track" that focuses on moving objects . This so called feature is ought to be present on MIUI6 , but I haven't yet managed to use it!
Can others try and confirm? Can we port this feature to our device?

It happened to me too
Don't worry there's a solution. You might have used mi4i toolkit v3 for rooting.
But when I tried the updated toolkit that is V4 from MIUI forums.

Flash TWRP again and you are good to go

exchange support is quite incomplete in cm 12.1
that should get rectified in near future by cm team itself
Patch Sensors
Flash Patch-sensors.zip with TWRP
Then, factory reset needed.
after the first boot, change the lockscreen into a pattern mode to cope with SoD
Find bug : Animation off charging
( i can't speak English ) hahahaa
Error
I am trying to flash the cm12 build using TWRP however I am getting an error message - "error executing updater binary in zip" This package is for device: ferrari; this device is TCL_M3G
However this a Mi4i. What could be the problem? Has the device name changed over updates?
Please help.

Check my post above.. About toolkit v4
Tried that and failed
So here is the deal. i did see that post and tried to flash twrp which is in v4.
It shows successful and reboots but i still get in to the normal MI recovery. Dont know whats going wrong here.
Finally proud to say I'm a 4i owner. It runs way smoother than MIUI. Sweet. ^^ Thanks for all the hard work.

When Can We Expect Action: Mi 4C Android Development & Original Android Development ?
When can we realistically expect some action in the following forums:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/development
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/orig-development
When/if Xiaomi release the kernel sources
Hopefully as fast as they released it for Mi4i. I get my Mi4c in a few days
Got my Mi 4C here... Really needs some stock Android.
Hey,
i'm too, very interested in this phone. I'm coming from the oneplus one. I like flashing custom roms and having a stock android/aosp experience.
Is the bootloader and everything else open with this phone, so that the development will be up to par with the one of the opo for example?
Thanks!
If anyone here uses Twitter, maybe they could kindly tweet Hugo Barra of Xiaomi to ask him:

How fast was it after the phone released? And where did you buy yours from?
Cyanogenmod 12.1 is available now,but I cannot create a new thread.
Why the development of Mi4 is this slow? I can't find a single stable rom for my device even the source code has released by xiaomi. What is happening?

You should also search on Mi3 section: mi3/mi4 are using same roms!
Will every rom work on both devices or I have to search for only mi4 on mi3 section?

In general all roms work on both mi3/4, but in each thread developer write the eventual exception.

All ROM from mi3 Thread can be easily flashed on mi4. but notice that dont put them on mi4 LTE. It causes problem sometimes
There are 2 Mi4-LTE variants - the more common one - Mi 4 lte-cu can install ROMs for Mi3/Mi4 without problems (the ROMs may not have a 4G option though). Only the version Mi4 lte-ct has problems. You can check your Mi4 version in About Phone.
I have non lte version
Then you don't need to worry about ROM compatibility, just check the ROM's thread for instructions.

There could be some exceptions, i remember trying some older CAF rom which didn't boot on Mi4. First post of rom thread usually has info what hw it supports.
Things i have knowledge on :
1) i searched and got MIUI rom which is designed for SD410 ( refering to REDMI 2 Prime - SD410 variant)

2) i also searched for Porting MIUI8 to Qualcom devices.. ( worth mentioning that i once ported unsuccessful MIUI rom to MTK device)
i flashed MIUI 8 in my frnd's HonorHolly - it looked amazing , i desperately wished to make it work on my MotoG3 (2-16gb xt1550)
please share your valuable knowledge of making an BOOTABLE and Stable MIUI 8 rom for our MotoG3
my doubts are as follows:
1) No onScreen Nav keys on any MIUI - how can we insert them ?? even though if we insert do they look awkward? or they'll be same as ours?
2) is it easy or Tuff job to make this MIUI8 ?? how much work do we need to do ??
3) is there any stepby step process for noobs like me to make this work done ??
thank you all your suggestions.. i feel much delighted if you people help me :highfive:
Download sources and start building. It will be hard i guess. U can trt flymeos rom which is kinda based on miui .on screen keys can be added using build.prop. the keys will be depending on which android version u hve

but where should i start? any process?? i really havent got knowledge from where to start !! but i know there isnt going to be CODING :silly: but just copule of copy pastes..and running exes'
can u give me idea from where should i start ?
i have that ROM downloaded.. what's the next thing i must look into?
Search xda for guides like how to build a rom. If u r porting chances are it will not work. U cant just download another device rom and start porting to our device. U need to have linux knowledge for building

i am following this @banerjeeayan1996
http://www.osbusters.net/2015/11/how-to-port-miui-7-rom-to-qualcomm-smartphones.html
is this enough ?? to make MIUI 8 ?
--------
i have overcome this point :
The Port ROM and the Base ROM should have the same android version
now does this mean !! we should wait for 6.0.1 or 5.1.1 ??
i dont know which version is on that MIUI8 huh..
@banerjeeayan1996
thanks for sharing, i searched for ROMS which are currently on 5.1.1 or 6.0.1 , i could get 5.1.1 MIUI8
i asked the dev which rom should i use for MotoG3, will proceed upon his reply
atlast i am going start Porting , TY bro

You cannot build miui from source because source of miui is not open. While Miui use patchrom technology which is very similar to patching UI part over existing stock/CM framework. It is available upto kitkat but lollipop version is not available yet so we have to port miui from similar devices.Currently the most suitable candidate is Lenovo A6000+ or Redmi 2s Prime but i doubt the build will have ril or wifi working or even boot. it tried it many times no success yet and no senior developer is interested or have capability (due to closed source and unusal structure of miui) in developing any other Flavor Rom other than Cyanogenmod or stock based like flyme,MIUI,Lewa,Funtouch etc so we are helpless only some miracle will make MIUI Boot to our Device.
Hello,
Does anyone knows where can i find the global developer package for mi mix 3 ?
Thanks
No, the package has not been posted anywhere. I have been trying to use search engine indexing to find it and the Global stable fastboot. I haven't found either of them.
