Just wanted to start some discussion amongst the users of this phone in Canada. I bought mine from Amazon.com, went through the official T-Mobile unlock code procedure (what a pain in the ass) before the unlock techniques came out.
I've got it on an unlimited data/calling/txt plan through Mobilicity currently.
I am currently using Glorious Overdose V2 on it, but there are still some things I haven't gotten to work, anybody else have any luck with these?
1 I've added the APNs as indicated here:

...but MMSes don't work, they just say "Downloading" and never do.
2. Data (2G) roaming doesn't work: the phone connects to "CDN Roaming", the data indicator shows the phone sending data, but the phone never receives any data from the network. Phone calls work, data doesn't though.
Appreciate any feedback.

I just bought a T-Mobile compatible Straight Talk sim for my Atrix 4G with CM10 and I am having some problem getting data to work.
Now first off I used to have AT&T prepaid and could get data from there, but I decided to try Straight Talk since the $45 unlimited plan sounded nice. When I ordered the sim last week though, the only one they had available was the T-Mobile compatible sim. But I have a sim unlocked phone, so the customer support guy I was talking to said this would be ok.
Got the sim, installed it, phone and sms works, but no data. I've tried every APN I could find for both the AT&T and T-Mobile sims and none of them works for me.
I was wondering if you guys have some thoughts on what I might have missed, or maybe have some updated APNs that currently works today.

Long time lurker, first time post. I am running a stock OPO 64gb with stock CM 4.4.4 on USA T-Mobile with unlimited data + int'l data. *Short version, OPO not connecting to data /MMS international & USA.
While in USA/WA, my mobile data was working fine. I crossed the border to Canada and my phone connected to Canada Rogers, but I was not getting mobile data or MMS. Voice and text were working. After calling T-Mobile several times, they "reset" their network settings to remedy, but still no fix. I had friends w/ me on T-Mobile branded phones, they had LTE / 4G on Canada Rogers. Internet browser said: ERR INTERNET DISCONNECTED.
I crossed the border from CAN to USA/WA, and my phone was still connected to Canada Rogers. I reboot my phone, and I only get T-Mobile voice and text; no data and no MMS. Called T-Mo again, and no fix.
I return home, swap SIM card from OPO to Nexus 5, and voilĂ ! Getting LTE and MMS. Swap SIM back, and OPO will not connect to Data or MMS. So the problem does not appear to be SIM related, but OPO related. I wonder if my Nexus 5 would've worked in CAN for data/mms.
*About two weeks ago, while in USA, my mobile data stopped working, I had to get a new SIM card, which solved the problem, but I can't do this all the time, or when Int'l.
My question: How do I get my OPO to work w/ mobile data and MMS w/o getting new sim? I'd like the OPO to work in CAN and USA since I will be traveling to CAN often. Thanks.
Have you checked to see if your APN is correct?

I git a new SIM at t-mobile and had the same problem, voice and SMS only.
I reset my APN settings to default, and data and mms are working again.
APN settings all looked same as before though. I had tried resetting the APN in Canada, but it hadn't worked, but I didn't have Canada APN settings though...

Hey all. I just got my hands on the note edge from a friend. He says its unlocked although it was originally at&t (symbol on back cover). I put my tmobile sim in there and it seemed to work just fine. I was able to make calls and send and receive texts, etc. I did notice that I was unable to get data connectivity like 4g/LTE which I was getting on my old unlocked s4. It would just show the bars but not 4g/LTE/3g symbols. Are there any fixes for this or tricks to get the data to work or will it not be able get it at all because it was at&t to begin with and Im using a Tmobile sim? I would not call myself an expert around phones. The most I have done is install a different ROM but that was with supervision haha. I also tried to search for USSD codes but didnt have any luck with that.
Any help or advice is appreciated!

Now I been with T-Mo when the S8+ was in pre order, I got the phones, now I switched to MetroPCS....
The problem is I had Wi-Fi calling with Tmo but when I put the Metro SIM it reboots and the Wi-Fi calling disappear. My friend has 2 Notes 8, he got them factory unlocked and he was with Tmo with Wi-Fi calling then he switch to Metro and his Wi-Fi calling works too, I believe my problem is Tmo software.
I want to flash my phones with the unlocked/international? version, how I do this without losing Samsung pay? even better if I can do it without losing any data at all.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Check your APN against your friends phone that gets Wi-Fi calling.
